“Have been meaning to try this place since moving to the area, made the move tonight, and happy to report it did not disappoint! Chicken gyro was delicious, the man behind the counter was nice and very thankful for the business. It's tough to find a quick spot to get to after 7p with a city office commute back in my life, this will easily make it into my rotation. Will note pricing on here is definitely outdated, but it's not bad at all and definitely worth trying!“
“Went to Blue Waters on a Saturday night. Definitely suggest making a reservation which we had because it is tight but cozy. Food was delicious. We had the Greek salad, branzino and salmon. baklava for dessert. Drinks were yummy too! Only negative was music a little too loud.“
“Incredibly homey service and atmosphere!! Everything was delicious and very fresh. The dips and platters were absolutely unforgettable, vibrant flavors and amazing balance in taste — not a single complaint first time going! (those lemon potatoes are nothing less than mind blowing) Everything tasted completely authentic and don’t skip on the Greek hot coffee, made over sand and very rich tasting. The deserts also were an extremely satisfying end to a meal, being very rich and delectable. Service was wonderful, giving all customers a friendly and comforting welcome, making everything feel natural and inviting.“
“I ordered food for a party to take out and got excellent advice about amounts. Not too much, but plenty. And it was so good! I ordered lamb gyro, chicken souvlaki, spanakopita, grilled vegetables, falafel, lemon potatoes, and a tray of Greek salad. Everyone was so happy with the food. And the staff are so nice, and go above and beyond. This is my new favorite Greek spot. It should be yours too.Vegetarian options: I think a vegetarian would be happy here.Dietary restrictions: My party had vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, and food allergies. Everything was separated as I asked.Parking: There’s 4-6 spots behind the restaurant and you can also park on the street.“
“This is my first time going to RoRo gyro. I ordered the RoRo hero with everything on it. It was so delicious. Also, the hero was put together by someone who cares about what they're doing, not slapped together by someone taking their anger out on it. I highly recommend this place! PS: I didn't go inside so idk anything about the atmosphere.“
“Honestly super duper impressed with the quality of food & service we received. At work we will have a catered lunch maybe once a month and it is not easy to coordinate & get great food for an office of 50+ people. But they really got it right! Food came hot, on time, and they very generously provided serving utensils, plates & cutlery. I heard they even called to make sure everything was good which I think is the first of all the resturaunts we had catered. Food: we got the greek salad, rice, lemon potatoes, chicken souvlaki, gyro, falafel, tzatziki & falafel. Everything was super fresh & delish. -- salad had big chunks of feta & some grape leaves. I do wish the salad dressing had more acid(?) because the meal was a bit heavier but overall super fresh!! -- rice to me was a little soggy but some coworkers said they liked the rice and it was super fluffy for them so i think its more about personal prefernce. -- lemon potatoes has a great lemon flavor and was not overcooked. Lemon potatoes are one of my favorite things and this definitely made the list of some of the best. -- chicken came in big chonks and was a pretty moist; and considering i took one of the top pieces from the giant tray for 50 people and it was better than i expected. Only thing is that it felt a little bland? Bit it had great sear and was plentiful! -- gyro was not too salty which is a huge deciding factor me if a greek place is good! It was NOT undercooked in any way but i personally like the burnt bits so i took some leftovers home and airfried it and it was amaaazing. -- falafel was much bigger than i expected - like a golfball? Maybe bigger? Outside was crunchy and the inside still moist and was probs the best falafel i had in monthss. I personally prefer falafel thats not as coarse but again thats a personal prefernce and did not stop me from having a bunch. -- the tzatziki was thiccc like hard to scoop thick. It was honestly amazing! We got some extra lemons so i did thin mine out a bit and i think that helped add a lot of brightness to the meal. Overall- definitely think it will be made part of the rotation and I will definitely consider ordering on my own for lunch to try some of their other menu items“
“Great food! Excellent service! My husband and I felt like we were visiting dear family and friends. We wanted to try everything on the menu; so we order too many things. Everything we ordered was satisfyingly tasty . Thanks Jack for treating us like family and taking good care of us!“
“Amazing place. Definitely a Greek touch, even to the Italian dishes. Their avgolemono soup is amazing. Pizza is excellent, too. Ingredients are fresh. Staff is lovely and the service/ambiance are very welcoming and quick paced. Would recommend to anyone.“
“Wow I’m so excited that I found out Spartans reopened for breakfast ?, I brought my kids to breakfast and I don’t regret it . They have Belgium waffles my favorite ? ❤️? . I love their coffee it’s so good. My daughter loved their fresh muffins which are to die for. This is going to be the spot from now on for breakfast ???. Great customer service gentlemen in front was nice and respectful food was delish and prices were great ?“
“No nonsense Greek food mostly for takeout although there are a few tables to eat in. The chicken souvlaki is good but the homemade chicken gyro is even better. They don't always have it available though. Reasonably priced and they usually prepare orders quickly. Always a good choice for Greek in Merrick or nearby towns.“
“I had to take my cat to the vet in the area and stopped by Greek Xpress twice and the blonde woman with glasses who works there or maybe owns the place is so kind and caring and provides great service. I also love all the gluten free options.“
