“I don't throw this around often, but this was easily one of the best tasting menus I've ever had!!! I’m not even gassing it. Flawless, no misses, no notes! Every course was creative, beautifully executed and packed with flavor combinations I never would've imagined.

Tucked in the back is an intimate chef's counter serving a seven-course tasting menu. Watching the chefs work right in front of you while every course is personally introduced makes the entire dinner feel like a story unfolding course by course. Some of my favs: The Lox, Chicken Wing, Pork Collar + Olive Oil Cake.

“A wonderful Yemeni restaurant .. great people… great food… and the big circle bread: the rashoosh. They have the fahsa, they have the kibdeh, and of course they have the haneeth but they also have Yemeni favs that are not usually found at other restaurants: shafoot, Sana’a kebab, and roti bread! But my fav.. that rice. Hands down the best rice I’ve had in a long time! A def must try!“

I had chicken tenders, my mom had fried shrimp ,we both had with sweet potato fries that had a slight syrupy taste which were amazing, we got hush puppies and calamari to split..both great..we ate and still have plenty left for a full meal.. also have a seperate full bar, frozen drinks, tv's etc service was also great ..I definitely recommend ...oh and great prices“

“This Father’s Day I got to experience Strange Delight with my family. It was a 10/10 experience.

Our server was the bartender as well and he was amazing. If ever you go; ask for Mike. Mike gave us all his recommendations and they were all a hit!

The service was superb, food delicious and the restaurant itself was a nice vibe. Even the bathroom was nice and well kept.

We’ll be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by a lovely and cheerful hostess, we felt at home. I don’t recall names but I remember experiences and feelings in great detail; our server (tall+slender young man) had mind-reading abilities and impeccable taste combined with the easy speed of an athlete in bringing our orders. It’s about the food though, right? Brussels sprouts at Lundy’s made me a fan of a veggie I’m not always a fan of. Delicious spicy calamari. Linguini+clams with theeeee best perfectly-salted buttery sauce with I have had in ages across 3 countries. A chocolate dessert served with coffee ice cream. Don’t let Lundy’s location (a long drive for me) prevent you from paying a visit. You’ll be glad you did.“

“Absolutely adore Swoony’s. The place is charming and welcoming and the service is fantastic. Hands down one of the best cheeseburgers in NYC and a must try for any burger lovers. It really is uncanny (and delicious) how much the burger tastes like a grown up version of McDonalds. I will go back for it. The whipped goat cheese and wedge salad are fantastic. Don’t sleep on the dirty martini and ask for their blue cheese olives in it.“

“Every dish at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster was on point. The west coast oysters were so good that we ordered them 3 times! The crudo and tuna tostada were refreshing and a great way to start our meal. Octopus salad was my favorite dish, loved the olives with it. Lobster roll with butter (not mayo) was great too. Fries came crispy just how they should be. This is definitely a place to go in a group so you can try several dishes and flavors. Servers were friendly and helpful too. Large wine selection and they let you try as many as you’d like! Only negative comment is that the seating wasn’t very comfortable, but the quality of the food made up for it. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a seafood spot in Brooklyn.“

“This is a magical spot. I’ve had dinner here twice, most recently for their Sunday Supper. The food was excellent across the board — in addition to the three courses included with the meal, we had the pearled barley with burrata and the bone marrow with mashed potatoes. The three of us couldn’t agree on what we loved the most. My personal favorites were the bone marrow and the chicken soup with cilantro and lime (would pay $$$$$ for that soup the next time I’m sick).

Don’t sleep on Ilis for a light dinner and drinks. Even if you’re not doing the full tasting menu, this place offers so much for you to try that you likely won't find anywhere else. As someone who has sat at the bar many times, I’d say that the cocktails are on par with bars like Maison Premiere and Please Don't Tell (all the drinks are excellent but don’t miss the Carajillo!). And the a la carte menu offers dishes that are consistently delicious and interesting. It’s a BEAUTIFUL restaurant that’s been meticulously crafted, and everyone who works here is really knowledgeable and friendly.“

A few of us did the Rana Table brunch and we were not prepared. It’s a full family style feast and it just keeps coming. Borek, marinated beyaz cheese, kizartma, artichoke spread, Izmir pine honey with kaymak, soujuk, menemen… dish after dish of incredibly fresh, flavorful Aegean food. All for $35 a person. Unreal value.

