“Had a very good meal at Thep Thai. Came here on a sunday afternoon, there was no wait, and our waitress (Gift) was very attentive and checked in often even though we sat in a back corner outside. The food was also amazing, some of the best Thai food we had in UES. Definitely would recommend.“
“We arrived before 12:30 on a Saturday and was lucky to get a parking spot. But surprisingly after we parked more spots opened up. We ordered a papaya salad, beef noodle soup, duck noodle soup and chicken curry. The papaya salad was quite spicy.“
“One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. Easily my favorite restaurant on Long Island. I am a chef and the guy at the table next to me was as well and we were both blown away. My kids (4 years old) loved everything, my mother (pescatarian) couldnt have loved her food more. The drinks were on point and the flavors were beyond compare. Their char sui bao were hands-down the best I have ever had.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian dim sum and a ton of dishes too. Absolutely fantastic vegetarian offerings!Kid-friendliness: My 4 year olds loved the place! The servers were great with them!“
“I have been coming to this establishment since it was legit a box on the block. If you walked too fast you'd miss it...and I'm so excited and impressed on how they've transformed to become such edgy, dateworthy and "Instagrammable" sit down dining restaurant.Prices & Food: very reasonable, includes lunch time specials that won't dent the pockets. I haven't had all of the dishes on the menu but the ones that I have had I enjoyed. I ❤️ the fact that they stay true to their roots regarding heat levels. They don't dummy it down for us NYers..you came there remember! On the flip..they should stay true to their roots and not serve fried chicken wings the way we do up here. That was a miss ?Cleanliness: ? they nailed it! The bathroom decor is something I'd be inspired to copy and VERY clean, smells good, etc. I hold a sanitation certificate so EVERYWHERE I go I'm looking in corners, looking at the ceiling, under the tables..I need to know my area is clean to enjoy my food! 5stars!Service: No complaints. Each server has been attentive and patient; never really hovering to rush me and my party out so much appreciated ?I would very much recommend coming here. Nice for a solo date or bring a party. The place is inviting and seats about 40 people in total I believe. Warm months brings outside dining, never done it, but it looks ?Wheelchair accessibility: Establishment provides outdoor dining and has a ramp! Thoughtful!“
“A comfortable Japanese fusion spot in a complex with convenient parking lot. The restaurant offers lunch special and full menu ranging from sushi, hibachi, and bento. Good quantity for the price paid ($30 for one special roll, Kamazaki, and one regular shrimp tempura roll)The restaurant is clean and spacious with plenty natural light. Only glitch was the waiter seemed confused when ordering and didnt seem familiar with the menu. Other than that, a good spot for fusion craving and would come back again.“
“Hand rolls here are pretty good! Portions are small but I definitely recommend giving it a try here! My favorite handrolls were the spicy tuna and the avocado salmon. The seared prime beef and the A5 Wagyu were also to die for! Every bite melts in your mouth! The spicy tuna crispy rice was ok. The rice was not crispy enough. There was 4 pieces for $12. The salmon carpaccio was really good! Love the citrus sauce that came with this dish. There was 5 slices of salmon for $16. So it was a bit overpriced. Veggie udon was really good and flavorful! Really hit the spot on a cold rainy day! Parking is a bit difficult but that's the norm in Fort Lee. Overall, fish was pretty fresh but overpriced for the portions.“
“It's a cozy, atmospheric place. The service is great and pleasant. Very welcoming vibe and cozy place to sit and enjoy. Staffs are polite and doesn't feel rushed like other places. Thai food is always a healthy and great selection of bubble tea.Kid-friendliness: Ambiance is playful with comfortable lighting and seating.“
“The service attitude is very good. She kept asking us if it suits our taste. I think it is very considerate. The lady has a very good service attitude. She helped us take photos and gave guidance. The food is delicious. I recommend the Pad Thai the most.“
“I realize this is arguably damming with faint praise, but clearly the best restaurant in Yonkers/Western Westchester county below the Cuomo bridge. High quality ingredients, well-prepared. Excellent service plus a nice view of the water -- at least before dark. Compares favorably to some of the better Manhattan restaurants. To be sure, is it as good as say, Le Bernardin or Jean Georges? Of course not. But you'll get a first-class dining experience for probably half the price, without the hassle of traffic and parking.“
