Busy spot even on a Tuesday night - make reservations ahead of time or put your name down early. I got the mountain yam and quail egg dish, which was pretty delicious, though I did not realize that the mountain yam would just end up being a thick clear goop at the bottom of my bowl and the quail egg would be extremely runny. For a spot in a restaurant so spacious and upscale-ish, the prices were not bad at all!

We went to Raku for lunch on Saturday at noon. As a person who loves Japanese cuisine, I was excited to go try the food at Raku. I started off by ordering a yuzu ginger tea, but I did not really enjoy it. It did not really have much yuzu flavor and had a ginger aftertaste. The main flavor was more like a Chinese tea. This udon place is a 10/10 for me! My friend is an udon fiend and she consistently brings out-of-town guests here because it's her favorite. She always gets Niku and I got the spicy Niku. Taste-wise, the noodles are soft and chewy, and the broth is deep and perfect. Portion size is great and I was full by the end. The bowl and wooden spoon were a great touch.
