I had my birthday dinner here (party of 10) yesterday and it was such a great experience!! The restaurant looks nice, the reservation was ready on time and the food was perfect!! We made a late decision to go to Polizzi's after visiting the MAG. So glad we did. Ignoring the blah ambience of Village Gate's passageway,once inside the ambience was most warm. We were served promptly and attentively and warmly (a tough combination for some places). We had a tough time choosing from the menu and specials (as in I wanted almost all of them). Polizzi is our most favorite restaurant in Rochester!! Amazing food, very friendly service. Mushroom risotto, Neapolitan, vegetarian meat balls are superb!!! I wonder sometimes why people don't coke to this hidden gem more often considering food and ambience and service is sooo good.
