“I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. The ambiance was nice and comfortable and the food was very delicious. I had the fried dumpling, calamari, salmon salad and a pina colada which were all very delicious. I also had the chocolate fried ice cream because they were out of the vanilla flavor and that was tasty. I felt that the portion size of the salad and fried ice cream was a bit small but they were both delicious. The service/hospitality was great as well. Our waitress kept checking in with our table and answered all of our questions regarding the menu.“
“We had a great anniversary. We got the 12 piece + 2 hand roll omakase set for $53. The fish was super fresh and the whole meal was about 45min. There’s about 12-15 seats at the counter, so if you want to guarantee seating book a reservation. It was absolutely worth every “
“An absolutely amazing experience. Every piece of sushi was meticulously prepared and so so delicious. Your mouth will go on a journey that will leave your taste buds unable to appreciate any other piece of sushi. This place is amazing and we'll definitely be back.“
“Great place to stop by for a simple omakase lunch. Theres a small seating counter in the back for about 10-12 people. We had 10 pieces of fish with 2 rolls. The fish of the day was mackeral and fluke. Some of my favorites were the torched sable fish and scallop. Service was great and the staff were friendly.“
“My friends treated me and my wife to dinner here as an engagement present. We all had a wonderful time and thought the food was top notch. On top of the fresh fish and impeccable presentations, I really appreciated that Don was so accommodating to dietary restrictions. Many restaurants serving omakase are unwilling to make changes. I would absolutely come back again and recommend this to anyone.“
“Yesterday was our first visit to the Osaka Sushi Restaurant, today is our second visit. We came to the Osaka Sushi restaurant from Las Vegas to New Jersey on a trip. Their business is very good, We saw a lot of peoples eating sushi here when we be there. the owner of a warm reception for us, we came for the first time, gave us a lot of good recommendations, food is very fresh. The service is very good, the atmosphere is very good, we see someone's birthday, we are very happy. We'll be back!“
“Sushi Goda stole my heart right as soon as I walked in. The futuristic entrance, cozy ambience, and nice jazzy music in the background make everything perfect. The food is hands-down delicious. We ordered fried rice, salmon skin salad, sushi tempura, and bruschetta. Everything tastes out of the world. The servers were super and they definitely did a great job in paying attention to details. I would recommend Sushi Goda to everyone who loves sushi and omakase.“
“Shiraz is still the yet to be discovered and immensely enjoyed in White Plains and the NY suburb Tri-States. . Whether it is for weekday lunch or dinner, a couple sublimed drinks or the Sushi bar, or the more elaborate weekend family eats or gatherings and live “Jazzy JAZX” music , or be it at times a most exquisite private party and surreal ambiance, Shiraz has already become a fine cuisine destination which the patrons take pride In experiencing and regularly returning to great times….great food drink quality ingredients, excellent service, receptive to patrons’ suggestions, and with convenient location in the heart of vibrant white plains, there is no need to travel long to enjoy a most sublimed culinary experience.“
“Great place to have seafood . Food is very delicious . I had a dragon roll which was good size . Bass was melting in my mouth and buttery but lacked seasoning. Fries very good size but not crispy. They need to work on fries . Greek salad was more of tomato salad than Greek salad . Lacking major Mediterranean elements .Dietary restrictions: Kosher“
“A comfortable Japanese fusion spot in a complex with convenient parking lot. The restaurant offers lunch special and full menu ranging from sushi, hibachi, and bento. Good quantity for the price paid ($30 for one special roll, Kamazaki, and one regular shrimp tempura roll)The restaurant is clean and spacious with plenty natural light. Only glitch was the waiter seemed confused when ordering and didnt seem familiar with the menu. Other than that, a good spot for fusion craving and would come back again.“
