“Vins is a great mom and pop bakery owned by the same family that owned the best ever bakery. A few years back, the son vin took over and vamped it up a little.They offer some delicious cakes, pasties, and baked goods. The seven layer and mouse cakes are our favorite.They also have some great coffee at a nice price.They have monthly specials that feature certain cakes, loafs, and coffee.Everyone who works here is super nice and helpful.Overall, it's a nice wholesome bakery to try if you're in the area.“

“Excellent warm pretzels right out of the oven . The pretzels were delicious, spongy and had the perfect amount of salt on them. There were many complimentary dips to choose from and I went with the deli mustard. The mustard was perfect with just the right amount of horseradish. Will definitely return when in the area.“

“I walked in around 12 on Easter Sunday looking for a great cake to bring over my aunts house. I was looking for a place open that late and found a spot right near my house i never knew existed. I am so happy i found this bakery because the cake i purchased was outstanding! I will be coming back again for sure!! I was very impressed by how clean the bakery was and how kind the staff member was who helped me. I will be coming back!“

“Absolutely incredible! Everything is perfect from here! I would say the Linzers are top tier! The Linzers are just perfect surpringly light with great jelly. You would expect a lot of these desserts to be very heavy but they actually are not crazy. Everything is just flavored perfectly you would thing a brownie crammed with a rainbow cookie would be very rich surprisingly it was just right. They really hit it out of the park with everything. My only wish is that you could get smaller portions of the regular cookies I didn't feel like shelling oit $20 for a pound while I was already trying all this other stuff. Maybe a half pound option or make like an uncut brick of tricolor cookies.“

“Crumbl is a modern, house-made, pickup-and-delivery only, trendy cookie chain with a spot here in Long Island.There's a decent selection of cookies available, all made from scratch in the shop, which is pretty incredible. The space is mostly bakery, with very little space up front for ordering and picking up. They have a couple of self order kiosks, and a tv with the options and prices right above. There's also a little display of the cookies by the register so you can see what they'll look like. Unfortunately there's no seating available, and they'll kick you out if you try to squat on the window ledge. Otherwise the staff is friendly, double checking orders and having a good time.I went for the classic chocolate chip, which wasn't too sweet, nice and crispy on the outside, and super soft on the inside. Mine was a little underbaked in the middle, but I'm not sure if that's how they come or if mine was just underdone. I do typically like mine a little sweeter, but it was still pretty good.Overall, a solid spot that I'll definitely check out again sometime.“

“We ordered a custom biscoff cake for my daughters birthday. The communication was great; super understanding when we had to reschedule our order to a different day last minute so A+ for service. The cake itself was absolutely beautiful and it was so moist and flavorful. Every parent at the birthday party asked where we got the cake. This is our new go to spot!“

“The food was amazing, I got the Texas Hold ‘em but with grilled chicken and they did an amazing job. They cook the chicken/bacon right in front of your eyes, plus the food tastes incredibly fresh. I recommend getting one of their panini’s, they know what they are doing and most likely what they have on the menu is a really good idea.The place has a huge drink selection on the wall, a few shelves full of chips, and the menu is incredibly easy to read and it actually includes the ingredients which you don’t see anymore nowadays.The staff was super nice and took your order quickly, somehow the (I believe manager) remembered my order (Texas hold ‘em with grilled chicken) in just three visits.Sadly soon I’ll have to leave New York and won’t be able to eat here anytime soon, but I will remember this place.“

“I am so happy that they expanded their hours. I would always get to Babylon after work around 6 PM and they were always closed. I was happy to catch them. I was one of the last people to get their rainbow cookie Whoopie pie for the day. Definitely my favorite. So good! They should put two small, cute little tables in that alley, so that people can sit and eat their Whoopie pies because at the moment they really isn't an ambience. Overall, very unique and cool spot with delicious Whoopie pies!“

“Not a formal restaurant , but a great 'take out' place with authentic English pasties and pies .The owner/chef is english , and makes the food as properly crafted "across the pond" . True to form , they also sell 'biscuits and cakes' made there , also .The pizzas are an added treat , and are priced at less than $2.00/slice currently , and after 9:00 p.m. a slice is just $1.50 ! . “Really cool! Lots of options and is open super late. Went in at 9 pm and they had so many options even late at night. This is the only barley I know open until midnight or late. Got the chocolate dipped cheesecake, good quality cheesecake, I do wish the chocolate it was dipped became more of a shell but it was super good and rich.“

Me and some work colleagues accidentally walked a mile to the factory instead of the actual cookie store on accident. instead of turning us around the owner came out, gave us a tour of the factory and gave us cookies and a story about how they got started. “Brian designed our dream cake for our October Friday the 13th wedding. We went in with some ideas, bits and pieces from multiple photos and what was created blew our minds. Everyone was speechless when it came out. Aside from the delicious taste of the cake itself the details and time that was poured into it is one that we truly appreciate and love. “The best cakes I've ever had in my whole life! I have never ordered a cake blind. I ordered last Tuesday for my daughter's 14th birthday. I searched online for a cake shop near her birthday party location for a convenient pick up. The cupcakes were chocolate with strawberry frosting. I ordered a small heart cake as well. The cake is so fresh and TASTY! OMG! The cake was soft and moist. But the taste! Holy cow! The perfect chocolatey flavor. Not too sweet. It was perfect. I live 45 minutes EAST and I will travel here just for their cakes! So worth it!“

