Comfort Food Restaurants near Ossining, NY

“I don't usually write reviews on Google but I feel compelled to write in support of Lisa, Dan and The Tasty Table. My husband and I are frequent weekend guests at The Tasty Table because we like the food and the way we are treated as guests. I've noticed some less than positive reviews focused on difficulties getting a table during their busiest weekend times. This should indicate to all who are interested in going to The Tasty Table of how wonderful a restaurant it is. My suggestion is to take advantage of the 30 minute call aheads that are offered. You won't be disappointed!“

“Celebrated our son’s 22nd birthday here tonight. Perfect spot for a pub on N. Division St., in the heart of Peekskill. Everything was wonderful from the service, to the apps , to our meals. Nathan our server & bartender was great & very attentive. He even made a special drink for my 78 year old mom who is quite picky & she loved it. The rest of us were drinking beer as it goes well with the wings & Nathan kept it flowing. The wings were the best, we tried the Buffalo & the sticky Asian. Yum! The pretzel bites were a big hit too, very soft & tasty & we loved the pierogis! Some of what we ordered : the slider stack, the chicken & waffle stack (cool presentation), & the mother clucker chicken sandwich. Everything was delish & everything came out piping hot! We were a party of 5 & we all said we would definitely be back! Kudos to Nathan & Whisky River!“

“Awesome, my sister has been telling me how great Tasty Table is, finally I was able to visit. It was really an excellent experience. The place has a great vibe, the food is great !!!! The service was kind and very knowledgeable. The owner is a sweetheart, very hard-working and very pleasant, she really shows such a passion for her restaurant. We went without a reservation , the place was packed, so we waited a bit, which is totally expected when a place is as popular as tasty table. This place really has it going on !! The mimosa flights, coffee flights, avocado toast, cauliflower, breakfast pizza all delish.. this will be me and my sisters go to place when I visit..“

“Service was excellent for a part of 10, and appetizers were very good. Everyone's entrees were enjoyed by us. Very nice place to dine, I highly recommend you come and try it out for yourself. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at the rear of the building.“

“This is a good restaurant to go to if you’re on a budget and you’re craving some authentic Latin food. The portion sizes are huge, they can feed two people but some dishes can even feed up to three. The locals who frequent this restaurant are Hispanic men who go there mostly to drink, needless to say the beers are also inexpensive. The locals won’t bother you, they mind their own business. If you aren’t familiar with Latin culture, just know it’s not out of the ordinary for locals to announce hello and or goodbye/enjoy your meal to everyone in a place as they enter or leave. Especially if this place is small, like this restaurant. The waitress was a little inattentive but other than that my wife and I enjoyed our experience.“
