“If you enjoy thin crust pizza like NYC style, then Capones is where you want to go!! I love mini pepperoni and a crispy crust! I’ve had pizza from a lot of places around here & my tummy is so happy to have this place nearby, I’m just pissed I don’t have any leftovers for the next day! Go get you some.“
“Everything was exceptional The servers were charming, knowledgeable, attentive. Cocktails were great. Dinner was incredible. I had Terre e Mare and it was a feast. Scallops were huge and dlicious. The chicken was moist and delicately seasoned. My wife's salmon was perfectly cooked and was a generous portion. Will return with pleasure.“
“Thus place is terrific. Unfortunately we had not taken the time to research this place or we would have been here sooner. Great menu and portions. I'll eat just about anywhere that has a Kramer portrait on the wall and a leg lamp at the entrance. We'll be back.“
“I must say! This is by far the absolute BEST Italian Restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to dine at!!! The appetizer was plentiful & delicious-greens & beans & sausage!! One of us had soup & ravioli-perfect!! Two of us had lasagna-the best I ever had!! Seriously! The dessert-amazing. The house red cab wonderful! The gentleman (owner?) very kind, attentive, amazing!! I cannot wait to return!! I would rate it 10 stars. 5 is far too few! Thank you for such a delicious meal on a snowy night!!“
“Peels On Wheels does great vegan pizza! The toppings are extremely high quality. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but they had this kind of sundried sweet red bell pepper that was out of this world. I had that New York style with shallots, banana pepper rings, and vegan pepperoni. The owner works in the kitchen alongside his employees and really cares about producing superior pizza. Their pies are so much better than what you'll get ordering from a chain!“
“Enjoyed an excellent meal last night with my wife. Berry salad was the perfect starter. Lobster ravioli with white wine cream sauce and langoustine lobster tails was scrumptious. I had the cioppino special and the broth was spiced just right for dipping with the garlic bread pieces. Clams, calamari, and mussels were tender and tasty. Salmon was a nice addition. We let our server make several wine choices that we enjoyed. Service was excellent and attentive. Pistachio cake dessert was a nice finish. We will return soon to try the honey lemon scallops and several of the shareables.Highly recommended!“
“Been to the Pizza Shoppe several times in the past month and a half. Let’s start with service. Fast, friendly and fantastic. I got my pizza nice and hot each time and my chocolate chip cookies were to die for. Seriously, maybe the best I have ever had.I have had several different varieties of this Detroit Style Pizza and it is second to none. It is now my go to for Pizza without a doubt.I also love the small pizza shoppe atmosphere not like one these chain pizza shops that has no personality. It was quiet and pleasant to just take a seat and enjoy my pizza. Hoping to try their chicken parmigiana in the near future.I don’t give many 5 star reviews, however this was an easy one to write.Great Job to your team at The Pizza Shoppe.“
“This was our first visit and it was fabulous. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and just nice to chat with. Our server, Kathryn, was awesome!! Love her. I had the moussaka and it was wonderful. Great flavor! Hubby had the wolf fish/scallop special. Again, delish. Cocktails were great and we got desserts to go. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!“
“The food is outstanding. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and prepare the simple dishes with care. I've had the creative pizzas and salads a few times, and my husband gets the sandwiches. It never disappoints! It's a fast casual experience with a very small dining area, so consider takeout as your best option if you have a larger party. A great addition to the N. Winton Village and the Rochester food scene!“
“A great dinner at Fiorella tonight. A cozy spot by the public market, this went under our radar for a long time until some friends recommended we give it a try.The food was incredible (for the most part), as well as the service. We came unbeknownst to us on gnocchi night (Thursdays), and the pizza special was meatball which we had to try. My main, the sausage and polenta, was absolutely delicious. I watched a lot of the chicken cutlet dishes come out while we were waiting and was wondering if I made the wrong choice, but I definitely didn't. Next time I'll definitely give the cutlets a try.Dessert was also killer. The lemon cookies with a scoop of the sweet cream gelato were incredible. One downside and what I am seeing on other reviews that I can corroborate is the Cacio e Pepe was just bland pasta and some cheese. Visually this dish looked amazing so I'm not sure how it missed on flavor so bad. A minor blemish on an overall wonderful dinner. Can't wait to come back here.“
