“Love this place! I did not expect the burrata appetizer to be so good but it was simply delicious and I would definitely get it again. The steak was cooked perfectly as well as the pasta. Service is great and the place has a warm atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again!“
“So I stroll in to this place looking for the next great pizza find and BOOM! This place is a great throw back atmosphere! Counter and table seating. The service is excellent with a great attitude towards the customer. I had what they call Grandma's Pizza. I would say I would be hard pressed to find better pizza! Bar Stool would grade this in the high 7-8 range. I had to have a second then a THIRD slice! I did not want to leave! Great place, great, great slice!“
“Frank’s has done the catering now for three of my parties, and each time the food has been stellar. The quality of the dishes is exceptional and they are very affordably priced. Also everyone has been super helpful to me when I’ve been selecting my menu. Standout dishes (but everything has been great!!) Pulled pork, pork tenderloin, rice and beans, and chicken wings. All pastas have been wonderful! You can’t go wrong! Thank you Frank’s! You’re awesome!!“
“When have you ever heard of a pizzeria making an Amazing burger?? Tosi's burgers are HUGE and flavorful!! Nthats just the burgers..ALL of there dinners are ABSOLUTELY timeless..My person favorite is the stuffed shells n lasagna!! Heros are just as great!! N quick quick quick“
“We love Rosie's! The owners are just so warm and friendly. The food is always fresh and yummy. My wife loves the fried zucchini sticks and Meatball Sliders. I like everything at Rosie's. Go and enjoy an excellent meal in a classic pizza restaurant setting.“
“I was craving another order of "Meggie Cutlets" (chicken francaise), & Cesar of Capperi Restaurant pulled through w/ two pieces of chicken breast of a perfectly balanced flavor of egg, lemon butter, chicken broth, & parsley. It was paired wonderfully w/ angel hair pasta. Only complaint: no public restroom. Only suggestion: Italian sodas to compliment the cuisine!“
“Both my husband and I don’t get out much these days with two small children so when we finally had a date night we wanted to try il traverna. It was absolutely beautiful inside the food was wonderful the drinks were okay. I only say that because i definitely ordered the wrong drink. Next date night we would 100% go back and recommend it for anyone to try.“
“Naples has the BEST pizza and food hands down! The service is great too. I have never had anything but great tasting food from Touch of Naples and I’ve been going there since they opened. Try the salad pizza - it’s amazing! You can’t go wrong with anything you order here.“
“Excellent pizza and other very authentic Italian fare (the pepper stuffed with caponata was extraordinary) makes this no ordinary pizza joint, but a high quality restaurant. Loved the fennel and radicchio salad, too. And don't miss the fried artichokes! As a native of Rome, where artichokes are a big part of the local cuisine, these guys make w flawless version.“
“I really enjoyed my main course and the sangria. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. I will say the Cesar salad was delicious and so was the tortellini Alfredo. The flavor of the Alfredo sauce was quite delicious. We had some appetizers as well which were ok. We had the mozzarella sticks but they were overly cooked; almost burned. I did not like the bruschetta; the flavor of it was not very good. The garlic bread was ok but it did not have enough garlic. My sister ordered the bolognese and it was good as well. My niece had the chicken Parmesan but she did not like it. I thought it was ok but the noodles were a bit overcooked for me. The service was good; our waitress was nice. The food was good but I think there are other place which are better. I am not sure if I would be back. If you are in the area; I do think it would be worth a stop.“
“I haven’t ordered from TJs in a long time due to my food always being cold when delivered. It hurt because I loveee TJs (esp their cheesecakes, best in Poughkeepsie, better than pastry garden, argue with ya mutha) …. Anyway, I gave TJs another chance last night. Ordered wings (crispy), cheese fries, cheesecake and a large pie (well done)… it was prob one of the first times in a longgg time that my cheese fries didn’t need to be reheated. I put the food inside and chased my delivery driver to give him a bigger tip. I think I was so shocked I forgot to grab my soda from him ? His named was Mark, super nice guy awesome service… the kids and I were so happy. I don’t even write reviews!! If Marks not there I’ll just pick up my order from now on.“
