“What a wonderful dinner we had. My friend was here from Pennsylvania and knowing his choices of Italian is extremely limited I said do you want to try a place? Of course he said yes! We had a wonderful time and dinner from the zucchini flowers and octopus to the veal and pork chop specials it was just fantastic. I only wish that Peter was there to thank in person for maintaining such a wonderful place.“

“UPDATE AT THE END;I ordered online ahead of time to have my order ready on time, when I arrived in the store, the worker at the counter was choosing his priorities of personal life over the customers.He left me waiting there while my food was getting soggy more and more by the minute..He was busy catching up with some friends..When I spoke up and asked if my order is ready, the friend backed off to let me through to the counter, but this lovely worker took the opportunity to now call another friend over Video call to show him who just came in to the store.......To the business owner, if you want to have a good name, please make sure to talk to the worker that worked at the counter on March 30th at 11:45 - 11:55 pm.----UPDATE.A few minutes after posting the review, I got a reply from the owner that he will look into this.The next morning I got a call from him that he looked at the CCTV footage and wants to hear more details from me.I gave him the full story and he said that he will talk to the worker.I got a call from him not too long after the initial call, and he clarified what the story was and that the company is taking full responsibility on this.Now, after this I can proudly say, the customers service is 10 out of 5, awesome and amazing to deal with responsible people, a mistake is a mistake.“

They have nice big portions, which is a relief. The food is always consistent from the hot sandwiches, the hot food station, and cold cuts. Also, they have pre cooked meals in the fridge as well! “We took a road trip to Sleepy Hollow NY. While visiting Croton on Hudson, we were looking for a place for dinner. Decided to try Capriccios & am so happy we did. The staff made you feel welcomed upon entering the door. Our waiter Keenan was awesome, very friendly & made you feel at home while providing fast, excellent service. The eggplant rollatini was so delicious & huge!!! My husband love his lasagna & the thin crust pizza was amazing. If we lived closer we’d be regulars!!!“

“Had a wonderful experience at al di la! We arrived a little before 12 pm and was empty so we got to enjoy the quiet but it got filled up while we were sitting. The atmosphere is calm. There isn't a very bug menu but the food is really good. We had their famous salad pizza and didn't disappoint! We also ordered a hot coca which was perfect for this cold rainy day and a delicious salmon pizzaoili. The Eggplant rollantini was good as well. Will definitely be coming back here!“

But overall the pricing is good and the food is great even though it's Spanish people taking over the art of great Italian cooking. It's still a decent place. Better than Mariella's Pizza.“

“This is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Ossining. I specifically had the BBQ chicken slice and margarita slice while my father did plain slices and they were all gigantic but also loaded. If you’ve never been here before and live in the area, or are coming off the train this is a must stop spot being right up the hill.Take note the pizza is very greasy, but it has to do with type of cheese being used. The firmness and texture are perfect and not soggy at all. In my opinion this pizza would score very high on a Dave Portnoy pizza scale for those that rate pizza’s.I’ve had catering from here as well as other sandwiches and they are all great as well, but personally for me it’s the pizza that stands out the most and is a hidden gem that people should start paying more attention to.“

I was last here about 20 years ago but to be honest, like most, I have zero reason to ever be in Verplanck. This evening I was down there and made the immediate decision to dine-in the second I saw their big sign on Broadway. The place looks basically the same as I remember, very neat, clean and of course with a stellar menu. I observed Carmine (at the bar) preparing some amazing looking cocktails! Great service, well priced, friendly staff and great dishes! One thing I want to point out is how the first forkful of my cold antipasto salad appetizer immediately tasted soooo different. I wasn't expecting fresh, 'sharp' provolone -- no sliced ham here kids. Tonight was an unexpected treat! I will again grab my passport and cross the border into Westchester to spend more time here! “First time ordering take out from here since it’s been under new management. We ordered the Brooklyn pizza (thin square pie) and a large pie (half regular/ half pepperoni). The round pie was very good. Sauce had a nice tang, was thing and had a nice crunch. The show stopper was the Brooklyn Pie. My goodness, was it absolutely delicious. The sauce was more robust, had a bite to it and the pie was thin and crunchy. Absolutely amazing. My wife and I nearly ate the entire pie between the two of us. We will definitely be going back!“

But the issue was immediately and more importantly graciously resolved by the manager on hand. I wish this was the case with all restaurants but sadly it’s not.
