“The dessert here is yummy! The mochi taiyaki is a must get. So warm and chewy. The outside kinda reminds me of a croissant. The red bean filling was a surprise. We also got a match shaved ice. While it was shaved ice it was also very creamy when eaten. I would definitely come back for the mochi!“
“I found Java Day Cafe while out in Queens this past Monday. I had a few hours to kill in between meetings and was looking for a cafe to WFH. At the owners recommendation, I ordered The Frenchie, as well as two hash browns (hey don't judge, I was starvin marvin!). The Frenchie consisted of 2 pieces of delicious cinnamon french toast with sausage, egg and cheese nestled inside. I washed it down with a delicious large coffee with almond milk. I chose a table by the window, which had 2 outlets below, so I was able plug away on my laptop and enjoy my food, with no low battery stress. I ended up having three coffees during my stint there and lucky for me, their bathroom was super spacious and clean... love that! All in all, happy to have stumbled upon this awesome Flushing/Auburndale gem!“
“Navigating through the culinary journey at Flowers & Flour, I've found an enchanting blend of whimsical and traditional bakery experiences, albeit peppered with a touch of unpredictability regarding item availability. On a vibrant Saturday at 3pm, the bakery, although thoroughly sold out of their delectable goods, persisted in remaining open, exclusively offering drinks. A second venture on a more tranquil Monday afternoon revealed a more generous offering of their array of baked items and a singular tuna sandwich amidst assorted gimbaps in various flavors - burdock, tuna, spam, ham, and ham and cheese. The baked delights, from a buttery and moist strawberry jam scone to an indulgent spam gimbap, filled with danmuji, eggs, carrot, and artificial crab meat, proved to be a delightful indulgence. While mayo's presence was mentioned in other reviews, it was the sesame oil that notably graced my palate. The basque cheesecake, however, stole the culinary show with its soft, perfectly sweetened profile, and a delectably burnt exterior that cleverly sidestepped any overly charred flavor. Amidst the delightful savors, the seating area emerged as a vibrant haven, where older Korean adults gathered for warm, lively chats, weaving a tapestry of community and conviviality. The allure of their cake has solidified my resolve to secure a reservation to explore these tantalizing treats in the future. A noteworthy addition to my experiences was the prompt and helpful service. Encountering items labeled in Korean or presented in acronyms posed a minor hurdle, which was gracefully alleviated by the amiable staff, who kindly offered translations and explanations, enhancing the inclusive and welcoming ambiance. While the somewhat capricious availability of certain items does invite a need for flexibility in your visit, the splendidly executed confections, coupled with the heartening atmosphere and commendable service, render Flowers & Flour a destination worthy of repeat visits.“
“I was running errands and was glad I stopped to get a quick bite here! Menu is simple and diverse. Food is tasty and is good for on the go or to stay. There is seating inside and outside. Definitely coming here for lunch next time I’m in the neighborhood. Chicken panini was tasty, fries were crispy just how I like them. Generous portions. Staff was very nice and helpful.“
“Oasis Cafe is fantastic. I went with 2 groups of friends on friday nights and me and my friends had a great time. Average amount of selection for food but the deserts and coffee are what they're known for! Prices were fair . Your crazy if you go to oasis and don't order the desert. Alcohol is expensive as expected and the atmosphere is really well put together. Very flexible hours. The whole vibe of the place is great for all ages. If you like it active and lively come past 8pm on weekends. We will be back in the future!“
“The rotisserie chicken here is so good. I order this all the time from uber eats and it’s consistently delicious. I love the green sauce that goes with the chicken. The fries here and mozzarella sticks are also really good. In the summer I like their shaved ice. The actual store itself isn’t really made for a nice sit down meal, but there’s casual seating outside and in a covered atrium. It’s a hidden neighborhood gem.“
“For the longest time I have been wanting to get to San Cafe. A few months ago, I finally made it a point to go and I must say it's a hidden gem for all bakery aficionados. The variety of treats offered is truly impressive. Everything that I have tried is beyond delicious. From fruit tart, polish donuts, poppyseed roll to wafers. The coffee is great as well. What I love is that the items are not overly sweet so you really taste all of the other quality ingredients. Each item is a masterpiece, showcasing the skill and passion of the baker whom also happens to be a nice guy. I now go in weekly to pick up some items as I have become addicted. Do yourself a favor and grab a cup of coffee and any of the baked items. It will make you happy!“
“Yeah, the place is small but comfortable. The staff are Family oriented and are the most delightful people you can meet. Their food is absolutely Fantastic if you want authentic Spanish food, consistently flavorful with 'old school ingredients. Dont take my review for this, just try it for yourself. Good af.“
“Cypress Inn is cozy and welcoming, and the food is amazing, personally I enjoy getting the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Their coffee is amazing and I love to stop by every morning before work. They make you feel right at home and really makes you appreciate a good atmosphere. I love Cypress Inn!“