“This is a beautiful restaurant located of the Fishkill/Wapoingers border. You feel like you are in NYC and the service is always terrific, the bread is fantastic and they have one of the best pizzas in the area. For salmon fans they are really great too. Actually everything they make there is delicious. Weeknights are generally not so busy so that's when we prefer to go. They have some nice desserts too, but the entrees are what keeps us coming back. We are excited to try their Sunday brunch too. Definitely give this place a try, it's rare these days to find an affordable, high quality restaurant on Route 9.“
“Traveling on business into Newburgh NY and found this gem on Yelp - had an amazing dinner. Our server - Ali - was knowledgeable and friendly with great service. The ambiance was old school Italy with food to match, ordered my Osso Bucco as a special item not on the menu - it was both perfect and a huge portion. If I ever come back to this area - I'll Cena'colo is a return spot for sure.“
“We thought we would miss our local deli when we moved up here from Brooklyn. Turns out we were moving closer to the greatest deli we have ever known. Unbelievable sandwiches and gf bread cannot be rivaled.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread“
“We went to Aroma to celebrate a family member's birthday. We had a large group and we made reservations ahead of time. We were seated right away when we got there in a private like room so it was nice to have the space. Our waitress was very kind and informative on what they had to offer. She was very attentive and helpful with recommendations as well. I ordered the farfalle dish with sundried tomatoes and a cream sauce and I added chicken to it. The flavor was delicious. Everyone at the table ordered different items and enjoyed what they had. I would go again.“
“Only took off 1 star because there's nothing on tap. Pizza is homemade from scratch in a proper pizza oven and DELICIOUS! Service is friendly and feels like home in the best of ways. Karaoke Thursday nights 7-10 PM, kind host and supportive, enthusiastic crowd!Parking: No spots in the small lot? Park next to the fence all along the block!“
“Found this place after some googling and the reviews seemed promising so we decided to give it a try. All of the food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the service was great. All of the staff we interacted with were wonderful.. bartender, waiters, bus boys and possibly an owner/manager were extremely nice. My toddler ended up spilling his water on the floor and even though it was embarrassing for us no one made us feel as if it were a problem or inconvenience. The ambiance was wonderful as it seemed like a place where they have a lot of regulars, so it felt homelike in the best way. We will definitely be back.. (with a spill proof sippy cup!)“
“I've lived in the area for 23 years. Pizza places have come and gone in that time without leaving an impression. Pizza and Stuff is honestly the best tasting pizza I've had in a while. I am outside their normal delivery range (have to order thru Doordash if I want delivery) but I will 1000% order from them once a week and pick it up on the way home. Their pizza tastes great and their staff are always friendly and welcoming. The storefront might be a bit small, but it's homey and comfortable. You can never go wrong ordering from these guys. I highly recommend them, even over much closer pizza parlors.Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate gluten free and veganWheelchair accessibility: Door is directly accessible from the street level“
“I’ve been to Cilantro twice. It has mixed reviews, but I’m not one to be scared off by those. The first time I had the enchiladas de mole poblano y pollo. I try mole often because I love chocolate and the idea of it in a sauce intrigues me. Cilantro’s mole is the best I’ve ever tasted with a richness and depth of flavor I haven’t had elsewhere. My husband had the chicken taco salad and was impressed as well. They did not skimp on the chicken and it didn’t taste like Cisco chicken. Last night I had the black bean and mango salad. It was good but I ate some of it with chips as it was sweet and their salsa is sweet too. House margs are $1.50 off during happy hour - bringing them to $8.50 at the time of this review. José was attentive and my meal came quickly last night.“
“I was trying to order a couple sandwiches from a deli, but the first deli I tried I had to call three times and they never picked up. I called this place and the guy picked right up. Order my sandwiches no problem, picked them up no problem. My tuna sub was delicious, would definitely order from here again.“