“Been going here since i was alittle baby . Their traditional food is amazing and must try. They have my favorite desert ever there called galatoubodiko. Its like a thick flan with philo dough and hkney and cinnamon syrupt on it. My.other favorites are aphadite greek salad, spinakopita and avolemeno soup.“
“Really good whole, fresh fish!! I always get the whole branzino and it is soo delicious. My husband gets the flounder or lamb shanks and loves both. Just had Red Snapper Santorini and it was great. All meals are served with a family style Greek Salad and Pita Bread.“
“Ever since I found this place, its the ONLY place around work I’ll go to for lunch. I once had something pop up immediately after picking up my greek salad there, and only had a chance to eat 7 hours later, after it had turned into a soggy mess. You know what: IT STILL BANGED! Deeply loyal, 10/10, two thumbs up, enthusiastically recommend“
“The food here is very good. We started out with the spread sampler - roasted eggplant with garlic, parsley & extra virgin olive oil, spicy whipped feta cheese with roasted red peppers, garlic & Potato puree with extra virgin olive oil & citrus and greek Yogurt With Garlic, cucumber & extra virgin olive oil. All four spreads were delicious. We split two small plate dishes; slow cooked Lamb Spare ribs, herbs & lamb jus served with tzatziki and fresh spinach with Imported Feta & dill wrapped in baked crispy filo dough. All was delicious. The service was great. The restaurant was very nice. I would definitely recommend this Greek restaurant.“
“The food was delicious. You have to try the falafel. The salmon as always exquisite. The atmosphere is good, but apparently they receive more orders for delivery than for eating in. Given that, I understand that they do not have the correct utensils for when customers come to eat at the premises since most of their orders are for takeout. Although it may be different in summer, I went in winter. very good service, I would return to this place. 10/10Vegetarian options: HOMEMADE HUMMUS. BABA GHANOUSH. SPICY ROASTED PEPPER & FETA DIP. DIP ASSORTMENT (PIKILIA). STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES V. FALAFEL VG .SPINACH PIE. ZUCCHINI FRIES. MOZZARELLA STICKS (6) HALLOUMI CHEESE. And more salads and seafood options.“
“My husband, and I, requested a food delivery. The salmon was scrumptious, grilled to perfection, and it was surrounded by a bountiful, yummy, Greek salad, with a bed of pita bread, underneath it.The rice dish, with pieces of carrots, was very tasty. The falafel sandwich is always satisfying.Nestor, the owner, is consistently accommodating, and pleasant. He is the epitome of professionalism, and pleasantness, eager to please the patron.I recommend this restaurant, for its wonderful dishes.“
“Visited Long Island and stumbled upon B Greek while hunting for a decent Mediterranean spot. The Greek quesadilla turned out to be quite the treat, and the chicken souvlaki was just brilliant with the tzatziki on the side. The spanakopita didn't hit the mark for me, but can't win 'em all. Service was on the ball, quick and easy, with no fuss finding a spot to sit. If you're into Greek flavors, this place is worth checking out.“
“A favorite local Greek eatery. Great portions. Reliable quality. Clean place. From gyro to plates, side salad and soup, everything has flavor and isnt skimpy.Tender chicken kebab, delicious salad dressing with real olive (not some lame oil and vinegar).Lunch menu is a great offering that gives you options for multiple flavors to sample. Recommended.“
“For a takeout place, Avli serves some pretty good gyro, souvlaki and falafel sandwiches on pita. I now live in Ft Myers and believe me I've searched high and low for a place like this and I'm still looking. The falafel is especially good, very filling and tasty. Maybe $12 is a bit steep but this is 2023 and everything is expensive now. I'll head back here again, and probably again, before I head back down south“
“I ordered a specialty chicken pizza, a steak and shrimp gyro and zeppoles...honestly the pizza and gyros were delicious but i had been craving zeppole and they were horrible. My jaw hurt trying to chew them, they were so hard probably refried and not fresh. Sadly ordered 2 orders and had to throw both out ?“
“Great burgers and service is smooth and fast, personnel is great, we picked up our order and it was ready by the time they said it would be ready . Cooked to perfection! If you’re going in business hours be aware you have to put a quarter on the meters to park near .“
“Really delicious food here. Very fast delivery, I was actually shocked when the man rang the bell because I felt like I just hung up the phone giving them my order. I got the gyro platter and it was yummy. I wasn't crazy for their white sauce for some reason and I didn't love the peas in the rice but over all it was a great meal“
“My husband, and I, had food delivered, from this superb restaurant. The large Greek salad, which we shared, was very fresh, and delicious. It had grape leaves, chopped Romaine, cucumbers, lots of large chunks of feta cheese, red onions, and tomatoes. We had two protein add-ons, falafel balls, and salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection, juicy, and a delight to eat.The falafel balls were the best that I have ever had.In fact, whenever we order this restaurant’s falafel sandwiches, the falafels are mouth-watering good, and the sandwiches are chock full of lettuce, tomatoes, tahini, and hummus. The chef, and owner, take great pride in what is offered to the public. The restaurant aims to please, and it always, consistently succeeds. My husband and I are vegetarians, and we often order the lentil soup.It is a vegan broth of savory vegetables.Everything we have sampled from “ The Greek Cove”, in Long Beach, has been wonderful.Delivery is always on time, with Grubhub, or with Uber Eats.I have only praise for the high professionalism, of the owner, and the chef, and the quality of food, that is prepared, so well.“
