“The food was spectacular. Our server, hostess, barmaid and valet were truly the best. They all deserve to be recognized on great customer service. The hostess came to our table well after we paid and asked us politely if we wouldn't mind moving to the bar. I understood the reasoning for this completely. The manner in which this was done was very professional. I know there are people that have a problem with this. We are not one of those. It's all in the way it is handled which was very professional. We did go to the bar and the staff was kind enough to offer us a drink for understanding. We were pleasantly surprised by this and very grateful. We appreciated the parking instructions sent by the restaurant. It made it so much easier knowing in advance what to expect. We made a long trip from Long Island and look forward to returning.”

“I brought my daughter for dinner this past Thursday night. I didn't know there was live music. I was a little worried at first that my daughter would find the music too loud but she loved it! The honey truffle Brussel sprouts were so delicious. I can't wait to go back and have it again. We also had the risotto funghi and banana bread pudding....both also very tasty. I also tried the happy jalapeño drink...so delicious and not sweet. Overall a wonderful night out!”

It was my dads birthday and it was our first time back at City Island in YEARS!Angel was our server and he made sure everything was to perfection! I am so pleased with the food! My mom and sister were happy with their drinks and the ENERGY of this place is UNMATCHED! SO SO SO SO MUCH FUN! Dancing and lots of laughs! Will definitely be back in the future and will definately continue to recommend Vistamar to the public!! I had the Caesar salad with chicken in it any the flavor was freaking AMAZING. It felt like I was eating a MEAL and it was just a salad. Omg! My price range was between 50 and 100 dollars bc I had 3 drinks (non- happy hour) with that salad. I loved everything.”

My pasta fazole, veal saltinboca were SPECTACULAR, my friends said their seafood appetizer was so good they almost didn't order a main course but when I suggested the chicken saltinboca and her husband had a fish dish that brought him memories of his childhood we knew this was truly a wonderful place that we'll have to go back to. And although this review is long I must admit I took home an order of chicken parm and two desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back.And the chocolate martinis are TERRIFICDietary restrictions: They adjusted the chicken saltinboca for someone who doesn't eat pork and it was still delicious.”

I tried a few dishes (Memelas de Wagyu and Enmoladas de Pato) for the first time, and I was in shock, super delicious!! I want to congratulate their staff and owners for their constant effort to elevate the experience at Tobalá and improve every day, bringing this beautiful concept to the community. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the area.”

Never had lobster Mac this good… I am an event planner for a very very well known retailer through out the world and I eat at many restaurant's and travel all over and this is one of the best lobster mac and cheese I have ever had. The wings were also cooked so perfectly and the seasoning was a thai flavored sauce. Absolutely amazing . Also, one of the only places that can make a top shelf Long Island ice tea. You’d think wow how can someone get that wrong… you’d be surprised how many bad ones I’ve had. It was a little pricey (the drink) but completely worth every penny.”

Wood-fired, soft yet grilled crust, fresh mozzarella, really good tomato sauce, and generous with the toppings. Dining in is also a great experience -- it's warm and homey inside, and you feel like you have left the grind of daily life and are settling in for a festive, really good meal. Doesn't feel like an Americanized Italian restaurant but rather a small pocket of Italy in the Bronx. As for the rest of the menu, top notch Caesar salad, really good banana bread pudding, scallop/lentil appetizer is good but best to share because it can be a lot of the same flavor and filling for an appetizer. Must try place in the Bronx!”

Excellent sandwiches - pastrami, corned beef, brisket, turkey roll, open faced sandwiches, chicken/tuna salad, all delicious and large enough to split with someone. Delicious brisket and turkey dinner plates and open faced sandwiches too. They also make the perfect hot dogs and I love the matzo ball soup with noodles as well! Really can't go wrong, you won't be disappointed.”

She said I needed the full receipt to confirm that I had multiple dips. Then after telling her I searched the entire bag, in a rude voice she said I had to bring the bag in to prove that there were no dips, as if I was lying. Then she put two dips in the bag, and then shoved the bag towards me. I told her I needed 4 more and she started laughing saying they were coming. On top of all of that they forgot my fries and I didn't even feel like going back in there. She was so extra and rude for no reason.”

Everything was bland and did not please our palettes. The cocktail hour with the hors deuvers was great! We would've been happy if they fed us those all night, they were very tasty bites. On this day, I was invited to a business lunch and I normally don't order the steak but I took a chance. Not a great choice. Steak was subpar. I always order my steak medium. It wasn't flavorful. Green Beans and Yukon Mashed Potatoes were ok. The problem was everything came out the kitchen lukewarm and not hot. I've had plenty of steak from different restaurants and this was probably the worst. Outside of this experience, I always enjoy my time there. One of my personal favorites is the Cashew Pep. It is what it's called and does what it is. Lol a nice cashew infused drink that gives you a much needed boost of energy. A burst of energy. A pep! “This is the place! Early in covid they were the first ones to reopen and bring the neighborhood back, creating outdoor seating long before anybody put up those structures. Now they bring in polished and accomplished musicians who play wonderful classic blues and rock and roll. I've eaten here multiple times, but I've always gotten takeout. The staff is very friendly, and while I do not speak Spanish, we were able to communicate fine. The shrimp burrito is my favorite: it is massive, well-seasoned and delicious with a generous portion of shrimp. The cheese burrito is likewise good, and a great vegetarian option. The rice and beans and nopales are very good side dishes, especially the nopales and onions that were perfectly caramelized. I've previously had the pollo tacos as well, but personally I found them rather dry and bland-- so far the only thing I've disliked out of everything I've had. The portions here for everything are massive, and I easily get two meals out of a main + side. Overall, a great value for very good food served in big portions!”

Then she put two dips in the bag, and then shoved the bag towards me. I told her I needed 4 more and she started laughing saying they were coming. “Great addition to the list of authentic Mexican restaurants in 138th street. The food and service are stellar at the upscale Hacienda Agave. We started out with appetizers- tortas with chicharrón, ceviche, tlacoyo, tuna tostadas and esquisites. It was all delicious. Next up were quesadilla de Carnitas: soo good! The mole de pollo which was phenomenal and every dish tasted better than the next. The Chamorra was my favorite- lamb shank in a rich stew, we also had the Branzino- which came beautifully wrapped in corn husk, it was moist and had a very delicate scent of herbs. For dessert: the churros were crispy and soft with dulce de leche. The tres leches was perfect and not too sweet and the flan was velvety and rich. The cocktails are varied and there are choices for all tastes. I started off with a non alcohol drink- cucumber and ginger- the bar was so accommodating and made our dinner party horchata martinis and a non alcoholic horchata martini! Highly Recommend !”
