“I just finished 2 stressful months at school and a good friend took me out to celebrate my advancing forward in school. We danced and sang Latin music from 11 pm till 1:30. The Owner Carlos called to discuss his availabilities and mention that Tentempie Madrid is a traditional tapas with only small plates, NO MAIN COURSE and house wines and beer... Loved the call, perfect table for two at 7:30!My boyfriend and I were greeted by the Owners wife, and seated right away... She was just as lovely! What a great duo!! My boyfriend & I could be wrong BUT they seemed to be the only two running the magic over there... And they do it very very well!!!!! What a treat we were in for!!!FOOD: 5 STARS! We started off with drinks, we were unsure of which wine or beer to go with and Carlos's wife had no problems letting us taste them so we enjoyed what we ordered... LOVED THAT!!! There were so many choices... After we made our decision we put ourselves in the mindset to sit back relax & not RUSH.... Seems like (well i'll speak for myself as an American) we RUSH through everything... For food we did order the paella (made to order and takes about 55 minutes) again NO RUSHING, enjoy your wine, tapas in between, & your company.... Every dish we ordered, the flavors just took us right to Spain! We had the Jamon Iberico (order that!) the SHRIMP!!!! I'm still thinking about it, and every other dish!!!!!SERVICE: 5 STARS! Sometimes living in America it's like we forget to check our unrealistic realities at the door. There's not really parking they do have mini lot around the corner in the back but it's not much. Keep that in mind when coming here. This food is authentic and good. Point blank period. This place is very mom and pop, it's not fine dining it's like a family environment. Don't get me wrong I can understand the frustrations people have when they place orders etc. however this goes back to my aforementioned...entitled. The food was good, really flavorful I had : Camaroneros Al Ajillo - overall the sauce was made well and was seasoned well, very light hint of spice nothing to worry about. Slices of garlic which I enjoyed. Good for the soul and immune system. But if it's not something you like don't order. It came with yuca in which paired really well with the plate. The rice goes with the dish and again I enjoyed it. The shrimp were cooked well, not over or under. It was a comfort meal that landed well. I didn't feel tired or greasy when I left. I didn't feel nasty after eating it. Again people compare we all do, but this place is good. I definitely recommend it. Again it's mom and pop, do not expect fine dining or perfect customer service. However the service is very kind and welcoming nothing wrong about it. The staff was pleasant and attentive, couldn't ask for more. You get what you put out. Positivity will always reverberate.“
“Ordered from Uber Eats for the first time today. I ordered the small pernil lunch along with both a beef and a chicken empanada. I wasn't expecting much but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. “I've been walking passed this place many times but finally stopped in to try their food today.Since it was my first time, I decided to order the safest looking thing on the menu, their rotisserie chicken.I always see people eating it inside, so I figured it was a sure thing. And boy it was delicious!!!The chicken was seasoned to perfection and very juicy.The yellow rice was super soft and seasoned well.The beans and plantains were also super delicious.The green sauce was so good, you could drink it by itself.Overall the food was awesome.I'm so glad I finally tried this place.I will be coming back more frequently to try other things on their menu.“
