“Wife and I flew into JFK late one Friday. We were famished , it was 1030 by the time we got to Arthur Ave.. We parked and walked , came upon people eating alfresco. We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. In no time we had a bottle of Vino Tinto in front of us and people were making us try food they were dining on. I felt like I was at my friends ,' THE PIAZZAS " house. The food was excellent and the people better. Can not wait to go back !“

The pork dumplings were decent, but we've had better. The Oyster Mushrooms, although tasty, were a bit heavy on the batter.Drinks : The Suntory beer was refreshing, but the Paradise Lost stole the show - a tropical explosion that balanced sweet, smoky, and spicy notes perfectly. “Had an early dinner @ Vega on Cinco de Mayo and what a nice experience it was! The food hands down was delicious!! Fresh and delivered hot to the table. The servers were on the hustle to please and were very friendly and smiled!! Our waiter Collette ( I hope I spelled it correctly!) Was professional, genuinely friendly, smiled all the time and checked in with us appropriately ( not too much, just right). The vibe was artsy and cultural, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. “We had a memorable evening at Ruby's where we were greeted warmly by John and seated in a cozy and relaxing bar/ dining room. The tapas selection was terrific, making it hard to decide what delights to choose from! I was not disappointed with my selections of empanadas, burata salad, stuffed mushrooms & calamari. The Dylan for dessert was masterfully presented as well. We will definitely be back!“

“We were a bit early for a dinner reservation so stopped in for a wine. Love this place!! The owner was so friendly and wine selection was great. They have a good selection of wine and we did a flight of four wines. Next time well probably eat here too!“

“The ambiance of Raconteur was just perfect. For that brief 1.5hr dinner, I was transported to a cozy, warm and inviting place. The service was excellent (I even shared our server that her aura was glowing). Since we were doing vegetarian that night, we had the spicy shrooms (flavorful, but a little too chewy for me). Then we tried 2 other entrees that I cant remember the names but the taste was unforgettable, one had had honey on it and the other arugula- the bread, folks will make you rethink Keto- reminds me of home made bread. There were fish & meat entrees as well. Go for the vibe, and be transported and renewed. So glad I found this little gem.“

“I had one of the greatest dining experiences at this restaurant a few weeks ago. Everything I expected from a great restaurant was available here. We were greeted at the door. Decided to sit at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and professional. The menu had a ton of options. We decided to go with the mussels and skirt steak. Just amazing. Mussels with fresh and steak was cooked exactly how we ordered. The bread was so delicious we ordered twice - slightly toasted and warm and soft on the inside, perfect for dipping with broth. Sangria is perfect and very refreshing. This is the type of place I will be returning to very soon!“

“My boyfriend loves red snapper so I am consistently seeking places that serve it - on the bone where possible. We just so happened to be in the area when I found it on the menu. Went once and now regularly drive an hour just to come here for the red snapper and Pollo al ajillo which is my favorite (huge garlic fan). I want to explore other items on the menu but I can't because I absolutely love that dish. The happy hour during the week is also fantastic, he drives and I indulge in mojitos, which is a huge win for me. The happy hour apps are great too! We've tried them all.“

“We went for the Flamenco show and received a call that we should change our reservation to earlier so we were eating during the show. Great advice! Our server was not the best, but the food and the show made that a minor issue. It was a Prix Fixe dinner, but had a wide range of selections for Appetizers, Entree and Dessert. The food was delicious. The bright & lemony seafood salad with avocado and Veal Madrid were perfection. The Flamenco show was amazing. The performers were true professionals and engaged the audience. We left very happy!“

“We went here to celebrate my partners birthday and we were not disappointed!We regularly talk about Raku Izakaya as an awesome place for a good time, so we knew what we were getting into.The staff were friendly, and didn't mind seating us before our reservation time, which was awesome because we didn't love the idea of standing around for 15 minutes.We were sat in a more private, larger table in the back that had comfortable bench seating.I was designated driver, but the rest of the table really enjoyed their Sake and beer.A few of us got entrees, but the rest ordered the small plates and just kept them coming. The small plates are definitely where Raku Izakaya shines. They have a lot of delicious options.All around, amazing night!Vegetarian options: Not that dishes are clearly labeled as vegetarian, but if you eat fish, you won't be wanting for other options- they have a large selection of seafood.“

“One of the best Ramen Bars I’ve ever been to. The flavors across the menu are unreal. The Spicy Miso Ramen w/ Pork Belly in particular was one of the best soup broths I’ve ever tasted. The service staff could not have been more friendly and courteous. The quaint setting and atmosphere lend themselves to almost feel like sitting at one big family style dinner table.“