“I love omakase. I love not having to decide what to eat. This place has multiple locations apparently and opened up near the end of last year. It looked good and I'd been wanting to try it for a while. I'm glad I got the chance. It's a small-ish place. You can either sit at the bar or a table. We sat at the bar and these 2 girls next to us were super loud the whole time. I got the green tea sake, which actually taste like straight green tea and I loved it. I don't remember the name of it. The rest of the courses were pretty standard: uni, sea bream, tuna, wagyu beef, and there was a wagyu beef nigiri but I forgot to take a picture of it. The night ended with this adorable looking dessert which was wafer cookie with ice cream in it. Really nice restaurant, very nice service, not too pricey, and their sake list is pretty extensive. I would go back just for that green tea one.“
“First time eating here and the food is phenomenal. $15 large bowl and soup with good quantity/quality of ingredients. Gladis made my bowl and it was perfect!!! For those ordering with wasabi aioli be mindful of how much you add because it is strong“
“Server Xin from Sushi Gama has set a high standard for restaurants in the East Side area! Our server, Xin, was the best part of our experience. Xin displayed wonderful customer service and is by far the best server we've ever encountered. A big shout-out to Xin! He was a wonderful waiter because he provided amazing service and was very attentive. He kept changing out any dirty plates without us even having to ask. We would definitely come back for him!“
“1. Fish quality is good. Tuna could be better at least the day I went.2. Signature Futomaki is my pick on this place.3. Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) is ok, but I would not order this again. Cooked well but not real Japanese style.4. It’s BYOB so make sure to bring your favorite sake.5. Friday evening is busy so go early if you plan being there.“
“Might be some of the best sushi I've ever had. Nori perfectly toasted, rice perfect and the fillings on each hand roll was *chef's kiss. What a great way to get a little nibble of something amazing without having to commit to an entire omakase menu. Wish I could give it 10 stars“
“I love Anytime because the vibe is a bit more fancier than other regular pochas you would go to in Fort Lee or Palisades Park. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is top notch. If you order the honey makgeolli (rice wine) the servers will slice up real honey and put it in your glass.“
“i was blown away by the attention to detail and mastery/execution of every single dish that came out from their omakase. i didn’t take pictures of every piece of sushi that came out but i will simply say that the chef has taken their time to understand the complex flavor profiles of each fish and carefully paired them with the perfect sauces/marinade to best complement their nuanced flavors. every single item served to me that night was delicious and carefully/methodically crafted to delight all the senses.“
“The 4.8 rating after 185 reviews made me question this restaurant. How could they have that high of a rating with such a large sample size. After going there I’m on the hunt to find those individuals that made this score not a perfect 5. Service was exceptional (especially when considering the normal pricing). Sushi quality was the best I’ve ever had in every food I ate (miso soup wasn’t too salty). Complimentary miso and a roll from the chef. There is not a single thing I could complain about and I look forward to giving this establishment as much business as possible.“
“Nestled in NYC's Upper East Side, Me Jin Ramen delivered authentic Japanese flavors. The cozy ambiance and welcoming staff set the stage for a memorable dining experience. I had the Meijin Miso Ramen and ate the whole thing. The broth, simmered to perfection, harmonizes with the chewy, house-made noodles and exquisite toppings like tender beef, bean sprouts, green onions and sweet corn. As a local, I treasure Meijin Ramen for its consistently exceptional quality and comforting atmosphere. For a taste of Japan in the heart of NYC, Meijin Ramen is an absolute must-visit.“
“Takeda is a phenomenal sushiya on the UWS. It's a 8 person counter serving an Omakase course of around 17 dishes. The Omakase is a mixture of nigiri, sashimi, and cooked dishes. The meal last around 2.5 hours and is $250 per person. Our favorite dishes were;Lobster - this was probably the best lobster I've ever had. Favorite dish of the omakase.Sardine - sardine usually isn't my favorite piece of sushi but the way Takeda does it is excellent.Golden Eye Snapper - what we enjoyed about Takeda was they don't serve the usual roundup of fish. Never had golden eye snapper and it was delicious. Vegetable Tempura - a fried tempura ball of vegetables, simple but great.Chu Toro - excellent.Striped jack - excellent. The service was top notch, our waitress explained each piece of fish to us and was very attentive. Highly recommend Takeda if you're looking for top level sushi.“
