“This place was amazing. We got the “jani” burger and lamb chops and also got to try the nihari sandwich. I loved the mint chutney that they added to the burger. Felt like I was getting authentic Pakistani flavor in a burger form - you definitely have to try this place!“
“At first glance, you would think this shop is just a wholesaler, but to my surprise you can actually buy boxes too!! They have a wide array/variety of sweets and all of them looked heavenyl. The gentleman whowas running the place is extremely professional and helpful. He allowed me to sample 4-5 pieces of the sweet itself. I ended up buying 4 small boxes and 2 big boxes. Toally affordable priced as well! My favorite was definitely the “Mango barfi” which is a milk based sweet. I finally have a place i can go to for all my sweet needs! Especially since it is Ramadan and sweets are necessary for every iftaar.“
“I’ve gotten take out form Tandoori Nights for the past year and it really hits the spot. So delicious. The chat is excellent and the tandoori chicken is always good never dry. The staff and owner and really nice which is the cherry on the top :)“
“Please DO NOT use Doordash as your delivery option. Twice I did not receive my order ( puri aloo) and the delivery person showed it as delivered.Ofcourse Doordash refunded my money. But it is very disappointing to keep waiting for your order to realize that you will never get it.“
“Great sweets. Everything was really fresh. We picked up some sweets for family and everyone loved how fresh it was. I want to go back and try other sweets and maybe some samosas and other menu items. They also let us try things too. Only issue we had was we went late and they ran out of some stuff but that’s expected late in the day I guess“
“We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Chaat Wala. The papri chaat and golgape were expertly prepared and delicious. Ingredients were fresh, presentation was excellent. We also had delicious chicken kebab and butter chicken. Our server Farhana was so kind, professional and attentive! We would love to keep in the know about your next endeavor!“
“Very quiet and attentive restaurant in the area. Tried their lamb shank which was delicious . My real concern was smell but to my surprise it didn’t have any funny smell to it. Overall great flavor and texture. Definitely coming back to try more of their dishes.“
“One of the best Indian restaurants in/around Nassau. I have no time to go to Jackson Highets, but this place accommodates our craving for good Indian foods. Samosa Chaat here is a gem. I can eat this forever. I also love their butter chicken and garlic naan. Service is super good. A young Indian man is always behind the counter to serve. He is very friendly and kind.“
“Food was really amazing here. Their naans were really well cooked and Puffy. Goat and chicken Karahis were very delicious. Chicken Bahari was very sizzling and tasty. I highly recommend this place. It's family friendly and service here is awesome.“
“Great prices, portions, and good food. Tried the chicken chapli kebab and samosa chaat which were really good. The samosa chaat was flavorful and the kebab was juicy. The chicken halim wasn't great, not enough spice and tasted like it was made from a packet and the rasmalai was too watery. All in all, food was mostly worth it and I would try out other menu items.“
“I am a traveller, was staying near JFK and wanted to eat indo Pak Dinner.Got a food Ubered to my hotel.Tried the goat curry, roti, chicken Biriyani and tandoori chicken leg.All the items were fresh and was tasty. GOAT curry and ROTI were my favorites as they were packed with Flavors, ROTI was soft.Great place to try desi food“
“The best Naans in terms of quality. Fish is good and steamed lamb or beef are their specialty. Place may not look like very upscale however the food is authentic Pakistani food as it could be.Vegetarian options: Parking in general is hard to find, however a bit easier on the weekends.“
“After craving Indian food one day, I looked for a place that was near me that I could go and buy food myself without traveling too far, I found this place, I’d say Kind of hidden. Thank you for google! I’ve been eating their chicken tikka masala, the garlic naan, halwa, and chicken biryani and if just hit my craving on spot! I’ve bought from them twice already and I know this will now be my go to place especially when I want rice meals. Pls support small businesses like these. They need us too.“
“While I've dined inside twice before and always enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful service, today I opted for take out and ordered ahead on-line. I was not disappointed. I received the same warm welcome when I arrived and actually received a text that said my food was ready a few minutes early. Great day for chicken vindaloo, delicious and spicy.Parking: As with any business in the area, on street parking is non-existent during mid-day business rush hours. There are spots for paid parking on the street, but you've got to circle to find them. There is a paid municipal parking lot up the hill at 30th Ave and 38th Street.“