“Held a private event there (my 1st visit) and it was amazing thanks to Susannah, Jo & Dani and the rest of the staff for their professionalism, delicious menu, cool vibes, and outstanding service. Looking forward to sharing more great times at Bixi’s❤️“
“The food here is out of this world. Everything is so fresh, tasty, colorful, and delicious. The two sisters who run the place are very kind and again, love the food. Outside of Thailand, this is the best Thai food I've ever had in NYC!“
“What a blast! The food, the atmosphere, the service and wow the drinks! We were killing time to head back home and met up with family that were already there. The fried shrimp dumplings was so good! And the wings!? Wow! The drinks by far were the highlight of the night. Were definitely going back with some time to chill.“
“Nice mellow atmosphere, excellent polite service, had a hankering for so I stopped in and had shrimp Ramen. In a miso type broth, very flavorful, plenty of shrimp and surimi type stuff. Egg was just poached in the broth. They gave me a free appetizer of , I think, white fish tempura which was amazing, great sauce on it. Would go back again, probably would not get the ramen, though good, I have had better.“
“Authentic Japanese grilled meats!! Very tasty with their different cuts and the meats come with juicy tenderness. The flame is what makes the extra grill taste to the meats! Desserts like the s'mores roasting over open flame is just so much fun with kids! Highly recommend this Japanese Grill! The service was superb with their staffs! Ambiance is great too with the seating arrangements.“
“Alright, now ! If you’re looking to have a decent fast food healthy meal … field trip is your spot. I’ll keep it super real and admit the rice may not be cooked to everyone’s standards but I personally enjoy the black rice with the veggies that comes with the salmon bowl. Flavor wise the shrimp bowl is my favorite with coconut curry sauce and chili peppers ??, the salmon bowl and the braised beef are really filling too.Now what steals the show each and every time for me is the CRAB POCKETS Made with blue crab, garlic and herb cream cheese, ginger and scallion … amazing !“
“Stopped in for a quick takeout order on a weeknight, the staff were very attentive and provided great service.Food:- Kai burger: SO good!! Highly recommend. Really good flavor and ratio of meat and cheese and toppings. Best part of the meal.- onion rings: these were okay, but I think it was due to the delay in getting home and eating them. The sauce was good and and breading indicated they’d be good fresh. Could benefit from having more in the order.- soup dumplings: very tasty, still warm when I got home with them. Had a lot of meat packed in.Had a little mishap with the shrimp dumplings, but the staff was proactive and made the situation right. Food was out quick. Give this place a try if you’ve got a hankering for some comfort food.“
“Absolutely wonderful but understated sushi spot on the upper East side. Always super fresh ingredients with a quiet but kind staff. Atmosphere is relaxing, and spa like. I recommend always getting a pot of tea, which is lovely floral with an air of jasmine. Great place 5 star quality at 3 star prices.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide paths allow easy access for wheel chairs, no steps.“
“Prices are a bit steep but otherwise we've redound our love for Sunmerry. Kids love the rainbow cake and in general their bakery is super fresh and on a different level vs even your high quality Asian bakery. I love that they started free samples of their juices and cakes, baked items. It's another reason we get drawn to come back to Sunmerry for desert almost every other week!“
“Vegetarian options: There were enough options for my vegetarian friend to choose from.Parking: The restaurant is an anchor to the Westchester Mall, which has plenty of parking that is now flat rate vs the hourly they used to charge.Kid-friendliness: There were kids throughout that appeared to be enjoying themselves.“
“I only got their bahn mi sandwiches for years since it was very good. I tried their curry noodles which were ok, went back to the bahn mi. I then tried the spicy lemongrass soup and chicken pad thai which were both terrific. Very generous portions. Look forward to trying their other dishes. The staff is welcoming and courteous, and they give you a nice cup of hot tea. There’s plenty of additional seating outdoors on a nice day. I agree with another reviewer’s comment that there is a lot of extra packaging/containers for takeout, especially for the toppings and sauces. Maybe best to eat at the restaurant, and to take the rest home, much less packaging.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian soup broth upon request“
