“I can’t say enough good things about this my first visit to Next Stop Vegan in celebrating a dear friend’s birthday.We made reservations for a party of 8 and had to adjust the time due to the inclement weather and was met with a Caribbean vibe of “no worries! We’ll see you when you get here?” kinda vibe.The layout is intimate and they make great use of the space. The menu is 1 page 2 sided which makes things less complicated ?? Moat meals are under $20 per person and worth every penny. So affordable.We ordered 8 different dishes to mix and taste and enjoyed them all! What a win. I’m already planning my return trip. Not salty, seasoned well, not oily with tons of great flavor. We had the mofonguitos, el plato, Yuka fries, guacamole & chip, oyster mushroom sandwich, pigeon peas in coconut milk with rice, tofu and avocado, friend green plantain with black bean, avocado, greens and tomato to name a few.Now for the best part. The service! Top notch white glove treatment like you are the only party there. We had 2-3 different servers throughout the evening and each one without exception was outstanding! “My goto place for the best roasted chicken in the area. Their motto - El Rey Del Pollo - King of the Roast Chicken. Also tried their other dishes today like the sautéed pork chops and the grouper fish fillet sautéed, with side dishes of red black beans, maduros, steamed vegetables, and yellow rice. All were generous and delicious. Also ordered their Malecon cocktail, diet soda, and finished off with an authentic Tres Leches dessert. We were so full and we still had lots of food to take home. “We staying next door at the Muse and I walked the 20 steps to Margon to get a cafe con leche and tostada cubana. I was blown away. As born and raised Miamian, I can honestly tell you that the best cafe con leche is found at Margon in Manhattan. Hands down. And the ambiance reminds me of the old-school cafeterias and bakeries my grandfather and dad would take me to as a little girl. “The place is pretty small, more of a takeout style since there are only 2 stools alongside the narrow counter. I ordered the traditional chimi chimi minus the mayonnaise since I just hate mayonnaise. The sandwich comes with the beef patty, pan de agua, green tomatoes, and white cabbage, and the sauce is a mix of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and hot sauce. I got the homemade tamarind juice to drink. The chimi was pretty good, I loved that they really kept it traditional with the green tomatoes and white cabbage. The sauce mixture was very good. The meat itself was a bit dry and lacked flavor so you definitely need the sauce to up the flavor. The tamarind juice was absolutely delicious and tasted, just like how they make it in DR. The fried cheese balls were just ok. We also ordered the beef empanadas, which were probably my favorite item along with the delicious green sauce. The service was great. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and want to eat chimis.“

“This is a classic Dominican spot in the LES. I’ve been here on multiple occasions and the food is always on point. I got me the El Dominicano Sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was good. I like how they had the maduros in the sandwich. The queso frito added that salty cheesy taste. Pickled onions added that pickly taste and the sauce topped it off. Great sandwich. “I returned last week to the rooftop brunch, there isn't much variety on the food menu, I don't like drinking the mimosa in the jars they give out ?, the atmosphere was pleasant and so was the attention of the waitress. Her name is Genesis.I loved. I was on the 2nd floor, although the air conditioning is not felt much, a group of 18 people paid 65 each for brunch. Good atmosphere, very varied music.“

A delivery of food from one of the restaurant's vendors was coming in while I was standing at the counter to order, and I had to keep moving out of the guy's way as he went in and out of the store with the hand truck.
