I am a longtime New Yorker and this is my favorite restaurant in the city. I have fond memories of my dad bringing me here for special occasions when I was a little girl, and it remains as special now as it was back then. Nothing changes at Gallagher's and that's a good thing. The food is delicious. The service is spectacular. The atmosphere is homey, fancy yet not overwhelmingly so, and so nostalgic and warm. I had the lunch specialThe steak is delicious and the soup is also delicious. It tastes a bit like kimchi stew.Try one steak for an additional $18. It tasted better even though it wasn't cut.And the New York cheesecake and lime pie are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend them.
