“I came here relatively late on a Friday night. I had a ticket back home on the Metro-North and I didn't want to miss my train, but I also wanted to grab something to eat. The restaurant staff were very helpful in getting me a bacon burger to go. The burger was fairly greasy. It would've been nice if they included a plastic fork for the coleslaw. Overall, they came in clutch.“
“Despite all the restaurant competition in Beacon, this place is still a stand out. Nice venue to see some of the old time greats. Food was absolutely fantastic, but they seem a little short on the front end. Not enough staff. But if you have a little patience you have a wonderful meal.“
“My mother in law and I went to Beacon to celebrate our birthdays and chose the diner for our lunch. They have a wide selection of food on the menu. I had the farmers breakfast wrap and home fries. Mom had her eggs and lox. We didn't see it on the menu but asked the waitress if it was available and she said sure. We were very happy with the service, quality of the food and the prices.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a small diner with a ramp for a wheelchair, walker and stroller accessibility. I didn't walk around much through the interior as we were seated next to the entrance. I cannot verify the comfort level of spacing throughout the restaurant. The bathroom was accessible.“
“I work at the DMV in Beacon and we had our holiday party catered by the Beacon Daily. The food was delicious! Everything was hot and portions were plentiful. The bang bang cauliflower not too spicy and was a big hit! And the Big Mac tater tots was another fun appetizer that was overloaded with all the trimmings. We also added chicken sandwiches and the portions were huge and very tasty. We highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to order again.“
“This is the best restaurant in Beacon! The food is always amazing, and I really love their creativity. Every month or so the menu changes and they develop incredible new dishes around a different type of cuisine or theme. Staff is super nice too - vibe is always perfect. Also, Bree is an incredible bartender. Can’t recommend her cocktails enough!Vegetarian options: If you tell them you’re vegetarian ahead of time they will prepare vegetarian versions in place of each meat course.Dietary restrictions: They’ve happily accommodated requests for vegetarian food or eliminating a certain ingredient due to a food aversion. Really appreciate that so that everyone can enjoy the pre-fixe menu.“
“Management, service, food quality and value were all excellent. I made a note that we were there for my mother's birthday which was automatically acknowledged upon arrival and throughout the evening. Most importantly my mother thoroughly enjoyed her experience.“
“Simple burger spot in Beacon - stopped by to eat a well deserved burger after a long hike. I got the single Dutch Burger ($11) and some fries ($3.50) to go. I loved all the veggies in the burger; lots of spring salad mix, tomatoes, slivered onions and lots of pickle slices. It was a pretty messy burger though, lots of water was on the bottom of my to-go container and the toppings kept on falling out. I thought the patty was a bit on the smaller side and the fries were way too soggy, but overall a decent spot!“
“'twas open Easter Sunday. Vegetable hash seemed to be expensive at $21, but was so good, we ordered second one. Baileys coffee at $12 was ok. Breve coffee was good, but the beans were overroasted (say, compared to Undeground Breve). Overall, good place, food, and Service. Only one restroom, always busy, but clean and great soap there.“
“We happened to stop in on Easter Sunday without a reservation. Luckily enough we were able to sit at the bar, which was amazing. Luke, the bartender steered us in the right direction for food and their amble beer selection. Will not only be back but will tell anyone heading in that area to go.“
“Wings are to die for. Service is great because bartender's get to know your name which makes you feel welcomed. Ambiance is not what a bar called the Barking Frog is all about but the people are good, the food is great and the music (or games) are always on“
“Very cool British restaurant with a not-over-the-top Doctor Who theme. The people are lovely, warm and inviting. Real Whovians! So Who fans can engage and geek out with the staff.Even if you're not a Doctor Who fan, the food, service and atmosphere is charming and worth stopping in for casual dining with good options.“
“Anyone discrediting this place is most likely a Karen it’s family owned and you’ll see the same people working everytime you go in, one of the only original places still on main st in beacon everything’s made fresh so yes there will be a wait from time to time for good reason obviously and the prices are quite fair compared what other places charge now a days“
