“I've been eating here since the 1990s, and it's been around since well before then in a different location. Excellent food, always cooked as requested. Service is always friendly. Prices are right where they should be for a diner in Syracuse. All of this has held true at each of my visits over 25 years. I'm disappointed they had to start closing earlier during COVID, and then haven't been able to go back to being open for dinner due to not having enough consistent staff. This was a preferred location to go out for dinner to eat breakfast food.“
“My husband and I are in Syracuse for the weekend and stopped here for dinner. The diner is super cute and has such a warm feel! I had the Friday night haddock dinner which was amazing and my husband had the hot beef sandwich. I swear he ate the entire meal in under 10 min! I’m so happy we found this little gem.“
“My # 1 diner to go to, it's never a let down. The food is always great and the portion sizes are incredible!.It's a small shack and a bit claustrophobic but the staff are amazing. You will easily miss the turn and the parking is what it is.One thing i would love for this establishment to do is open a second location with more space inside and out. But all in all when you come here you will NOT be disappointed.“
“I stopped in a couple weeks before for breakfast to scope out the place for a group....I made reservations for our group, plenty of tables were set up together for us, service was good as well as our meals, coffee carafes were set on the table for us along with the wait staff coming over with a pot to serve coffee... nice and bright inside and very clean...Parking: Large parking lot... parking in front of the building as well as parking in the back side of the building with a door in the back as well...“
“Best food you could ever want at very reasonable prices. Hot turkey sandwich with fries and gravy is awesome!!! Fish fry is even better. Waitress are fast friendly and they make you feel at home. Thursday spaghetti and mb is better than any Italian Restaurant and only $10.95. Super good!!!!“

Here are my reasons:1) Time Management + Customer Service: I believe the time it takes to be served after placing an order is crucial in any restaurant. I'm not suggesting service should be as quick as a fast food chain's, but I've often experienced extremely long waits, almost an hour, especially in diners during weekends. Since my visit was on a Sunday morning and the place was full of customers, I was concerned about a possible long wait. However, our welcoming server, Deanna, quickly took my order and kindly recommended options as I was contemplating among several choices. To my surprise, I received my food within 5 minutes. I was impressed and realized this efficiency was possible because all staff members were handling their responsibilities professionally and promptly. Therefore, I was very satisfied and wish to praise their professionalism.2) Food: Naturally, food is also a crucial factor in evaluating restaurants. I tried the ‘Biscuit Bowl,’ which includes biscuits, eggs, potatoes, and bacon with a special sauce. It was delightful. The dish was neither too salty nor too sweet, striking a perfect balance. Several other menu items looked enticing, and I'm eager to try them next time.Overall, I'm thrilled to have discovered this place and to see everyone enjoying their meals. Which is also one of the very reasons I adore Sweetgrass Diner .This is a very cozy & comfortable setting with a laid-back vibe. Everyone will feel welcomed and greeted with a smile. The service is A1! They all work together so beautifully to ensure each table is attended to and served in a timely fashion. You can't beat that! The food is pretty darn good, and the price point is even better! As a mom with 4 children, I love being able to take my girls out for a great meal without breaking the bank. That in itself will keep me coming back again & again. Overall, it was a really great diner!“

“Great meal at very good prices! We came for breakfast when visiting and were very pleased with the friendly service and fresh breakfast plates. We had strawberry pancakes and the breakfast platter and both were filling and delicious. The only disappointment is that I forgot to take pictures of our plates!“
“Great sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a toasted English muffin. The sandwich normally comes with scrambled eggs, but I ordered mine with a fried egg over medium. The partially runny yolk added nice moisture and taste to the sandwich. The coffee was definitely better than you find at most diners. This was my first time eating here, but I'll be back to try other items from their menu. They are located just east of Westvale Plaza on Charles Ave.“
“I have been here a few times, but never left a review. I wanted to see how their establishment was over time instead of just one visit. The wait staff are very kind and personable. I have always enjoyed every meal I had there. My fiance has an severe onion allergy, and they go out of their way to make sure she is safe. The prices are fantastic considering the portion sizes...you won't go home hungry. And yes...they really are the best pancakes in the world, so try them. You can thank me later. There is a special ingredient in the syrup and in the pancakes themselves. It's almost like eating a funnel cake at the fair.“
“It was a great, classic diner experience. When we arrived the parking lot was packed and assumed it would be a long wait, but we were pleasantly surprised that they had available seating. The staff were great and handled the volume of customers well. The food came out in a timely matter as well, and was reasonably priced. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in the neighborhood!“
“Always driving by never stopped. Stopped in for the first time today. The food was great( the #1 special). The staff was amazing( so friendly, like you were part of the family). This will be my new go to breakfast place. Wait let's not forget about how great the coffee was.“