“So happy to have found this hidden gem. It is on the lower level of a building with a different restaurant just above. They have a large outdoor patio with heaters behind the building which is perfect for covid-safe dining. The food was fantastic, excellent sushi! Top quality fish, beautiful preparation and presentation and there are a few omakase options. The hoji tea panna cotta dessert was phenomenal as well. The price is definitely ‘special occasion’ territory for most but well worth it if you love sushi. Will definitely be coming back and hope others find this hidden gem!“
“My wife and I went to Sushi Jin last night for the first time. It was wonderful on all fronts - the space, the vibe, the freshness, the omakase selections, the assembly, the presentation, and of course, the taste (oishii!). Really good sake, too. Chef Tachikawa took great care of us- he was friendly, gracious, and way capable. Our server (everything else but the sushi), Jean, was also fantastic. We walked out of there satisfied & very happy and thought it was the perfect dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We look forward to our next visit.“
“The service attitude is very good. She kept asking us if it suits our taste. I think it is very considerate. The lady has a very good service attitude. She helped us take photos and gave guidance. The food is delicious. I recommend the Pad Thai the most.“
“I have never had a better pork Katsu in my life! My friend offered to take me here and I had no idea what a treat this was. I had to take one home for my son. When I say the pork was still crispy when I got home 20mins later! Perfection and can't wait to go back!“
“My friends and I decided to indulge in the appetizers, raw bar, and sushi menu as the main entrees didn't quite catch our attention. They ordered the lychee martinis, while I savored the delightful Melon Spritz, which was absolutely delicious. Every dish we sampled was exquisite. We capped off the evening with martini espressos, enjoying the music and ambiance. The only downside was the prolonged wait for our drinks after ordering. Despite that, the bathroom's view of the kitchen, though unusual, was beautifully designed. We're definitely considering a return visit!“
“I would highly recommend anyone looking for a restaurant with delicious food and lively atmosphere. We recently dined at Jugemu that exudes a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of delicious Japanese dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I recommend to try fresh oysters here. It was creamy in texture and had an fresh splash of sea flavor that I can only describe as “yummy.” The sushi rolls, adorned with inventive combinations, marry tradition with innovation, leaving an indelible impression. What truly stood out was the impeccable service – attentive and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for a delightful Japanese culinary journey!“
“Daysi was the perfect host. She was very attentive and friendly. This was my first visit to Bless up and it was a great experience. Food is good, atmosphere is chill and the happy hour hits every time. I'm going to post my review on tiktokDietary restrictions: Seafood allergies“
“Update...we have now had lunch here as well. The food and service are both solid...I stopped by for a drink and was very impressed with both the service and decor of Kissaki. This establishment definitely has a high-end Japanese feel to it. While I haven't eaten here yet, my wife has with her girlfriends and loved the sushi and atmosphere as well. I'll definitely be back to try the sushi lunch special...“
“My husband is on a Renal Diet and depressed because of it. We come to Kura, Fort Lee weekly. He can eat like he used to and thanks to the Sashimi options stay in target. It’s fun. And even if our adult daughter’s @empirestateofmurray can not come we bring g back prize balls. It’s a win-win. Shout out to Rossana!“
“An exquisite Japanese restaurant, underground, small but delicious, the seafood they had on the bar looked delicious, the sushi was very delicious and the rolls too, they brought us a very tasty misso soup and the shrimp tempura was good. I don't give it a 5 for the atmosphere because of the light, although reading the letter was difficult for us, without light we struggled more, but I would return without thinking about it.“
