“After visiting Olana State Historic Site a group of six went to El Sabor for a late lunch. It was our first time there. We looked it up on Google Maps but didn’t know anything else about it. It’s a very casual place. A bunch of tables for four people and a counter where you go to get takeout. We pulled a table away from the wall so all six would fit at the table. If there were more free tables we would have pulled two tables together to give us more room for everything we ordered.There was a regular menu and a menu for the specials. Both have lots of items on it. Three people ordered Enchiladas Oaxaca which were four fried tortillas filled with chicken and also came with a choice of a side of Steak or Pork. Our friends ordered Steak which was one large thinly cut piece of steak. It also came with rice and beans. My wife and I shared The veggie tacos and the red cecina which was marinated pork. Also ordered was a Burrito filled with rice beans and she chose chicken which came with two sauces. For the table we ordered the Huaraches with chorizo meal as an appetizer.Most enjoyed their meals. My wife and I loved our meal. It’s not tex-mex which some people expect when going to a Mexican restaurant. It’s traditional Oaxacan food. We debated if I should give it a 4 or 5 star and concluded it’s exactly what it says it is and the food was delicious but might not be to everyone's taste.Parking: Side streets are easier to find parkingKid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere for kids“

“We went for a late Valentine’s dinner. We had the passed the place a few times saying we have to try it someday so we did. I suggest making a reservation because they fill up quickly at dinner time. The food was great and fresh with no disappointments. It’s not a shirt and tie place but slightly dated and comfortable. The pitcher option for margaritas is a great option. The staff was busy but helpful and attentive. Will go again and again.“

“Not sure I ever had a better salsa verde even on and over the Texas/Mexican border (where my niece lives!)! The chicken burrito was massive but I couldn’t help myself to finish. Homemade chips and phenomenal salsa (what I *thought* would be the highlight) started the meal. Mexican sodas, Pellegrino and other sodas avail as well as special hot drink I wish I tried. “THE HIDDEN GEM FOR AUTHENTIC SOUTH AMERICAN FOOD HAS BEEN FOUND!! I feel so blessed that my friend noticed this little blk bldg modesty nestled between a 3 way intersection. We stopped in and was blown away by the flavor and taste of everything we ate. That Migadas had me DANCING on camera as i ate it. That's the highest compliment my foodie self can give you. Your food makes me dance? I'm a regular from now on. Cant wait to try everything on the menu.“