“PLEASE GO IF YOU ARE IN TOWN!! It was Saturday night, 2/10/24. I was in town with a relative and Went to Main Street in Beacon alone. I just wanted to see what the town was like and all of a sudden. The whole town went black!! Lights appeared In front of me, the only thing that was lit up in the town. The music entertainment was fun and appropriate for the atmosphere. Very talented guys. I went there as a southern lady from Ga, kind of skeptical about going in alone, but I was greeted with a friendly smile from the girl bartender. I had a wonderful few minutes speaking with a gentleman in this establishment. After speaking with him a few minutes, it turned out he was the owner of Max's Place. Wow was he nice and welcoming. I would have never guessed he was the owner. This place I recommend sincerely because the service is amazing and the atmosphere is very friendly and fun. I'm happy the town went black and I found this cozy place to go in and sit to rest my feet, after being in the city all day walking. Having a cold beer at the bar was nice. No one messed with me. So, thank you to the young lady bartending, whom I don't know her name, and to the gentleman who made me feel comfortable at the bar (the owner) Sorry, I am not positive of his name and I won't assume that it is Max.“
“Gosh! This delightfully fine establishment served me what must have only been my second ever pickle back that I have consumed upon my travels within the United States of America. It was definitely in the top two of the pickle backs I have ever had, and so henceforth I would like to commend this fine bar for their beverages, service and general good atmosphere which made for a jolly old time.“
“Food was great, lots of variety to choose from. Large selection to choose from as well. Don't go for a quick bite thou kitchen on the slow side but we never care because we're there to chill and catch up with friends and meet new ppl.“
“Busy , busy busy but way understaffed . Looking forward to coming ( really do) when they are fully staffed. These amazing remaining staff members hustled! Impressive. Just stopped for a drink, ordered shisto peppers HOT!! But a you'll see we apparently didn't mind!“
“We came here nearly every day for breakfast during our stay in Beacon. Their breakfast sandwiches are made from scratch and loaded.I’m gluten free but hoped to try a NY bagel during my visit. This place granted my wish! loved my gluten free bagel with the vegan veggie cream cheese. My NY experience is complete ?As other reviews mention, the customer service is subpar. But I’d still come for the food.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bagels availableVariety of vegan options including delicious vegan cream cheese“
“My first stop off the train for my day trip in Beacon. I didn't really have much planned out, as sometimes I just like to go by feel.I walked by Beacon Bread Company on my initial walk through main street in the pouring rain, and noticed a crowd of people outside here with cool umbrellas and that's really what got me. Plus anything with "Bread Company" attached to the end is such an easy sell for me.I was alone, so I walked in and smiled sheepishly at the hostess while softly saying the words "table for one?" with a light smile and holding up my right hand with one finger up. l was seated at the bar immediately which is another major perk of eating/traveling alone. Vet Move.I was planning on having a big meal later so I just wanted something light, and that's when I saw the grilled cheese and tomato soup. I may be weird but I just love a tomato soup especially when the sky is profusely sobbing.I don't know why I expected a big tomato soup with a small grilled cheese, but it was really a big grilled cheese with a small tomato soup. But that's on me. I gotta own that. Personal accountability. The grilled cheese was solid, but it wasn't the best I've had. It really was more for show as the cheese spills out of the end of the bread, but there's not much cheese in the middle. As my middle school basketball coach would always say “Don't bite on the pump fake! Never leave your feet!”But dipping the grilled cheese in the tomato soup was everything you dream about as a little kid. I used to do this with spaghettios and a grilled cheese my Granny would make me hahahaa. The contrast in the toasted bread with the softness of the tomato soup is a combination everyone should experience once in a lifetime. But yeah, overall a great experience. This place is lowkey Beacon expensive though ahahaha. $13.50 for a grilled cheese and small tomato soup had me feeling like I was back in NYC.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“
“On our way down Main Street, we were drawn into Reserva from the live music playing inside. We changed our plans and decided to grab a bite here. The menu is pretty limited, as it is a wine bar. But the food was very good. The croissants melted in your mouth! The quiche was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh. I was disappointed that they do not offer pão de queijo on Sundays.“