“Had omakase for my birthday with my wife recently and I was can 1000% say it was the best meal I have ever eaten in my 44 years. I spent 25 years in high end seafood, (wholesale, retail, private chef, and catering) and was blown away by the quality of the fish! The chef was masterful as he balanced every single course (in had the 16) to perfection. He was incredibly skilled and a wonderful artist. The selection of fish from Japan was amazing. He explained every course as he served us. This place is a gem. I have eaten at just about every single sushi restaurant around and on see no reason to go anywhere else anymore. The place is clean and beautiful, the owner and staff were friendly and very interactive. The preparation and care that went into everyone was second to none. If you enjoy the finest sushi, please don't hesitate and go! And the only way to go is omakase“
“I went to this place with my toddler today. Place was very clean and welcoming. Loved the food neat and fresh! My toddler loved udon and shrimp tempura roll. there is various choices for kids too. Not too salty nor sweet. The owner and the server was so nice to both of us and very friendly. Would definitely visit again!“
“Absolutely love this place, my boyfriend and I wanted sushi and we found this place on google, we went there for dinner one night and we have been back to it since then. Amazing fresh and delicious food, and most importantly the service is beyond amazing, they greet you with such kindness and are very attentive of you.“
“I recently dined at Hawaiian Japanese Cuisine in Hastings-on-Hudson, and it was an absolute treat! From the moment I stepped in, the warm welcome from the owner set the tone for a truly delightful dining experience. The sushi was a standout, crafted authentically and to perfection, reflecting the genuine artistry and passion behind each dish. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, showcasing the high-quality ingredients and culinary skill. Not only was the food excellent, but it was also reasonably priced, offering great value for such top-notch cuisine. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable meal from start to finish.I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience with a friendly touch. It's a gem that truly stands out, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“
“Attentive service, Bottles of Sake & a mixed array of sushi! The first sushi restaurant that i been to serves Toro.Vegetarian options: They have vegetablesParking: Street parking and a parking lot across the streetKid-friendliness: It’s a kid friendly restaurant“
“Food 10/10Crazy that their omakase set for takeout is only 60 dollars and the fish is flown in from Totsuya fish market. Incredibly generous servings and the quality of the fish is superb. I was in actual shock when I took the first bite. The rice is alright, but the star of the show is always the fish so it doesn’t really matter. So impressed by their supreme sushi and sashimi set. Better than some omakase spots in manhattan. So delicious and so close to home too I can’t wait to return.“
“If I have to choose one Korean sushi/sashimi restaurant in NJ, then Bada Story Englewood Cliffs is the one. The staff are extremely well trained. The back of house staff knows a thing or two about culinary excellence. And the owner/executive chef has put together an awesome items in the menu.Bada Story’s dinner feast boasts the most extensive assortment of appetizing sashimi in the tristate area. No, it does not come cheap. But the quality of fish they bring out totally justifies the pricing. Even the side dishes (aka tskedashi) is consisted of noteworthy seafood items. Dessert - the seafood soup - is the only thing that’s disappointing, but you are probably 120% over your capacity by the time you get the soup. By the way, isn’t it funny that Koreans eat a bowl of rice and seafood soup for their dessert?Their lunch special is outstanding as well. Whenever I crave sashimi, but I don’t want to spend $250 for a meal, I go to Bada Story for their lunch special. Nicely priced, but not compromised in quality. When the warm drinking water is exceptionally tasty (aka seung-nyeung) you know you are at a well operated restaurant. Highly recommended.“
“Oh. Em. Gee. I'm a sushi lover & I honestly feel like I never really had sushi until dining here. This is an experience on a whole other level. Quality trumps quantity here & it's worth every penny. Every bite melted in my mouth. Ambiance: A+. Service: A+. Food: A++“
“Lower the Sinatra music, Mike, play Kitaro instead! Also, pls add sukiyaki to the kitchen dishes. There is only one place in Hartsdale that offers a mediocre version, sadly...Food here is great, so is service. Any of the maki rolls, nigiri, etc., can't go wrong. The fish tank alone is worth the visit!“