“Nothing short of incredible! This is the best Pecking duck in Manhattan, maybe in the world. We come for the food and stay for the service - the service team is incredible and the management team is our favorite in NYC! They always go above and beyond to make us feel like family :)“
“Saw the spot on seamless forever, was walking by a decided to drop in for a meal. The place is clean with interesting decoration, old photographs adorn the walls. Server was friendly and quick. The steam dumplings were large but bland, needs seasoning in the filling, dipping sauce only helped a little. Beef chili noodle soup was flavorful, tender beef, peppers and noodle in a delicious light broth.“
“Went to Thai at Lex with a friend and ordered chicken pad Thai with a side order of spring rolls and thai iced tea. We had a pleasant server and enjoyed the atmosphere. The place had good traffic in the take out section and that gave me a sense that people like the food. I would definitely go again when I'm in the area.“
“This restaurant used to be located more further down on westchester ave. It was called Monte de oro (gold mountain). I used to go there when I was a kid to a teenager. Then, it closed down. Thank god it relocated more up westchester ave. Under the name of el pabellon de oro (the flag of gold) It still had the same waiters & owner so I knew the food would be the same(delicious). It is a Chinese Spanish fusion. My go to dish is the steak w/ shrimp fried rice & plantano maduros(sweet plantains). Staff is ok. I like that the inside has a fish tank. It also has a lobster tank where you pick your own lobster. They had this in the old restaurant. The environment is just ok. I really came for the delicious food!!!“
“Chino Latino food, a delectable fusion of chinese with latino influence. I really liked the old school vibe, kinda retro from grandad days. Food is tasty and portions are large, so come here when you are hungry. Crispy chicken crackling, served with fried rice is a favourite and don’t forget to ask for the yummy green sauce. I travelled like halfway round the world to this place when i first spotted it on instagram.“
“What an absolutely fun and incredible experience. The restaurant is very lively, even on a Monday evening in the winter so you can imagine what it would be like in the summer months. A reservation is highly recommended, especially if you want seating at the grill but on off days you shouldn't have a problem with a walk in. Well depending on the group size. The menu is plentiful but simple, so many options to choose from and even good vegetarian options. The servers were very attentive, polite and friendly. The chef was extremely entertaining. You can tell he loves his job to the fullest. First he confirmed everyone's orders so he could prepare them properly and confirm and food allergies. Because I'm allergic to shrimp he cooked my steak first and served it so he could cook everything else without contaminating my food so that was very appreciative. He cooked with style, flair and a huge smile. The guests were very happy with the presentation and cooking. The price may seem high at first glance but you get what you pay for. I ordered the new York steak and it was served with grilled vegetables first then egg fried rice then noodles and then the protein cooked exactly how I wanted it. I was very happy with the overall experience and food and I highly recommend this place to anyone who has never been to a hibachi restaurant.“
“I had rice noodles and garlic shrimp for a late lunch. The rice noodles weren't bad, but the meat served as a topping was a bit thick and tough. The noodles also felt a bit undercooked. However, the soup itself was clean and delicious. Service was good.“
“I don’t usually write food reviews but Wow to this restaurant!! My most favorite Thai restaurant in the UWS or even NYC. As a Thai person living in NYC i can say everything I ordered from here are so authentic! The food so fresh and flavorful plus the service is top notch! If I could give 10 stars I would! Highly recommended this place to everyone!“
“(4.5 stars) Extremely attentive service, quiet and relaxed yet intricate ambience. The food was very reasonably priced (for NY prices) for modern Chinese cuisine. Favorite dish was probably the lychee shrimp balls in both taste and presentation. We also ordered the mushroom pancakes (it was ok) and Peking duck. The Peking duck was a bit smaller in portion than what we had expected (seems less than a half), and taste is also on the mid to lower end compared to other similar modern Chinese cuisines.“
