One of the best local restaurants/cafes on the upper west side. It is hard to find truly gourmet baked goods anywhere else.The staff are amazing and I just find it to be a relaxing place.

I found my new favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood. The avocado toast at Patis really hits the spot! It isn't cheap I think it comes to $18 or $19 but it is consistently delicious. It has mashed avocado on the bottom and pickled onions, tomato and salted pumpkin seeds on top. I believe they use a fresh sourdough bread. This place is very cute and a good place to catch up with a friend. They have plenty of seating, good music that's not too loud, and has so many pastry and staple drink options. The service is friendly and they make sure you know where everything is so that you're not hunting for straws or additional napkins. Very nice touch, especially since it was my first time there!Overall a really great place to read or do quiet work!