“Absolutely wonderful but understated sushi spot on the upper East side. Always super fresh ingredients with a quiet but kind staff. Atmosphere is relaxing, and spa like. I recommend always getting a pot of tea, which is lovely floral with an air of jasmine. Great place 5 star quality at 3 star prices.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide paths allow easy access for wheel chairs, no steps.“
“We had a wonderful Omakase experience with Chef Masa. He did surprise us with foods that were entirely new to us (like Sea Urchins). All the fish served were sourced from Japan and tasted like nothing we had before. The place was really hard to find because it was late evening and their front entrance is on a by-lane next to the back entrance of Kiky Jewelers.“
“This mom-and-pop hole in the wall sushi joint isn't aiming for Nobu, and that's part of its charm. With top-notch fish quality and surprisingly generous portion sizes, it's a unique experience. The large order, a feast for 5-6 adults, comes with an abundance of ginger, enough to start your own sushi joint.A friendly suggestion: pre-mixing the spicy tuna and salmon with their sauce, seasoned with Ichimi togarashi, could add an extra layer of flavor. Run by a mom and pop, this place exudes potential. I'll be back, perhaps on a quieter day, excited to delve deeper into what this unpretentious spot has to offer.“
“Such a great restaurant! Kinda pricey, so I just got a burger but it was excellent. Well cooked, warm and flavorful. Sit down restaurant, great atmosphere and our waiter, Paris, is awesome! Super cool do and attentive! Recommend the restaurant and will be back!“
“I love how intimate the atmosphere is. We sat at the sushi bar and had Omakase, it was spectacular. The sushi was fresh, our chef’s display was exquisite. The staff was attentive but not too much. The best Sushi I’ve had in the area. Will definitely be “
“We got the salmon tray & spicy box set and it was a perfect portion for 2 people with a decent price! The space is very small and cramped so we ate it at the Central Park which was only 10 min walk. Overall enjoyed it and will definitely visit again!Oh, bring cash if you are planning to visit. They only accept cash.“
“Wow! You really don't find sushi at this price anymore. Really impressed with Sashimi Express II. They have one table inside, so it really is takeout only. We got home 40+ minutes after leaving, and all the sushi was still super fresh and tasted great. It is cash only! Don't remember what we ordered specifically, but we ordered 9+ rolls and got 6 nigiris for $52 !!!!!! That's unheard of. Sushi pieces were a little small in contrast to your typcial rolls, but for how cheap the cost is you really can't complain. Will be back! 4.5/5“
“If you dont come here, you are missing out! The owners treat you like family. Customers are priority to them. Their food is amazing from pizza to salads to sushi to falafel! I have tried it all by now. Everything is fresh and you can just have everything on the menu because its THAT GOOD! Best pizza around!!! They do not miss a beat. Truly passionate people!! Highly recommend!!!!“
“Ein fantastisches 2 Sterne-Restaurant. Die Speisen waren von bester Qualität und geschmacklich ausgezeichnet. Alle Gerichte des Omakase waren ganz wunderbar. Die verköstigten Sake (Tatenokawa 18 und Kirinzan waren hervorragend) waren allesamt tadellos. Der Service war stets präsent, ohne aufdringlich zu sein, sehr freundlich, höflich und zuvorkommend.“
“Accommodating service but the food- none of it was particularly good.Steak wasn’t the greatest cut or quality. Chicken was flavorful enough so perhaps that’s the star of the show. Tempura wasn’t comparable quality to other places in and around NyC at a similar price point. Ginger salad was decent, fried rice was mediocre.Unfortunately nothing impressed enough to have me want to come back but that’s as a non sushi eater so I leave 4 stars because this place seems highly rated by those who enjoy sushi and I don’t want to significantly impact their rating for something outside of their namesake.“
“Went here for dining but found out they only offer take out after 10pm.But we were greeted by really warm people in there. The old lady who took our order was lovely. We’d ordered two sushi rolls and one gyoza. Everything was good.A great place to grab a quick dinner before you go drinking at the bars nearby.Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian options but you won’t go back hungry lolI mean you can’t expect a sushi place to have a ton of vegetarian dishes!“