“Best, delicious, authentic, homemade tasteI am a New Yorker & have tried the most famous, expensive restaurants all New York, I won’t say that the food was terrible everywhere. I always go for the taste n am on the lookout for old-fashioned, home style cooking places. This week was lucky as I found the restaurant I have been searching for few years. The name of this hidden gem isLahori Chilli on Coney Island Avenue. People who have visited this place they already know how amazing the food is. You must try mooli paratha & Alu paranthas. I felt I am visiting my family & they are cooking all these finger licking items. Also I tried rice pulao OMG i can’t describe in words how tasty that was with pistachios, raisins &Cashews. Also for breakfast I had chana bhatura, suji halwa. I haven’t tasted that chana in the most expensive places. Suji halwa so tast. Gajar halwa tasted exactlymy mother used to make. I am Punjabi & vegetarian so love Punjabi food. I yet haveto try more veggies like aloo gobi, palak paneer, sarson ka saag, bhindi.I highly recommend this restaurant for vegetarians & non vegetarians alike as my friend went there n loved the non vegetarianKebabs n curries. There are some nice booths to sit down n eat. Fresh onions n salad is served with an entree. I plan to go 2/3 times a week. Staff is very friendly,Courteous,Helpful,Well mannered. My sister who lives in Manhattan is planning to go to this place soon after hearing my singing praises of thisplace. Bottom line you gotta try for yourself!!! Enjoy?Vegetarian options: Chana bhatura, gobi Alu, saag Alu, bhindi masala, saag paneer“
“I’ve tried a lot of Indian restaurants but this is the best so far. The food is bursting with flavor and they give you a good amount. My favorite dishes so far are the chicken biryani, chicken tikka and garlic naan. The mango lassi is refreshing, cool and tasty. Even my 11 month old baby likes it. I can’t wait to try the other foods. The staff is kind as well.“
“I was searching the area and found this restaurant as it was the nearest one. I would like to start by saying that the paid parking is readily available. I had read great reviews about their Chicken Karahi and I wanted to give it a shot. I entered the restaurant and was greeted by an awesome server. I started looking through the menu and it was time for prayer and the nice server who was Hindu provided me with praying mat. It was a great gesture. Right after I finish praying, I placed the order for Gol Gappay, Papri Chaat, Fish Pakora, Fries, Lahori Chicken Karahi, Beef Nihari, Butter Naan, Cheese Naan, Mango Lassi and Sweet Lassi. I must say that their Chicken Karahi and Beef Nihari is definitely the best and you should try it. Everything tasted delicious as well. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The ambiance of the restaurant has only positive vibes. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are around the area.“
“Last night, I enjoyed a delightful culinary experience with friends at a fantastic restaurant. The Tandoori Chicken leg and Lamb chops we ordered as appetizers were absolutely amazing. For the main course, we relished a scrumptious 1lb Goat Korma paired with freshly made paratha. It's definitely the ultimate spot for an exceptional dining experience.“
“Food is really delicious..their bread too and yogurt "Airan" same as in our region..prices really good..Usually there is old man..I think the owner.he used to be there always. supervising..didn't see him for months..absenced..hope he is in good health..he is like symbols for this place..“
“I am SO grateful that this place remains open through many years. They call it chicken Tikka but what it is is a hefty kebab freshly grilled ground chicken with spices, served with naan bread, and spicy yogurt sauce, for five bucks. It's substantial, but more than that, indescribably delicious. They don't seem quite hindu or quite Muslim, I can't quite place it, but these hardworking Americans serve LaGuardia's taxi and limo drivers and anyone lucky enough to wander in.“
“I was staying nearby so I could catch an early morning flight, and a local recommended Star Light Grill to me.I'm incredibly glad they did. The server was friendly. The interior is unpretentious and utilitarian. But the food? The food is amazing. I had a spiced chicken dish with naan. The food was hot and fresh, the sauce was spicy and had a remarkable depth of flavors, and the meat was tender, juicy, and free from gristle.Don't be deceived by the exterior. This delightful hole-in-the-wall eatery packs a tremendous punch at a reasonable price.“
