“My pictures don’t do the justice they should. This was a fantastic meal. Local 111 has a small menu and everything is a winner. My wife and I shared the chicories salad and the croquetas. Then I had the fish of the day, which was trout, and she had the chicken which our waiter, Mariusz, said was his favorite. We are definitely coming back here!”

“Only have been here a handful of times but each time I couldn't complain. Philmont has needed something like this for a long time! Growing up there meant no fresh veggies/produce/ meat in town so it's nice to see a place like this. Many organic and local options :) there's a food truck outside as well”

“Weary traveler looking for some good pizza. This pizza restaurant was A+. I dined in and service was great. I ordered 2 slices, pepperoni and sausage. Quality of the ingredients was definitely on the plus side. I struggled to finish the rwo incredibly topped slices. It was hard to stop eating but it was so good. Nice crispy and tasty crust with more than adequate toppings. Would highly recommend.”

“For the sake of full disclosure I’ve worked with the owners for over twenty years in the television industry. They have brought the same dedication and amazing attention to detail that has resulted in their tremendously successful careers, to their wonderful new restaurant. They have thought of EVERY detail from the whimsical videos playing in the rest rooms to the sugar cubes for your espresso... they have missed nothing. The menu is inventive and perfectly executed... Watermelon Gazpacho?! Whoa! The unique presentation of the Calamari appetizer was wonderful. Bouillabaisse?! You don’t find that as the seafood option very often... what a treat. Others in my group enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks and the slightly smoky Mac & Cheese. Of course the cheese plates are spectacular. This is one of those meals you won’t forget! But wait did I mention the speakeasy downstairs? The perfectly appointed room features an amazing menu of craft cocktails AND six draft beers to choose from... including Ommegang Rare Vos... you simply don’t find that on tap anywhere!! Finally a word about the service. It was impeccable, perfectly attentive without being stuffy. Chris and Ellen have created a destination restaurant!”

“My husband and I got married here on NYE 12/31/2023 and stayed on site with our family and friends for the weekend. We had an amazing experience during our stay and an even better experience with the Wedding! It is such a unique space with even better service. Henrietta has an amazing eye for decoration and is extremely organized and easy to work with. The food is incredible...actually incredible...and they were flexible with our guests accommodations. “Upper Depot hosted an informal get together for graduates of Claverack Elementary School this past Friday. The food, drinks, and staff were all awesome. “We had a most extraordinary Sunday brunch at The Maker Cafe yesterday. We were there by chance, around 1 pm, and are so glad we found this lovely spot with a most attentive staff. We're not spring chickens, and we much appreciated the help getting seated, the delicious butternut squash soup, the fabulous eggplant alla parmgiana sandwich, the broccoli salad. Thanks to you all - we loved it, and we look forward to coming to the restaurant some evening soon.”

“This review is long overdue. Bar Bene is our favorite spot to come to when we are in Hudson. They have a beautiful backyard firepit and a great wine/charcuterie menu, which combined make the perfect relaxing evening. The owner and employees are all so friendly and warm. What a fabulous place!”

“Great Jamaican Food!!! This hidden gem in Hudson/Greenport is the place to go for authentic Jamaican dishes. The owners, Randy and Anne are delightful and really care about the quality of the food they serve. I've had every dish on their menu and each one has been delicious. Portions are generous with both lunch and dinner sizes at reasonable prices. My personal favorites are their traditional Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken and Oxtails. All served with rice and peas, plantains and veggies. In colder weather they offer a hearty soup with traditional Jamaican Spinner dumplings. Whenever they have a "special" dish I always give it a try and have not been disappointed. Just yesterday they offered a special Barbeque Chicken which was sweet and savory. I certainty hope this becomes a dish they offer regularly.They are open on Wednesdays and Fridays and are my go to place for take out Wednesday dinner. They serve out of a stationary food truck with plenty of onsite parking. Food is packed for take out and there are picnic tables with umbrellas if you'd like to eat there. They are located up on the hill overlooking Fairview Ave just a bit south of Bagel Thyme. Stop by, check it out. You will not be disappointed.Parking: Lots of easy parking.”