“Fresh, delicious food at very reasonable price, paired with great, friendly service --- what else can one ask for? Perhaps a variety of Asian food including quality sushi, poke bowls and ramen dishes? Yep - they have you covered in a clean dining room. Even the fish in the aquarium at the entrance are well-behaved and wish you a "bon apetit" when you enter! [Just kidding, but only about that last part]. Happy that we found this place, and will be back!“
“We went for hibachi during lunch and it was nice because it wasn’t packed. Our only complaint about our experience here was that there was a hair in my partners dessert, and it clearly wasn’t his. Other than that the servers and chef were nice, and the hibachi itself was good.“
“Found this random taco place in Harlem, and I thought it was amazing! We tried the tinga taco, barbacoa taco, and the korean bulgogi taco. I liked all three, but my friend didn't find them to be his favorites. Customer service was excellent. There aren't too many places to sit, but if you go at an off time, it is pretty easy to be able to hang out there. They had some great sodas there too.“
“When I say AMAZING!! Rachel greeted us at the door . We came for happy hour. She was so sweet and an excellent server. The food was sooo good . And them drinks were strong but tasty. All of the staff were so pleasant and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We drove over an hour to come and we will def be back ! Thank you Rachel ! Thank you CZEN !Vegetarian options: I had the bang bang cauliflowers and the Mongolian mushrooms. So deliciousParking: Paid parking right on the street and it’s free after 6“
“Crispy Bamboo Village has always been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. It is a great option when you need your lunch or dinner to take out. Delivery is also an option using any of the apps available but being so close to my home, I prefer to pick up the food. The service is fast if you consider the large number of orders that they receive by phone, which you can listen to ringing while waiting for your dishes. The quality of the dishes and their prices are not comparable with any fast food if customers take into account the time of preparation, the balance of the ingredients offered (including vegetables and meats), and the flavors that, different from a burger or hot dog , results difficult to replicate at home. Remember, the restaurant is only to take out.Crispy Bamboo Village has always been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. It's a great option when you need to bring your lunch or dinner. “Bonchon is THE brand for a reason. Great Korean chicken, always hits the spot, consistent. Very crispy without ever being crunchy. Very flavorful without really sticky fingers. It takes a while longer than other wings to cook, but it's worth the wait.“
“We usually don’t lost reviews, but what a great overall Asian fare. Consistent. Good food. Many options. Reliable, and the service is unmatched. Thomas always takes care of us — and we have a plethora of allergies and “special requests.” Really hard working people in a great atmosphere at reasonable prices. Great for people with celiac or gluten sensitivity.“
“I visted Tasty House on 9/30/23. I purchased a sesame chicken with brown rice combination plate as well as a pint of broccoli in garlic sauce! I also had chicken wings, which were plump and juicy. The food was delicious and their staff is always friendly, no matter how busy they might be.“
“As a New Yorker when someone suggests going out for Chinese you would normally assume, and rightfully so, that you'll end up ordering from a "hole in wall" fast food spot.Kai isn't that. It's a sit down place where you just enjoy your food in a peaceful atmosphere. The pricing was ok, but it was NYC so it was to be expected. The food however is worth the cost. Consider it something like take-out plus, Chinese food with a twist. And it is not just "Chinese" food, under the category of "Asian fusion" their menus are a little bit from the many color cultures of the East. Come for sushi, get some hot sake alongside it, with some wings and soup.It was a great place, relaxing, the music was tame and not in your face, and the staff seemed to have grown on us as time went by.Bring your family, or friends, or maybe just by yourself and have yourself some of that classic food we New York's associate as Asian.“
