“I recently stopped by Hudson Smokehouse in the Bronx and ordered the brisket, turkey, mac & cheese, and baked beans.

The brisket was the standout: tender, properly smoked, and sliced thick enough to hold its structure without drying out. It had a deep, smoky flavor without being overpowered by sauce. The smoked turkey was equally impressive—juicy, well-seasoned, and a great lighter counterpoint to the brisket.

On the sides, the mac & cheese was rich and comforting with a solid balance of creaminess and bite, while the baked beans had good depth—slightly sweet, slightly savory, and clearly simmered with care rather than treated as an afterthought.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere felt casual and unpretentious—exactly what you want when the focus is on the food. If you’re looking for reliable, well-executed barbecue in the Bronx, Hudson Smokehouse is absolutely worth a visit.“

The gentleman there was kind enough to accommodate my friend and I with plates and utensils.He also offered us extra pieces of bread for free.Call ahead of time, wait time may take 15min-20min. “I've come here a few times with some friends to get a quick meal and it has never disappointed. The food is extremely reasonably priced and the quality is excellent for the cost, with a large plate of nachos only being 14 dollars and a full cheese pizza being only slightly more. If you come here with a large group and order shareable items the price is easily below 10 dollars per person. The service is very fast and the eating area is very pleasant and open.“

“A friend of mine bought a large pie and gave me a slice and I must say this is one of the best pizza I’ve eaten. 5 stars!!! I live in the Soundview section of the Bronx and don't believe they deliver but I will be by passing all these other pizzerias. This is The Best.“

“Excellent! Visited from upstate Ny and they were so amazing to me and the family. My daughter loved their food and loved their potatoes in their stew chicken and they made my daughter feel special by giving her extra while eating and to take home . Felt like I was with family. “This is the 1st time I went to this restaurant and it certainly will not be the last. I ordered the jerk chicken with the rice and peas with cabbage. The lady behind the counter was super nice and helpful. The food was delicious and I usually do not like spicy food but this food was on point. The chicken was not dry. The rice tasted a little sweet and the cabbage was tasty.“
