So when they try to sell me croissant for $5/ $6/ $7 here in New York, well, I tell them that’s an absurd price and I turn around and I walk out.Hakan sells these excellently executed croissants for $2.50/ each. Everything was as it properly should be: not dry or bread-like as is often the case here in the US; nice and properly buttery as it’s supposed to be; flaky on outside and doughy on inside as it’s supposed to be. “Found this spot while scrolling Tik Tok. Me and my sister decided to give it a try. My sister had a wrap and I had the vegan chop cheese. Both of our orders came with a salad. The salad was sooo fresh and delicious. We think they grow and use their own veggies in their dishes! Which is amazing. The chop cheese was sooooo freaking good. We ate our food while parked in-front of their restaurant. I ordered a plate for my dad because it was that good, healthy & filling. We ordered the chlorophyll water, it was bland. We didn’t like it much. Both of our dishes & drinks totaled to about $41.00. The chop cheese alone with tax was about $14.16.They do have outdoor seating. “I've been to Vela Juice Bar twice already. I like how it's a little corner shop with a myriad of smoothie options, as well as bubble tea options. The first time I went in, I ordered a berry and banana smoothie, which was so delicious. As I was waiting, the woman behind the counter, gave me a small sample of another type of smoothie. I thought that was very sweet of her. And because that sample tasted so good, the next time I went in, I ordered that sample. This is a great smoothie and bubble tea spot for all!“

We came a little early because I thought they opened at 10 but then I realized today is Sunday and they open an hour later so we went into Marshalls to kill time. Me and my husband both got juice. Usually when I have fresh juice at another place, most times they are not served cold and refreshing, and this place I had it cold and refreshing how I love it. “I ordered a chai latte on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It was perfect flavor, sweetness and temperature. I got it with almond milk. I brought in a bagel from another place. However, I saw that they also sell bagels and I heard people ordering an egg sandwich as well as other items, I also noticed they have healthy shakes as well. Since I live nearby I got a punchcard and I hope to visit soon. I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty positive that it's Latin owned possibly female owned as well. There's not too much seating, I believe there's three tables of two inside and two tables outside. Luckily, not too many people stay for long periods of time I was able to stay for two hours, talking to my friend with no problem.“

“Was at the doctor's and wanting to try something new, stumbled onto Chick N' Baos on UberEATS and decided to check it out for pickup. They were doing Bogo offers which was really cool because I got to share some items with my husband and just doubled up on others. We have actually been here several times since that first find because my husband craves the Mexican chicken wraps :) The only issue is it's not so close to where we live so we can't get anything like fries because they'd be soggy by the time we got home.We have tried the Wat the egg burger (with fried egg), guava lemonade, Thai bubble tea, fried chicken burger, and Mexican chicken wrap and some other things I cannot remember at the moment. I enjoyed the burgers as they felt very clean and I didn't feel bogged down after eating one. The only thing I didn't like is that the bottom bun would get sopped - not sure if it was the pickles? I think even toasted like it says it comes, the bread get soaked so I have to toast it up again before I eat. The Mexican chicken wraps were really good and simple - spicy mayo, lettuce and fried chicken strips which were so deliciously crunchy! The fried chicken burgers were also really good with that crisp that feels like a Popeye's chicken sandwich, but doesn't feel as greasy. The thai bubble tea wasn't for me, but the guava lemonade was nice.This place also looks family run and the family is so nice! “If you frequent JH (Jackson Heights) you'll notice there are lots of food carts and juice stations around. If you have one to pick go to this one. When I lived in Jackson Heights this was my daily stop for juices either in the morning or before the gym. The guys who create the juice mixes are so friendly and so helpful. It's like they always know what I need to either way up, feel better from a cold or boost me up! I suggest the orange ginger carrot juice.“
