“Place looked clean and inviting. So ordered online for pickup. LG pizza 20 wings, tenders and fries and an order of fried dough. The timing of the order was off bc upon pickup it didn't seam like anyone knew where the pizza was, and then was told a few more mins. Ok np. Except when I got home the fries and tenders were definitely made quite a while ago and the fried dough was also cold. Pizza was scolding hot. Wings were not extra crispy but that could be explained by sitting in a half container of sauce (very oily) not horrible, not fantastic. Might try again someday if a special is worth while otherwise for the cost of going out these days, I'll probably stick to my proven places esp with the cost of wings being what they are still.Wish this business the best of luck and hope they get it together as they grow within the new location.“
“We decided to try this place out for my father in laws birthday since I saw a great review in the Gluten Free Facebook group. They really do have the best gluten free pizza and awesome service! There is just one or two tables to eat as it is mostly take out right now. Hope they will turn it into a restaurant in the future.“
“Had another fabulous dining experience at Joeys. We brought another couple to try out the restaurant. We sampled many appetizers including the oysters (MUST GET, trust me), calamari, antipasto, Italian greens, fried provolone bruschetta. The only time our table stopped chatting lol is because the appetizers were that good.Our dinners came properly after our apps. My party ordered off the main menu and the special menu entrees. Again everything delicious. Such big portions we all had to go containers.Just a great dining experience. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you.“

“GRADE A+! I got the Chicken Riggie dinner last night!! For a very reasonable $16, you got a HUGE portion of their outstanding chicken riggies, garden salad, and garlic bread!! That was damn tasty riggies! I also got a slice of cheese pizza...which was big, hot, and fresh! This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time, and was well worth the money! I couldn't even finish the riggies, because you get a huge portion...Much bigger than 95 percent of restaurants selling riggies!! “Recently moved to the area and stopped by this place on a whim. Upon entering was hit with this amazing smell. After enquiring of it's source we were directed to their sausage rolls. Grabbed a Sicilian sausage roll for my family and trust me when I say it was more than enough food to feed three of us for pretty cheap too!“

“It was the best of pizzas. It was the worst of pizzas. Two pizzas were ordered; a NY style large meatball and a plain upside down pie. The NY pie was not very good. The crust was so thin, there was no chew. All crisp and no chew. No layer between the crispy bottom and the wet, saucy side. Cracked and crumbled when folded. The ratio of crust to cheese to sauce was off. Baked on a screen. WAY too much gooey, non-snapping cheese. The outer crust had no chew to it and was too airy and light. Sauce was on point and meatballs were excellent. And, 16" isn't really a large in a REAL NY pizzeria. 18" is the NY standard. Then came the big save; the upside down or Utica pie. It was truly excellent. Probably pretty much the same ingredients as their NY style pizza, but WAY better in a different form. I ate it hot. I ate it at room temperature. Each bite was a flavorgasm. So, skip their NY style pie which is mediocre at best and order something memorable.“
“O'Scugnizzo's offers a pizza like no other. The pizza sauce is on top of the pizza and with cheese and other toppings underneath. Some call it upside down pizza, it should just be called "Great!" There is a reason this place has been open for over 100 years and is the second oldest pizzeria in the US.The chicken riggies are also another unique Utica regional food which is a must try. Restaurant service was very good and staff was friendly. Make sure to see the photos of the original owner of the restaurant from 1914. This place a must stop if you are visiting Utica.Parking: The restaurant has it's parking lot and it looks like you can park for free on the streets near it.“
“Even though we were really looking forward to our first visit to Tavolo - it was a little disappointing.The service was good (not great) and it’s a pleasant vibe - we sat outdoors - but the traffic along Genesee St takes away from the overall experience. My feeling is that at a higher end restaurant service should be near perfect and the food should be mind blowingly good, which was not the case on either count.We shared their Utica style greens (our server told us that they’re the inventor of that dish) and were super happy. Great flavor, nice spice and kick, as expected.Our meals weren’t as good as we would have hoped. I had their NY strip steak and it was grizzly, although flavored properly. My wife had their shrimp and salmon meal and while she said the shrimp was really good; she also thought the salmon was lacking overall.It could be we caught them on a bad night - it happens. But in the overall it was less than expected compared to what we had hoped for. Perhaps another visit will be better.“
“This joint was recommended to me by a co-worker, and I'm not disappointed. By far the best upside down pizza I've had in the Utica area. Only slight complaint with the thickness of the crust. “Placed an online order and when we got there a couple bigger groups / orders slammed them. We waited patiently (about 20 minutes past the estimated ready for pick up time. They were very apologetic and gave some coupons to make up for it. The manager and person boxing the orders were AMAZING!“
“I ordered take out here. The pizza was pretty good. The crust was good and the sauce is sweet tasting. They used a great amount of cheese on the pizzas. I personally prefer my wings to be saucier and more greasy/buttery but the meat quality was good.“

“Reliable go to for us. Reasonable prices, good food, service usually excellent.Nobody's perfect, our last visit, mushroom stew was the special & that was my reason for going. “Food was pretty good. The pizza and wings really hit the spot. Usually I like a thinner pizza, but I felt like something thicker, & from their pics the pizza looked perfect. I was right. It was exactly what I had in mind. Only complaint with the pizza is that the peppers seemed not so fresh, but that didn't really take away from the pizza at all (I will say I was suprised at how small the medium was). Even the crust was fantastic. The everything wings were pretty great as well, though the blue cheese in the sauce was practically nonexistent, which is one of my fav things about everything sauce! They followed special instructions no prob, food was out quick for being dinner time. I see lots of complaints about customer service, and I'll admit I haven't experienced any to judge one way or the other, but I can say the food was definitely up to par; and I have very high pizza standards ?“
“Love their pizza, they have the best tasting sausage of any pizza places locally. Meatballs are also delicious. Sausage roll worth the cost, very large. Greens & beans is usually very fresh & very tasty. I've had subs, as well. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is fish fry as it's frozen fish & not very good.. but overall this place has very good food.“

“We had a Christmas party catered by Big J's. The full trays of food were "FULL," hot and delicious. It was delivered on time and the staff were friendly on ordering and delivery. Great experience all around. We will definitely use them again.“
