Best Ramen and Japanese food I've had since I spent month in Tokyo. It's the most authentic place I've found in NYC.Get the Takowasa with a beer, or get it to go and take it next door to Redd's.The shochu(like Japanese Soju) is great as well and this is the only place I've found that even sells it. I love this place.The service is always great. Friendly, helpful, and Japanese.
This was alright. Neighborhood joint that specializes in ramen & other Japanese cuisine. Ordered the spicy miso ramen, garlic edamame, and agedashi.The ramen was decent. The pork was tasty & noodles too, but the broth was just alright. It felt like the miso wasn’t fully emulsified.Edamame was good. Salty & garlicky.Agedashi was okay. This is a really cosy restaurant with very friendly and efficient staff. The appetisers are fine but you come here for the ramen, which is spectacular - I recommend the classic Syoyui. Make sure you add a marinaded egg ?