“Excellent meal last night. We dine here 4-5 times yearly, we enjoy Italian/American and it's always superb. Our meal on Friday during Lent was another winner. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very big as always. Our server Samantha was spot on, not only with serving but her suggestion to me was great. My wife had Codfish Picatta and I had the Seafood Chippino. So good, my wife took home 1 whole piece of the two served of Cod and I had plenty of leftovers from a bowl loaded with delicious seafood. Many things make this place a must go; great food, nice atmosphere, big bar, white linen tablecloths and napkins etc. Prices are very reasonable as are drinks. Little thinks like our server taking our leftovers to wrap instead of bringing us containers to do it ourselves and the owner (Donna) being on hand to insure our satisfaction means a lot to us as frequent diners of many establishments and kind of sends Perlo's to the top echelon. I guarantee with their extensive menu, you will not be disappointed.“
“Title: Taking Toddlers for Italian! While dining with toddlers is always a messy experience my daughter and I were in the mood for our FAVORITE Italian food. Proietti’s is family run and they always make you feel welcome. They hurried our service along to accommodate our little people who were a hit. Multiple patrons said how cute they were and stopped to visit with them. The food is OUTSTANDING! Huge portions and delicious flavors. We called it a night shortly after the 1 year old started sucking spaghetti straight off the table with his face. Needless to say he loved it too.Did I mention they use a paper liner over their white table cloths? Now you know why. As always I can’t wait to go back for more chicken French!!“
“First of all, I love their pizza. On my top 3 list. What was so special was that they helped us with my daughter's gender reveal. Also because the owner made the pizza himself for this occasion and used the sauce to make a G for a girl. All the staff came out to help us with this celebration and they were all so kind and thoughtful. They said it was the first time they ever did a gender reveal and on the spot too. Let's not make it the last!“
“First, the food took its sweet time getting to us and the meal timing was off. My guest received their meal 13 minutes prior to mine. The food is absolutely delicious and the service/hostess/waitress were extremely nice. I love the Lost Meatball Ragu pasta dish but it’s a bit pricey at $22.00. All in all, a great experience. Perhaps they can tune things up a bit and work on those price-points. 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Lucano is truly a gem in Rochester, there is nowhere else like it! The service is so warm and friendly and of course the food incredible. They always have a great list of rotating specials, I highly recommend trying the frito misto and barramundi specials if they’re available!“
“Great local pizza place. Really love their buffalo chicken calzone! Not only is it just spicy enough, but they make some of the biggest calzones around, packed full with juicy buffalo chicken. Their pizzas are also really good. The only thing that sucks is having to drive all the way to Mendon for this terrific food. Very much wish the Victor location was still open!“
“I've been here many times. Probably the best Italian food anywhere around Rochester. Food is always amazing, I'd recommend the chicken French. Service is fast and always very friendly. It can get busy during the dinner rush but if you get an early dinner you can avoid “
“Double date night! Wedge salad was excellent. A little heavy on the crumbled blue cheese and creamy blue. My boyfriend had the house salad to start and an iced tea. Split a funghi pizza with double chicken Vanilla crème brûlée to top off the night with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I also had the basil martini. I don't typically drink. I wanted to try something new. It was phenomenal. Our friends had the Risotto and Chicken Marsala. A few glasses of wine later and they had a great time and meal. The service was prompt. It was a busy Saturday night around 7pm. We will be back soon for another yummy dinner! No pictures this time around. We were enjoying time with our friends.“
“We had Mozzeroni cater our basketball banquet. The food was delicious and it we didn't have much food left. Their customer service was wonderful. I will use them again and again to cater any event that we are going to throw in the future.“