“The person taking my order on the phone was very calm, polite, and helpful. There are times you can call a place and be rushed and not understand the person clearly. This was not the case.We ordered the veal parmesan eggplant deluxe. Not the first time.My husband who is picky about veal likes their veal. Was very good. The salad with the house dressing was delicious.Broccoli with garlic and olive oil again very good.Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken my husband gave a thumbs up to. ( I shared my veal)Generous portions. The order was ready when we arrived.Again, it's nice to have customer service like this taking our order.Only thing they do not offer is Caesar dressing. But, their house dressing is very good! Also, the wedge of Italian bread that came with the meal was soft and also good! Everything was packed very nicely, too.Their parking lot is constantly full and there is obviously a reason!“
“I grew up with Jesse always in the deli on the corner. I moved out of NYC but every time I am back I MUST get a sandwich there! He makes the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, I can’t wait to get a sandwich every time I come back to NYC, most times before I even see my mother…..“
“May family has been enjoying Rossi’s Italian food for the last 30 years. They’ve only gotten better! We always enjoy the food and service, regardless of the location we visit.Just a side note; one reviewer commented on the service, here’s what I’d like to say: there are very few that can produce the volume that Rossi’s does during holiday and daily, especially with their sandwich’s. There aren’t many quality establishments that can pump out 475 orders between noon and 6:00 on a given day. Have a little patience, for those of us that go there all the time, it’s always worth it!!!??“
“This place is a diamond in the rough! I’ve been going to this plaza for years and it’s hard to believe I just realized recently that this place is awesome. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE CHICKEN & SHRIMP SALAD it’s really good! And the pizza is fire! This place reminds me of pizza places I used to do to as a kid in the city. Wraps and chicken tenders are awesome too!!! AND THEY DELIVER!Kid-friendliness: Brought my 4 kids, there was a handicapped man sitting near us the staff was really cool and accommodating for us and the other familyDietary restrictions: Good place to get really good protein packed salads that last a couple meals. Good for dieting the salads are amazing“
“Brothers is one of our favorites, has been for 24+ years. Food is always excellent, the wait staff and guys in the kitchen are always, always so friendly and greet you with a smile. All dishes are flavorful, the atmosphere is old world charm and it's close to home for us.“
“BLOWN AWAY! This is real Northern Italian cuisine: ample portions but not your Nonna saying "you're too skinny: mangia!" Pollo Di Anna & Pollo Di Leandra are not to be missed! Unfortunately the Vitello was a bit tough. Not certain if it's a sourcing issue or a prep issue. My wife said that she'll join the Pollo line next time. The house wines are great as is the service. Hop the river from Poughkeepsie and have a fantastic experience“
“Dive bar in Highland, NY. It's worth the visit for sure. Hospitality is great as the owner Sal came around and greeted us. The waitress was on point. We got the wings, and these were your old school wings, meaty and flavorful. Definitely not the pigeon wings you get from some places. So yea, Sals place is absolutely worth the whiskey ?“
“Verdict: Delicious southern Italian restaurant with generous portions, very professional wait staff in a beautiful atmosphere. Absolutely deserving of 5 star rating. Well worth your time and money. Details below. The food here is delicious. All of us ordered some sort of chicken dish; Picatta, Francais, and Sorrentino. I had the latter. It was in a delicious sauce, tender chicken, delicious eggplant, and prosciutto. The portions are large so we all had meals for two nights. They start you out with, I'm assuming, homemade bread. It's rolled with herbs and spices. I could make a meal out of just that with olive oil! It is served with fresh butter.Next is the salad. This was the 'low part' of the meal. The lettuce was all the same with very light green and crunchy leaves. I prefer more variety among lettuces and vegetables. Their house balsamic dressing was fine, but nothing special. As I said above all the entrees were excellent and all were served with pasta and salad. We also ordered two sides of broccoli rabe and spinach. I'm a huge fan of broccoli rabe and this was perhaps the best I've had anywhere. For dessert we had chocolate lava cake and lemon sorbet. I had the lemon sorbet. I prefer a much more lemony flavor than this sorbet had. The report on the chocolate lava cake was that it was fine but nothing special. The atmosphere is high end, but cozy. Very nice brick walls lined with bottles of wine. White tablecloths. Quiet and comfortable. This wouldn't be complete without a shout out to the wait staff. All very professional, well dressed and polite.“
“Cute little place for a good Italian meal. We had the shrimp fra diavlo and eggplant and veal parm dinners. Excellent!! It came with a salad. Good bread. Good service. Good prices. Attentive owner. Busy place but not loud. For sure to return soon. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. Definitely give it a try.“
