“I can’t say enough good things about this my first visit to Next Stop Vegan in celebrating a dear friend’s birthday. We made reservations for a party of 8 and had to adjust the time due to the inclement weather and was met with a Caribbean vibe of “no worries! We’ll see you when you get here?” kinda vibe. The layout is intimate and they make great use of the space. The menu is 1 page 2 sided which makes things less complicated ?? Moat meals are under $20 per person and worth every penny. So affordable. We ordered 8 different dishes to mix and taste and enjoyed them all! What a win. I’m already planning my return trip. Not salty, seasoned well, not oily with tons of great flavor. We had the mofonguitos, el plato, Yuka fries, guacamole & chip, oyster mushroom sandwich, pigeon peas in coconut milk with rice, tofu and avocado, friend green plantain with black bean, avocado, greens and tomato to name a few.Now for the best part. The service! Top notch white glove treatment like you are the only party there. We had 2-3 different servers throughout the evening and each one without exception was outstanding! Thank you for making our celebration oh so special and we can’t wait to experience the awesomeness that is Next Stop Vegan again! You guys rock!Unfortunately no street parking to speak of BUT there are 3 parking garages on the same block so you’ve got options.“

All were generous and delicious. Also ordered their Malecon cocktail, diet soda, and finished off with an authentic Tres Leches dessert. We were so full and we still had lots of food to take home. We actually over-ordered. Service was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. Ambiance is cozy and contemporary. “The place is pretty small, more of a takeout style since there are only 2 stools alongside the narrow counter. I ordered the traditional chimi chimi minus the mayonnaise since I just hate mayonnaise. The sandwich comes with the beef patty, pan de agua, green tomatoes, and white cabbage, and the sauce is a mix of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and hot sauce. I got the homemade tamarind juice to drink. The chimi was pretty good, I loved that they really kept it traditional with the green tomatoes and white cabbage. The sauce mixture was very good. The meat itself was a bit dry and lacked flavor so you definitely need the sauce to up the flavor. The tamarind juice was absolutely delicious and tasted, just like how they make it in DR. The fried cheese balls were just ok. We also ordered the beef empanadas, which were probably my favorite item along with the delicious green sauce. The service was great. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and want to eat chimis.“

A delivery of food from one of the restaurant's vendors was coming in while I was standing at the counter to order, and I had to keep moving out of the guy's way as he went in and out of the store with the hand truck. “Place is small and there is never really any parking - so that's the reason for less than 5 starts on atmosphere and overall. But their food is truly delicious and authentic. Simple, basic, fresh and tasty. If you want good chicharron or mangu, this is one of the best places.Parking: Very difficult. Most of the time I park in their loading zone and just pickup.“

“Saw the restaurant on YouTube and decided to go. Not sure what I got. But it was amazing. The beans were excellent, full of flavor and not over powering. The pork was nice and tender, used a plastic knife to cut easily. The place itself is honestly a questionable place, hole in the wall place. However the chef Anita and the server (seen on YouTube) were amazing. $20 for two people. Salad (not pictures) was also included“

“I am giving 5 stars because the food was delicious although for the price $15.95 for a 1 meat plate the amount that is given is not worth it. It comes in a 3 section divided plate. I ordered the Pernil with white rice and red beans. The amount of Pernil was disappointing and the beans that came in a small container were mostly caldo (sauce) with very few beans, however, they were delicious. I wish there was more. There was lots of white rice which was very tasty and everything together was really very good and seasoned quite well. I also ordered cheese empanadas that were also very good. Not greasy and very crispy. I don’t know if I’d order again because the price with delivery, fees and tip is not worth it for the small amount given. Maybe if I’m in the neighborhood and drop in because the food is well made.“