“Limoncello has been on my list to try for a while. I was finally in the area and am really glad I went! The restaurant is huge inside, with mutiple rooms and sections. We went on a quiet Wednesday night and were seated in a patio type room. Our server Carolyn was friendly and accommodating. The drink list is extensive, with numerous cocktails, beer, wine, and non alcoholic choices. I had a paloma and my husband and I started with the artichoke french (tasty). For dinner, he got the gnocchi with vodka sauce and peas and I got the Portobello pappardelle. They both came with a small salad, and we got the limoncello dressing at Carolyn's suggestion. The meal was great, I had enough leftover for lunch the next day, and I'd order all of it again. I'm not in East Rochester much but this restaurant is worth a drive.“
“I judge every restaurant by their Caesar salad….they passed the test! Also, HIGHLY recommend the Fig Blossom cocktail. The balance of flavors was perfect. It was very refreshing & laid back. Not overwhelming with sweetness or acidity. Made for a great double date! It’s very busy & noisy, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s clear that they are a hit with locals!“
“Extremely impressed with how delicious our food was tonight. I highly recommend if you have not tried the Garlic Pit you need to order right now. If you have been here before you need to order again… NOW! No question about it. Thank you so much guys!“
“We found this café through my Seed Oil Scout app. We have come to Rochester for the eclipse and I just purchased the Seed Oil Scout app so I thought I would give it a try while we're traveling. This restaurant was recommended as a safe choice and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious! I got the Paleo salad with beef tenderloins. The beef was perfectly cooked, better than most steaks I've gotten. My husband got chicken Parmesan and loved it. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. We are so glad that we canceled the reservation that we had over in the Finger Lakes and decided to just stay closer to the hotel. Excellent decision!“
“Ok so if I could eat at this restaurant every day I would ! I have lunches catered though them a few times a month & let me tell you the raving that goes on at the office every time they cater! I have used this restaurant before and during Covid and now and their quality never dropped! They are always on time if not early their food is delicious!! The owner is so kind and caring. I love this place its my go to not only for work but also home. I had them cater my daughter’s birthday party, my friends shower and work events !! Honestly probably the best place in town do your self a favor and try them“
“You should just see how busy this place gets on a weekend and rightfully so. These guys rock when it comes to pizza. they have alot of people working inside and are ready to take to your order either by phone or in-person. I tried the buffalo chicken pizza as it was recommended to me by alot of people in the Rochester area and it didn't let down...wow. I cannot wait to come back down and have some real pizza where they are not afraid to go heavy on everything. I wish more pizzerias in Canada could take notes ?(Ps we don't have platter sizes up here and it breaks my heart)Thank you everyone & see you soon“
“We stopped here on our way home. We had a drink and nothing to eat so my review should be viewed in this context. As a gluten free person (have some serious allergic reactions) i had very little to choose from which is why we only had the drinks. The service was amazing, friendly, polite. The restaurant felt a bit old and in desperate need of a refresh. I haven’t been to other Olive Gardens so it’s something that might apply to the franchise. Will I go back? Not on own accord but this says nothing about the awesome people that work there.“
“This was my first time eating food from here (i got take out) and the atmosphere was beautiful and very peaceful. The hostess was so polite and very kind. The food was very good and good size portion. The bread is so good also. The gentleman that brought out my food was very polite and kind also.“
“Lunch on a Fri afternoon was very good. It was leisurely because they were short a server but they let us know before seating us. We enjoyed our Chicken French and Haddock French entrees preceded by a crock of French onion soup and delicious Italian bread that tasted homemade. Will return for dinner in the future.“
“I was in Rochester for a business conference and decided to try this place out. The bartender was amazing, with fabulous food, a great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. I had such a great experience that I decided to dine again on my last night there. Every experience has been wonderful. I highly recommend it.“
