“This place was absolutely great! I was with a big group of family in the US for the first time with varying levels of English proficiency. They were so accommodating and patient with all of us. I made sure to call ahead and let them know we were coming as such a large group, and they had a table ready with everything. Food was perfect, typical diner menu and came out quick! Definitely recommend.“
“Used to be my grab to go place when I was near St. Johns University. Fresh ingredients and in great quantity, as well as the large selection. But the best thing about this particular location is the employees that work there. They are very professional, fast, nice, and friendly. They respect your choices and do their best to fulfil them. Unlike some other Subway stores, these employees are dedicated to making your experience best so that you will be thrilled to comeback to a boring subway to grab a piece of healthy bite again.Would highly recommend them!“
“This is like any other subway you might visit throughout the country. You order your customized sandwich and itll come out good. However I do have two rather petty complaints. First off all, put of the 6 times ive went, twice has the customer service experience been slow. Secondly it is a small building which is being shared with another food place. Overall though they're pretty good, placed near my school which is a big plus and serves great sandwiches“
“This market is located in the same area as the subway, and is similar to a deli. The space itself is rather large, with aisles of snacks and dry food options. Their fridge hold an wide assortment of drinks from milk, sodas, teas, to alcoholic beverages. I enjoy their chip selection located all the way in the back and is one of my go to places to grab them. I frequent here often whenever I get my subways or pizza from the nearby shops and need a beverage. TIP: I remember they only took cash the last time I was here so keep cash on you. You wont need to much because everything is pretty cheap. They also have deli items such as cheeses that they sell as well.“
“The sandwiches ? ? are tasty ? as can be, I live in Harlem, I had to check ✔️ them out and it was worth the price and the drive over,,go get you 1,I bought 2,ooooh yeah!!!!Kid-friendliness: Can't go wrong ??Wheelchair accessibility: Yes , ground level“
“Feels like a tourist spot. $26 Ruben. $3 soda. The sandwich was awesome, you’ll just pay for it. Good spot for you to order online, pick up and go. Better to eat at a park near by, Not much room to eat inside. There’s a few tables out front. Trendy neighborhood, this place is not going anywhere. I would come back for sure.“
“Amazing breakfast sandwich. Chicken sausage was so good and flavorful, spicy mayo was perfect. Perfectly toasted brioche was the cherry on top. They have a full menu and specials like corn bread french toast and shrimp and grits, will try that next time. Cappuccino was really good. Few seats inside, handful of tables outside. Food was made to order and unexpectedly very quickly. We left and almost came back to get something to go for lunch. Staff went above and beyond to welcome us in... definitely recommend“
“I've been loving La Sandwicherie since their original food cart operation by McCarren Park. So glad they opened an official shop! The menu is well curated, all ingredients are quality, sandwiches are made to order and everything I’ve ever had here tastes fresh and delicious.“
“Don’t let the outside fool you, always walked past but the inside has a whole different atmosphere. It’s rather lovely and reminds me of France/Italy, fresh flowers and staff is amazing! Not to mention how amazing the food is! Some of the best food in Astoria, heaven for vegetarians. I’m not even vegetarian and the Charred broccoli panini is one of the best things and I’m not even vegetarian. Must try in Astoria“
“Navigating through the culinary journey at Flowers & Flour, I've found an enchanting blend of whimsical and traditional bakery experiences, albeit peppered with a touch of unpredictability regarding item availability. On a vibrant Saturday at 3pm, the bakery, although thoroughly sold out of their delectable goods, persisted in remaining open, exclusively offering drinks. A second venture on a more tranquil Monday afternoon revealed a more generous offering of their array of baked items and a singular tuna sandwich amidst assorted gimbaps in various flavors - burdock, tuna, spam, ham, and ham and cheese. The baked delights, from a buttery and moist strawberry jam scone to an indulgent spam gimbap, filled with danmuji, eggs, carrot, and artificial crab meat, proved to be a delightful indulgence. While mayo's presence was mentioned in other reviews, it was the sesame oil that notably graced my palate. The basque cheesecake, however, stole the culinary show with its soft, perfectly sweetened profile, and a delectably burnt exterior that cleverly sidestepped any overly charred flavor. Amidst the delightful savors, the seating area emerged as a vibrant haven, where older Korean adults gathered for warm, lively chats, weaving a tapestry of community and conviviality. The allure of their cake has solidified my resolve to secure a reservation to explore these tantalizing treats in the future. A noteworthy addition to my experiences was the prompt and helpful service. Encountering items labeled in Korean or presented in acronyms posed a minor hurdle, which was gracefully alleviated by the amiable staff, who kindly offered translations and explanations, enhancing the inclusive and welcoming ambiance. While the somewhat capricious availability of certain items does invite a need for flexibility in your visit, the splendidly executed confections, coupled with the heartening atmosphere and commendable service, render Flowers & Flour a destination worthy of repeat visits.“
