“The food was excellent, which was good considering we waited a long time to get served. Service as mention was not that great only because they took a long ti.e to take our order and to deliver the food. I think k it may have been that they forgot about us.Why because we were taken to the lower are of the restaurant. Upstairs was not that full when we arrived. But if more people came they may have taken care of them 1st since the kitchen is in the same level. But that is my assumption. All I know there was another family already seated and waiting and they got their good just about 30mins prior to us.Atmosphere seemed nice. Lower level had a dj booth which maybe is used either for special occasion or specific days.I would like to give this restaurant another try because as mentioned their food was great, staff were pleasant, only negative slow.Parking: Spacious and enough.Kid-friendliness: Yes“
“My mom absolutely loves their mondongo soup. The staff is also super friendly. The only downside is the location. The parking situation in this plaza is completely disappointing.Parking: Over packed lot because of the barbershop and beauty salon adjacent. Smells of pot smoke.“

“We stumbled across La Fonda Boricua Restaurant by accident while driving. Those are the kinds of accidents one would want to have. Wow!! Talk about delicious food. The mofongo and arroz con pollo were both rich and delicious. And the portion size could feed a family of four. The staff were friendly and attentive and saw to be our every need. “Generous portions, delicious food. I’ve tried different Puerto Rican eateries in Middletown area, Newburgh and Poughkeepsie and by far this is the best. Owner is so friendly. I had a problem with the order taken over the phone but the owner made sure the girl that took the order corrected it right away.“