“Host a birthday party there. We booked a large room to fit over 10 people. The room was in basement but it is very nice, because it has ktv as well. The service is pretty good too. The waiter helps us change plate quite often. They also give free dishes and gift. They have various seafood and all of them are fresh and live. Overall it was a amazing place to enjoy seafood.“

“An amazing omakase dining experience at Shota. Premium ingredients and amazing taste. Each and every course was finely prepared and beautifully presented. Service was top notch throughout. Sake list was also impressive with massive selections of both common and rare sakes. Some rare ones were priced pretty steep.

I would definitely do this place as a wine bar first with some light bites to snack on, but don’t know if I would return specifically for the food program.

ALSO— I found it really obnoxious that they let dogs in the backyard, you never really know who is allergic or what a dog‘s temperament is and either way I just found it really offputting that people were just letting their dogs go up to random patrons during their visit. For a $170 visit I’d hope for more sophistication.“

“A beautiful bar in Broadway,Brooklyn, love the vibe, decoration and style, a great place for a date or looking for a fancy drink experience.

Only had the oyster from the happy hour, as they are a good deal for $1 each, but the rest of the menu looked quite varied and interesting. The drink menu was great, in particular if you like Martinis the variation is quite good. Had the Deux Chats as it was the $13 option, it was great gin martini with nice celery hints. The Pomme Fumee is an interesting martini with scotch and a touch of apple. Martini Jardin was a cool tomato and herbal experience, even if you pop the tomato cherry garnish on yourself! Battle of Puebla had the Mezcal and hibiscus salt working well in synergy.

The staff was nice, professional, and efficient. The music selection was on point, with lighting, furniture and decor added to the overall experience. Prices are standard for any upper tier bar, although the happy hour prices are a great value. Give it a look if you are near!“

“Boardwalk Beer Garden turned out to be exactly the kind of place I did not know I needed tonight.

It’s right on the Brighton Beach Boardwalk, which already gives it a strong advantage: beach air, ocean nearby, and a calmer feel than the heavier Coney Island energy down the way. I had spent some time outside by the beach first, just taking in the water and the boardwalk, and then decided to step inside for a drink and something to eat.

Inside, the place had the feel of a real neighborhood bar: comfortable, lively, and unpretentious. Sports were playing across the TV screens, so it had that good sports-bar energy without feeling overwhelming. I was there by myself, but I never felt out of place. That matters. Some places have a way of making a solo customer feel invisible; this place did the opposite.

The margarita was excellent — honestly, one of the best I’ve had. Big credit to Phillip, who was an incredible bartender and made the whole experience feel easy, friendly, and welcoming. Good service is not just about taking an order. It is about reading the room, making people feel comfortable, and adding something human to the night. Phillip did that.

I also had the Jumbo Mozzarella Sticks with the margarita, and they absolutely hit the spot. Simple, satisfying, and exactly the kind of bar food you want when you’re sitting inside after time on the boardwalk.

Overall, Boardwalk Beer Garden was a very pleasant surprise: a relaxed Brighton Beach spot with a homey feel, good drinks, satisfying food, sports on the screens, and genuinely friendly service. “Came into this restaurant unfamiliar with Moldova and their food. Staff was happy to share their culture with me, and extremely helpful with wines and deciphering the menu. Extremely high quality and affordable white wine selection, and the food is good even if you usually do not like Eastern European food. The staff is fluent in Russian, English, and Romanian and made it a point to speak to me in English even though I brought a Russian-speaking friend. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Brooklyn who likes to try new foods.“

I spelled correctly) who provided us with exceptional service. The aesthetic of the restaurant is very nice and light and has a Parisian feel with the outdoor seating. The brunch options were wide, and we ended up getting the short rib bowl as well as an order of the pancakes, and the Caesar salad with added grilled chicken. Everything came out in a reasonable table, no long wait and all fresh. The taste of the short rib bowl was very rich so the flavor was a lot for one person, but delicious nonetheless. I got a side of soft scrambled eggs which were pretty bland and likely should have gotten cheese with it, but it helped cut the richness of the short rib. Also peas for brunch threw me off a bit but still yummy! The salad had real anchovies which mainly carried the dish. The Caesar dressing itself was good, but definitely needed the anchovy for the balance. Lastly, the pancakes come with a syrup sauce and a sweetened butter cream type sauce both were incredible. The pancake itself was on the doughier thicker side but still had a nice crunch on the edges. Overall good experience and would return!“