“If you like apples and anything made with apples you need to come to Jericho Cider Mill!It's not a huge store by any means and you have to park along 106 and walk with the traffic but it's well worth the visit once you're inside. Shelves and shelves of jams (including moonshine jam!), apple cider doughnuts, pies, cider, and other various goodies. Fairly priced and a fast moving line with a helpful staff. I always warm up their cider and it hits the spot each time. Not too sweet but also not too tart. The doughnuts are heaven and so fresh. I do need to try their jams next time I visit. Very much worth the impossible parking situation (wear boots) to get some apple goodness.“

“Let’s talk Hamentashen. Better yet let’s talk Classic Hamentashen; prune, mohn, apricot. Not so Easy to find these days and often awful, especially the super dry undercooked doughy bagel bakery or supermarket variety. I am pleased to report that Zuckers Hamentashen are superb! Crisp dough, slightly sugar glazed and melt in your mouth fillings. Get em FRESH in store at Plainview. You’ll thank me later.“

The old international cafe had a plethora of food, nothing that wow'd you BUT was consistently good even though they had a great variety. The freshly made waffles, variety of gelato and fresh whip cream needs no review. People who complain about noise should just stay home with their mask on. You are talking about an open place restaurant that is a staple of a community for decades. Why in 2024 are people so miserable to see others so happy. Place is jammed back...what do you expect it to sound like? People complaining about kids are the same $hit parents who rather hand their kid a iPad instead of letting them socialize. When we go there we expect it to be busy, loud, kids be kids, great food, great service and pay cash. With new owner ship comes many things and one them was the menu. We were thrown off since we were expecting our usual order. A lot of their items on the menu can be easily replicated at home. When we go out to eat we only order what we don't make for the most part. My wife ordered their Chicken Tenders which was made fresh as they were chicken cutlets cut down. I thought it was OK my wife was not happy bc the crispy bread outside came off the chicken itself. We also got wings and beer battered onion rings. Onion rings were great and wings are wings. We don't deep fry in the house for many reasons...we never ordered anything deep fried at the old spot either. Got their loaded potato skins which my wife enjoyed as well. Reviews about the new whip cream being OFF in taste is correct. Gelato tasted the same to us which was good. Price seemed fair for what we got compared to others places we have gone too. Best of luck to the new owners and staff. I honestly don't think we will be back bc happy wife happy life Our waitress was PHENOMENAL“

“Nice new location for Paris Baguette in Plainview Shopping Centre! Just what this area needed, another a pastry and cake shop as an option. Love PB cakes and pastries. Definitely spacious as one walks in to look and select pastries, cakes, sandwiches, drinks they wish to purchase and either dine in or take out. Cakes are nice and cream is light and not heavy. If you need a cake with writing, need to pre-order at least 2 days in advance for pickup. Mochi donuts are delicious and good to share, along with the pastries. They have seasonal specials and special promos for PB members who have signed up and use the app. PB reward members earn points with the app for every purchase so don't forget to scan. And if redeeming rewards, only one reward can be redeemed at a time.“

“This was my second visit to this adorable shop. The displays are always filled with delightful treats and an amazing variety. Last time, we sampled one of each of their macarons. Perfection. From the feet on the macarons to the light but flavorful fillings, we knew we had to return for more treats. This visit the macaron shelf was filled with small individual cakes. We could not resist. We tried the carrot cake and red velvet cakes and I opted for a black and white cookie as well. Service was fast and the ladies at this shop are very amicable. I appreciate and value good service and this location is top notch. The store is clean and they have a drink station also. We will most definitely be coming back again. I just have to try the spritz cookies. I would like to perhaps get an assortment to try one of each.“

“I live in Florida and was recently talking to my brother how you can’t get good crumb cake here. Entenmans is garbage and he told me about Brooklyn delight. I placed an order for four crumb cakes cakes and 12 muffins. Needed to try the crumb cake, Could not wait until the morning.I will say I’m New York City born and raised and have gotten great product from local bakeries for many years while living up there. This crumb cake is the very best I have ever had, haven’t tried the muffins yet but I’m hoping they be as good. Can’t get a good corn muffin down here so I’ll keeping my fingers crossed. “Came here for a quick lunch during my break. After moving to Long Island it is quite difficult to find a Spanish restaurant. I found this restaurant on google. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted. There are some people behind the counter that speak English but they speak mostly Spanish. I do speak Spanish, but it was good to know that there are other people that can speak English, because I wanted to share this restaurant with my colleagues at work and they do not speak Spanish. Everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful. I ordered the special of the day which was caldo de res (beef soup)- there is an option to order it "Complete" which comes with rice topped with beef stew, macaroni salad, and plantain. I got a Colombiana soda to go with it and it was perfect!!! it was nice, clean, bright inside and the bakery is to die for. I didn't get to take pictures of the empanadas and pan de queso I bought, but it's a MUST have. I would love to try their cakes next time, it looked so good!! they have a whole pastry/bread section. Definitely recommend this place“

“We made it back to Long Island after 6 years. So much has changed but not Cieslak's Modern Bakery. It has been our favorite for years and still is the best. Everything from their rolls, breads, cakes, donuts and other goodies are absolute delicious. All of their goods are super fresh and baked to perfection and the cakes are pretty as a picture. We had to put in an order for our return to Texas including our daughters favorites. We left with 3 boxes full of goodies. Crumb buns, raisin buns, and bear claws. We would've ordered more but there was no place to put it. Buttered rolls for our trip to the airport. One of our carry ons was our package from Cieslak's. Everything was fresh when we arrived in Texas and was demolished within 2 days. Thanks, Eileen and team! Cieslak's is a wonderful family owned business!“
