“I stopped by this place with family while we were walking on the canal. It's a very short detour from the Canal towpath, and has outdoor seating, which is great in the summer. Tons of options, and very fair pricing. I got a sandwich, my wife got a salad, and my son got the chicken fingers. Each item was delicious. We will definitely be back.“
“Fun friendly staff, eclectic people, and fair prices on drinks! Went once for a friend's birthday on a trivia night they host (I believe 7:30 on Tuesdays.) The trivia was provided through an app service, making it easy and accessible to most. The entire trivia contest took almost 2 hours with several short breaks throughout. I am pretty sure the top prize was a $50 gift card, but my team wasn't the winner so not positive. Overall a very enjoyable time, with a solid crowd without being elbow to elbow. Plan to start going more regularly.“
“Had a really fun visit to The Argyle last night to see my friend's band! The service was really on point and our bartender was so kind! The food came quickly, too. My quesadilla was huge and so delicious and I can't wait to finish it for lunch today! Would definitely go back to enjoy one of their many TVs for a football game with a good dinner ?“
“I am a legit basic Benny... nobody, and I don't really rock with saying nice things, bout random Joe's, but I'm g'won have to admit that sometimes I may possibly have a bad attitude. On the muscle peeps... Drew lil daddy dot com (bartender/host) and his colluege (bartender/host), Lexi were absolutely flawless during my interactions with them. I have to admit that I was kinda in a salty mood, but these 2 wonderful people made me feel way unsalty. They didn't just try to make me feel better. They were just basic Benny nice people. I enjoyed our conversations and their pleasant demeanor, including the manner in which they interacted with me. Keeping it a , they're really nice people. I suggest that you come see for yourself on a random Friday night. They are both extremely quality human beings. Drew (he/him) has an old school Orville Wright mustache, and Lexi (she/her) has the fleekest eyebrows in at least my hood. I'm bout that life, so I know bout fleek eyebrows. Please excuse me for any spelling or grammatical errors in this post“
“The Sheffield is a great place to have a great meal and terrific craft beer. The atmosphere is very relaxing. It's a perfect place to unwind and have a great conversation with the other patrons. If you want to come to a place with great food, drinks and relaxing ambience, The Sheffield definitely fits the bill.“
“The food - delicious, atmosphere fun, st. Patrick's day parade after party even better. Bar service was slow, but can you blame them for being busy, Nope. The live band was awesome. Will I go back there Absolutely.Parking: It can get full.“
“Had the opportunity to visit this establishment today. Can’t say enough about the good time i had, food was very good, everyone was very friendly and cordial. I have to give Wayne a perfect 10 for his hospitality and great service! Definitely recommend if you are in the area a great place to visit! Will be back again! Thank you!“
“Love it !!! Was introduced yo this place last year and I just had to come back: been under stress lately and I just out of the blue swung in interned to have 1 drink but ended up having a bunch and meeting new people. Definitely made my day.“
“Their plates and burgers are fantastic. And perhaps the best fries in the city. Be careful using the delivery services, sometimes it doesn't take. So give them a call, walk in because they're very friendly and helpful and you'll get a fantastic meal.“
“Never had a bad meal at Pub 235! As a family, many dishes have been tried. And it's noteworthy to mention that they the kids menu was just as carefully prepared for the kids as the adults. Sometimes that is not the case at restaurants.“
“Outstanding!Fantastic staff friendly and very attentive.Ordered an “off menu” item - it was prepared perfectly. Excellent to have a chef committed to quality and accurate food perpetration. The menu is above a typical pub menu. Great selections with modern flair. Owners were on staff and displayed dedication and heart. They were very receptive to feedback and eager to spread praise. Highly recommend the “off menu” Pub Club.“
“This is a tiny, cute bowling alley! After moving to Rochester, I feel like Radio Social was the place that was pushed as "the bowling place". We found this spot on a weekday evening. We called and were able to walk in and rent a lane. Prices are so reasonable here and there is a Happy Hour too with GREAT deals! Free shoes included in the rental. Everyone is very nice here.I will say, it is a TINY place so may fill up fast (only a few lanes available). There is street parking available. It checks all the boxes here and is a great casual place to go. I would definitely come back.“
“It was mid-afternoon on a weekday. The bar had a few people around it and only 4 of the tables were occupied. Service was instant and fun. Draft beer selection was adequate. The Ruben and Mac salad delicious. Burger and fries very good. Have never had a different experience in 5 or 6 visits. Usually stop there when we cruise down the Erie Canal in the summer.“
“Came from New Jersey for a 30th Surprise Birthday and The Rail did not disappoint! We were sat outside under the gazebo where food and drinks were served quickly as needed. There was a variety of appetizers including Wings, Fried Green Beans, Pretzel, and Mozz Sticks, which were all EXCELLENT; and a nice selection of yummy Beers to drink them down with. Jersey is tough competition for food and I actually considered ordering some Wings and Beans to take back for the road trip. Friendly Staff, Great Atmosphere, Excellent Food all wrapped up in a place I probably would've just driven by not even knowing ... Who knew?“
“Bar Person was friendly and professional and they have popcorn.Parking: Parking is behind the bar and there's a lot of room.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp on the side of the building that connects to the parking lot ? so it's easy to get inside.“
“In the last month I've been to two high end restaurants and ordered pizza from our local place. In all the Filling Station was the best! I'd go back in a heartbeat. The service was great, the bar knew how to pour a drink and I loved my burger. I'm so happy, we'll be “
“Visited twice. Sat in the bar area at a table once, and at the bar once. Great old time bar venue. Looks like a lot of regulars hang out at the bar. The burger was great. Cole slaw had no flavor and was watery. The bar stools are too high imo, felt like I was sitting in a high chair (height of stools didn't bother my bf). The restaurant section on the other side is too open and bright for my tastes. Apparently, ambience is realy important to me ?♀️ but ... gave it a 4/5 because the burger was really good and I like the cozy bar area, free popcorn, and the wait staff and bartenders are nice.“
“Magpie is extremely consistent in their service. Every day of the week, you’ll find the energy warm and welcoming.I’d like to highlight Ray, the bouncer, for being exceptionally nice and going above and beyond to keep everyone safe. Thank you for you, Ray!“
“How is this place not closer to a 5 star rating? The service was exceptional - all the ladies working at the bar were so personable, attentive and friendly. I order an espresso martini everywhere I go and this was definitely the best one I’ve ever had! Who would have thought? The building was built in the mid 1800’s and is very cozy, inviting and has a sense of nostalgia (even though this was the first time visiting). We all ordered varying dishes and everyone thought their food was delicious…not a trace of food left on any plate. Even my fries stayed hot and fresh for the duration of my meal. Great place, I wish I’d found it sooner.“
“Donnelly's is a classic Irish pub - friendly but low key, you can sit at the bar and chat or snag a table in the corner for privacy. The beer selection is excellent with a good rotation, and the food is also very good. This is my go-to place in Fairport!“
