“This was our seventh time celebrating Thanksgiving here and we were so happy to be here! Genera was our server and she was wonderful and kind. Dad is a Marine living at The VA Nursing Home at Montrose and this is his favorite place because they always treat him well and the food is delicious. George and his team make it look easy though you can taste the effort and love the team puts into every meal. I highly recommend eating here. GO!“

“Had my nieces Bat mitzvah here. The food was outrageous, the service was fantastic. Only negative, they kept clearing the plates away so fast. Some people lost their plates as they were eating. My niece got her plate taken away and never even got to eat. There was so much left over food and I don't know what happened to it all. I hope it went to a good place.“

“This restaurant is five stars. Absolutely. We are so happy to have Richie‘s kitchen downstairs from Westchester Dance artists! The food is delicious and so healthy. The service is extraordinary. Once I left my glasses there and Richie tracked me down to make sure that I had them. The steak is especially delicious, great guacamole, great everything. . Including cleanliness. This place has atmosphere, warmth, and great community.“

“Delighted that we finally gave this a try with some 'foodie' friends. This was a very pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and excellent. When we asked about two of the Portuguese wines on the wine list. The waitress brought us a sample of each to help us decide. Just that deserves an extra star for service We had two appetizers: the lobster tostones and a special bacalhau. They we both delicious. We tried three of the entrees on the menu. The risotto with lobster had nice chunks of lobster on an al dente risotto with gruyere, the crab cakes with a small salad and the fish and chips. All three of the entrees were done very well. We all agreed we will be again!“

“I decided to get Wanna Empanada for my son's 4th birthday party instead of the go-to pizza. Wanna Empanada responded very quickly to me with a catering menu and were so easy to work with. We picked up the empanadas the night before since our party was on a Sunday. They provided instructions on how to reheat and packaged the empanadas so beautifully that we didn't even need to pull out serveware to display them. We ordered 7 different kinds for a total of 78 empanadas and every single one was delicious. We hosted 20 people at our place and were only left with 6 empanadas as leftovers. Our guests insisted on taking leftovers and could not stop eating them. Afterwards, I received texts from our guests telling me how delicious the empanadas were. The outside are the perfect thickness and perfectly crisp and they are STUFFED with filling. No skimping here. We will now be expected to serve empanadas at our gatherings instead of our usual pizza.“

“Fireside is my new favorite place. The staff was so friendly. The new outside deck with beautiful red umbrellas is very comfortable with a beautiful view. Our food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Dessert was amazing .Definitely try this place. You will love it.“

“Was visiting another store in the plaza and dropped in here for lunch. Wasn't busy so we were able to pick our seats. Nice drink menu and the margarita was large. The salsa tasted really fresh and had a little hint of spice to it. Loved the beef flautas. Service was friendly and fast. We also had a shot of coquito at the end that was delicious!“

“Char is a great place to eat. Incredible attention to detail, service is great even at a busy time. Great cocktails - Fizzy Peach! Not in the menu any more but they’ll still make it. You’ll see the man who runs the place everywhere shaping everything that’s happening all the time. Runs a tight ship but staffed properly so they have the time to do a good job. “Wonderful experience yesterday. We were a party of more than 20 people, some in their 80s and 90s. The waitstaff was extremely patient and kind. The service was excellent. The food was great too! “The staff were very polite but we felt rushed by 2 servers and this made us feel uncomfortable. We did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling, very stoic atmosphere. The food on the other hand, was prepared well. We don't recommend the bacon slab as it was very salty. We will visit again in hopes the service will be different.“