“I don't live in the Poughkeepsie area anymore,, but I still think about this place. And it's the first thing that I look forward to when I come back.Wheelchair accessibility: It's easily accessible to handicapped people also.“
“Shout out to Milanese Italian RestaurantI went to meet family last night and I was seriously dreading the potential for me to make a bad choice while I am on a nutrition program.Soooooo many things that I would’ve loved to order, that would so not fit the program. But I was that person and asked for something special and they delivered - lots of flavor and I baaaarely stepped outside of my plan. OK I had a bite of my dad’s carbonara. ?Anyway, thank you for the great dinner dad, fam, and Milanese. We have been coming to this restaurant for at least *my* entire life, and love it!“
“Great quiet mid week spot. Friendly and attentive bartender. Prices are average for the area. Food was not really that great. Chicken tenders were overcooked. Wings were not crispy at all. A soggy wing is a no no... Overall a good experience and I will be back.“
“Hey, what can I say it’s a must stop when I want some good pizza I head Poughkeepsie to Emiliano’s! Slices are big cheese is full of flavor sauce is perfect and they always reheat it the right way! My personal favorite is the broccoli rabe ! It’s definitely one of my top 10 pizza places I’ve ever eaten out of 100s definitely stop in and try it five golden forks @travelingforkBigAng“
“Lets start of with their wings. It is so fresh and spicy and very very big! The pizza was better that some places in NYC and I was very impressed. They put the right amount of sauce and cheese on the their perfect dough. They cook the pizza right in front of you too! The service was really nice but, they made it quick and not too much socializing. The ambience reminds me in a hole on the wall place but, it was very clean. Definitely recommend!“
“Beautiful, rustic, cozy place! Service is ultra warm and professional. Food was excellent. Had the polpette and buratta ravioli. I must say I do not think it was stuffed w burrata as it tasted and appeared to be regular cheese filling but everything was delicious nonetheless! Olive oil w the bread was good! And the creme Brule cheesecake was awesome, not too sweet. Excellent experience all around. I'd give my server 10 stars if I could ✨️“
“Been here a good amount of times this year. Their clams casino pie is delicious. I've also been digging their calzones alot too latley. The family that owns it are very nice and friendly. It's a nice local buisness that I would recommend to everyone. Give them a try next time you are craving Pizza/Italian food !“
“Since their opening, Sapore has been a hidden gem of delicious, unfussy Italian inspired fare with excellent, personable service in a handsomely decorated, warm atmosphere. There's no reason to schlep to NY when you're craving dry aged steaks with Sapore in the heart of Fishkill.Kid-friendliness: They're friendly with kids“
“ABC is a great local place that we frequent every once in a while with friends for low-key, informal dinner. The service is always great and the food is well-portioned, made fresh and a good value for the price. The atmosphere is "dated pizza place/diner" but there is a separate dining room and plenty of tables and booths. Comfortable, clean but far from fancy. They serve beer and wine at a reasonable price too...so that's a plus! It doesn't look like much from the outside but you won't be disappointed once you go in!“
“Food: 4.75 Ambiance: 4 Service: 4 The pizza is amazing! Thin crust, crispy, great flavor. 5/5! My husband got the Sabrina sandwich which was off the hook.. Crispy fresh bread, thin chicken cutlets, pesto, balsamic.. *chef's kiss*. Where I went wrong was in ordering the Thai chichen salad. I knew better, but I was in the mood for some fresh greens. Well... The "salad" was 75% noodles and heavily covered in dressing. Stick with the Italian food here, as the name suggests, and you will be happy! The place looks gorgeous on the outside. In the inside, the decor is nice and sophisticated. Deceivingly to the outside, it's got more of a dressed up bar vibe than I expected. The service was friendly and did all things right, though they seemed a bit distracted. I never knew the makers of planet wings could make such great food! I'll definitely be back.“
“Myself & a good friend tried this great little spot for dinner tonight, OMG it was so good!!!We were greeted so nicely, the atmosphere was trendy yet comfy , and the food was delicious!Appetizer , entrees & desserts, nothing disappointing at all!Lola was our server , she was so sweet! We also met mom & dad , lovely family! We will definitely be back and I will be recommending to all my friends & family!“