“A big favorite of ours. Fish fry Friday is a good deal and the best haddock around. It can be crowded so you will need a reservation. Expect to pay for the entrees and specials. We got a bottle of wine 2 entrees desert and coffee. $75 per person.Vegetarian options: Quite a bit of the menus does not include meat or fish. I am not vegetarian but like to eat meatless meals. I've never asked about the ingredients in the sauces.Kid-friendliness: There is always families with kids and they give a choice from a prize basket. Kids have to sit at the table as there is no place for them to run.“
“We have been here several times. Food is usually very good but not consistently. Stairs from the parking lot is a challenge for anyone with aging knees - one handicapped in front not sufficient. On recent visit, the chicken french and gnocchi were great. The shrimp scampi pizza ($22) disappointed - maybe 2 medium shrimp total. Wine and cocktails a bit pricey but good selection. Recommend the Sicilian Manhattan.“
“One of the best pizza places in the area and by far the one with the best deep dish. Consistently solid food every time we order and have never been disappointed in anything we've tried (ever gotten breadsticks from somewhere and been sad they weren't good? you don't have to worry about that here!) Staff is always friendly and always busting their butts to get orders out fast. Just wish we lived closer so I could order more often!Parking: Parking is just off the street and near the back of the building. heads up that the lighting is pretty bad here.“
“Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and owner and welcoming regulars at the bar as you walk in. Good specials and knowledgeable waiter who was their chef before. Food was solid but toast was overcooked and burnt. Serves until 10 so good for a late night dinner.“
“We went on a Thursday night and I was eager to try the Thai food. I was very impressed with the chicken massaman curry which was really YUMMY!!!! It had exactly the right gentle heat and was so flavorful. Their chicken massaman was so much better what other Thai restaurants in Rochester serve. My husband loved the minestrone soup and got a hearty portion of chicken fettuccini for his entree. He loved that too. The waitress was so friendly and checked on us several times to see if we liked the food and if we needed anything else. Overall, the combined Italian with Thai food actually is the best of both worlds. We will be back again!!“
“The food was ok, my niece ordered a pizza, ended up eating 1 piece and throwing it out, i had shrimp cesear salad and it was good, my sister had rigatoni with meatball, that was good also. I also ordered wings for appetizer, they came baked, i believe and smothered in onions, not sure why , but i guess thats how they come. They tasted good, onions not needed.“
“We LOVE Two Ton Tony's! It's our favorite pizza place as a family, and we're also treated like family. :-) The food is always delicious and consistent. We've also had some catering, and it was wonderful too. It's mostly a place for take-out, but you can dine in too. The Two Ton Zaa is really special. When we have a big party, it's always a hit getting these HUGE pizzas, and guests rave about the taste. <3 We'll never forget the octopus pizza (pepperoni and olives made up the octopus) that they made for our daughter's birthday. We love Two Ton Tony's!Kid-friendliness: It's very kid friendly! They even have holy cow cookies, Ice cream, and candy for purchase. There's also a couple of arcade machines in the restaurant too. <3 Check out the fun mural while you wait, or say hi to Tony! He's great at remembering people by name!“
“We were a party of 3 on Easter Sunday with a reservation at 4:30, once we were seated we were served water and bread, Dinner order was taken at 5:30, 2 cups of soup and a salad were delivered, we ended up waitng until 7pm and still no entree were delivered (90 minutes) we were told a couple of times that our entrées were on the way, 7pm no entrées, another party of 3 directly across from us that was seated shortly after we were seated had been served their full meal and finished. Shortly after 7pm and no entree we decided the waiting 90 minutes was much too long so we got up and left' Being Easter Sunday and after 7pm there really weren't many places to go gave dinner, so home it was and soup was mine and my 91 year old father's Easter Sunday dinner. will never step foot at Nick's Saebreeze inn again. Thanks for ruining our Easter Sunday!“