“I had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and Tommy was incredibly accommodating and ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish The food was absolutely delicious, and my bridal party still raves about it, especially the sushi! The staff was also very attentive and made sure that all of our needs were met. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.“
“For the past 2 months, I've been to 25 different Chinese restaurants ordered the same dish...Genera Tso Chicken. In all these restaurants, was the Best !!!! No doubt, I'll be going back again, and again, and again. You got the idea.“
“Excellent! I was going to be in the area for something, and planned to have lunch here first due to the great reviews. The food did not disappoint. I loved the various banchan and the generous portions. I decided on a pork belly and octopus dish on a sizzling platter with rice, and it was delicious. I kept eating it although I was full. My husband ordered a pork belly dish that had a different sauce than mine did, and that was equally tender and delicious. The staff was very attentive and polite, and I like that the food is authentic. There's a Korean restaurant about 5 minutes from my house, but I'd rather drive 30 minutes to this restaurant since the food is superior. Bonus: the restaurant is family-friendly, and there's a playground right down the road so when we bring our infant son out for lunch, we can also let him play afterwards.“
“Fieldtrip is in a very ideal location for those attending Columbia or just visiting! They have unique combinations with their rice and meats and offer healthy beverages as well. The sweet plantains were a great way to end the meal, although I wish the portion was a little bigger for the price. The service was pretty fast and there was plenty of seating in the store“
“Some delicious food here! I got the lechon - which is whole roasted suckling pig. The meat was actually delicious. The bowl was week though. The bok Choi was overcooked. The tomatoes were just OK. It's needed Cauliflower and broccoli to beef it up. The sauce was too mild. I ended up eating it with Sriracha instead. But that said, this place is going to be very successful!“
“I've had so many great meals here for lunch and dinner! If you like sushi, try their creative house items like their avocado eel rice or their sushi pizza, etc. My regular is just the sashimi deluxe so if you're a purist, you can rely on fresh slices here. They also have good cooked Japanese and Chinese food so if you're into something hot, try the hibachi, teriyaki or udon noodles. Definitely ask for recommendations, all their servers are knowledgeable and well-trained. If you want to karoke with dinner, Saturday night is so much fun and it's a great crowd.“
“Lin's might be my new local go-to for pan-Asian cuisine in North Bronx! My takeout order was ready for pick up within minutes, the staff was friendly, and everything was packaged perfectly. The inside was clean and spacious when I stepped in with a nice, casual atmosphere when I stepped in.As for the food, everything tasted fresh, delicious, and perfectly satisfying! I had the chicken fried rice, the spicy crunch salmon roll, the pepper tuna avocado roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. All of the rolls tasted great-- the best one being the pepper tuna for me-- and the preparation and quality really allowed the flavors to shine. However, my favorite item turned out to be the chicken fried rice. The chicken tasted just a bit caramelized for a savory, umami-rich dish that was not at all greasy. I would definitely come back just for this fried rice!Overall, Lin's was definitely worth it with the reasonable prices justifying the portion sizes and quality of the food!“
“us locals call it "gas station sushi" but don't let that name be a turn-off. it's located in the same location as a gas station, and a Red Mango ice cream shop. The sushi is always fresh, and delivery is super fast. And don't stop at just ordering sushi.... they will make any traditional Asian dish you like including the very best wonton soup I've ever had. You can't go wrong with Kiku sushi!“
“I visited for the first time I was super impressed. Our server was Jimmy. He was very professional and skilled. The menu is upscale dining, and it shows by the presentation of the food and flavor was just that. Very pleased my new go to date spot.“
“Went here for dining but found out they only offer take out after 10pm.But we were greeted by really warm people in there. The old lady who took our order was lovely. We’d ordered two sushi rolls and one gyoza. Everything was good.A great place to grab a quick dinner before you go drinking at the bars nearby.Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian options but you won’t go back hungry lolI mean you can’t expect a sushi place to have a ton of vegetarian dishes!“