“Server Meghan set the tone of our evening with her friendly, prompt, and diligent attention to detail and excellent service! Branca is a beautiful space in an awesome location. The food is Italian cuisine and it is done so very well. Fresh ingredients prepared with elegance and style. Highly recommend Branca Midtown. And Meghan“
“So, my niece was looking for a place known for their Prime Rib and was having a hard time. She remembered that years ago she had a good meal at Charley Brown's, so off we went. We found the place packed on a Saturday night. 3 of us chose the Prime Rib and I chose the Turkey Dinner, which was very good (except I didn't care for the stuffing). The others were mixed: 2 thought it was good and the 3rd thought it was mediocre. Therefore, the 4 stars.“
“When planning our wedding we realized we would love to have pizza there and thought what better way to do it then to have a pizza food truck. Tuscan Wood Fired Pizza was the truck we went with for this and it was a huge hit. Tony was great to work with and everyone loved the pizza! He also brought a wooden pizza peel for our guests to sign which is now hanging in our kitchen. We love it!“
“We have been to Lucca's Northside Kitchen a few times, and the food has always been very good. I had the "French Connection " special, which was enough for 2 meals. It had 2 pieces of Chicken French, 1 Veal French, and 4 Artichokes French. All on top of sautéed spinach and pasta. It was delicious ? My husband likes their chicken wings. Our server, Karen, was very nice. Matt, the owner is there to make sure everything is perfect.“
“Overall, pretty good! We had the chicken Kabob with mango habenero sauce and a side of fries!Chicken itself was mediocre, but the sauce was delicious!! I wish it had more than just a drizzle but I get why it doesn’t at the same time. Definitely will have again for the mango habenero.“
“Best subs nxt to Philly hoagie in Western NY, best Italian lunch meats shredded lettuce onions just like in Philly and their pepperoni balls are to die for Frozen in a box awesome every single thing I've had there has been five star and they're corned beef Reuben on a sub roll is the best I've had other than New York City Reuben, keep it up Rubino's next I'm going to try your dinners as I am a widow alone and tired of buying Wegmans and Marie Callender's dinners that don't taste like homemade thank you and your service is fantastic as well“
“I have ordered from this location a few times now after moving from Greece to Webster. Let me tell you because i know my damn food, this place and the way that it’s ran with great staff and fresh food is amazing. It’s not the cheapest, and with quality food and staff i don’t expect that. They have some great deals and i can’t say enough good things. Food is amazing from appetizers to wings to pizza and it’s always hot and fresh. Keep up the awesome work!“
“Service and prices are great, the Salvatore 's special pizza was a bit oily but tasted great. The crust was quite chewy but that's ok. Every pizza has its own personality and that was this one's. Speed was another plus, it was ready in 20 minutes .“
“Overall a very nice experience. Our guests enjoyed their meals and the ambiance Service was excellent. Too noisy for us however. I had requested a quiet table when making the reservation but from what I can see there are real no quiet tables based on the layout Nonetheless it was a pleasant meal“
“Whenever my parents come to Rochester to visit, we go here. The meatball is so good like I crave that meatball at times. Chicken Parmesan is pretty good. The penne Al a vodka is a little spicy but it’s Okay. The people are very nice to us the bread is great. Will continue to go to Benucci’s :)“
“I was looking forward to the lobster egg rolls since the reviews sounded good but they were disappointing. Crunchy on the outside but pretty flavorless on the inside. The dipping sauces helped save them. I had the Sheppard pie special which was good but my wife ordered the striped bass. Full of bones which they should have warned her about and her asparagus was very overcooked.“
“The food was great as was the wine. Dinner took a long time not because our food was slow to come out ... it was not. Our server disappeared for large gaps of time so we waited for her .... Never asked if we wanted grated cheese ... which we did. Waited about 15 minutes after we finished our meal for her to come back to see if we wanted anything else. Food was great!“
“Rosey's is absolutely charming! Very cozy and intimate. Feels like you are eating at a loved one's house. I had their chicken and artichoke French combo with angel hair and it was delicious! Their greens and beans appetizer was also very good; very garlicky so be warned ?.I will definitely be back soon to try out their other menu items!“
