We've got Pittsford's top Mexican restaurants covered for you.
“So, so good! Parking lot behind restaurant, super cute casual spot for tasty, authentic Mexican food! Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the birria tacos with sides of rice and refried beans, birria quesadilla, Mexican bowl, elote corn (a little too sweet for me), horchata drink, hibiscus Agua Fresca, and tamarind agua fresca. After we ate we shared a piece of flan--outstanding! Cannot wait to go back frequently. Owner Jesus and the other male staff (I didn't get his name) were beyond friendly.“
“Peach Blossom is a hidden gem in the city! It is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall stop for REAL, homemade Mexican food. The chef is Oaxacan and her son Marco is really personable and has a wealth of knowledge about the preparation of their food. Both Marco and his mom are extremely personable and we were delighted to taste the fresh tortillas they make IN HOUSE! Since moving to the area from San Diego 13 years ago, I have been searching for anything close to real Mexican street food and this is the closest I've gotten. Do yourself a favor and go get yourself some tacos, rice and beans! We can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings.“
“Beautiful atmosphere. Great service. Everything was clean and neat. The food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. Loved it. Had the Birria tacos. Tasty. Great portion sizes. The refried beans had flavor and everything was delicious.“
“It was apparent that the new owner Vickie wants to change the whole vibe and not for the better. She could care less about accomadting you with options & if you have any food allergies. I do not recommend Nosh, not the same restaurant and feel its a turn for the worst. One out of the four meals one was acceptable we had 12/14/2023.The waitress very sweet but felt she was as frustrated as we were. Vickie the owner made no effort to accommodate us and was almost rude.I will pass this along, is a small coummiity in Rochester. Any postive reviews you read are prior to Vickie taking over restuarant.“
“Very nice decor inside the restaurant. Chicken and beef fajitas were good but lots of onions and peppers compared to the amount of meat. Guacamole appetizer was good but looked a bit small. I think it was the dish used because it lasted longer than I thought it would.“
“The birria is killer. The pastor burrito is killer. Great variety of margaritas. Suspiciously fast service. If someone asked me to recommend a Mexican restaurant that reminds them of grandma’s cooking, this would be it. Highly recommend 10/10.“
“First time there - the food is AMAZING! Some of the best food I’ve ever had. So reminiscent of El Ricon, but yet different. Huge and intriguing menu. The quesadillas are so delicious as are the sopes, & chile rellenos..the flan is creamy & caramel and the chocolate dulce de leche is sinful. If you haven’t been - GO… does not disappoint! I’ll be back for sure.“
“Nice little dive. After our museum trip we were starving! Needed to find a place that offered vegan/vegetarian options and this fit the bill. Upon entering we were greeted by the bartender and then seated. Our server was super sweet and made sure our cups stayed full.I had the shrimp tacos, wife had the vegan Mexican plate, one kid had the enchiladas, one had the cheese quesadilla and the other had a beef quesadilla. As an appetizer we had the chips and salsa, We all really enjoyed them, they were seasoned and delicious and the salsa was a chunky obviously house made version. What was left my son ate with his quesadilla.Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan “meats” and cheeses.Parking: Parking is right beside the building.Kid-friendliness: They don’t have a kid menu however they do have high chairs.“
“WOW! Excellent service, delicious food, fun decor ... what more could we ask for! My husband and I visited on a Taco Tuesday and our server Hannah was amazing. We started with house margaritas that had a sugar rim. They were very refreshing and there were fresh blueberries in his drink. When we asked for a sampler of dipping items for our corn tortillas, Hannah was quick to let us know she would "hook us up with all the things!" The kitchen did not disappoint. We had hot, melted queso; salsa Verda and Roja; along with guacamole. The street tacos were also filled with flavor and my personal fav was the Al pastor tacos. We got the special deal of the day which was 4 tacos for the price of 3. It was memorable and we would highly recommend! Viva Taco Tuesday!“
“It's a nice little place, the customer service was great, but I wasn't too thrilled with the vegetarian enchiladas which absolutely had no sauce on it, very little cheese if any and only on the top not inside. The corn tortillas weren't cooked, they were just dry and the rice was just white steamed rice and there was no Mexican rice and the beans were black beans, which I was hoping for refried beans which is more authentic, from my experience. Most Mexican restaurants give you free chips and salsa with your order (hands down) but margarita charges 7+It's a bit disappointing, but it is what it is .If you really want authentic Mexican food go to a little hole in the all in sodus point off old ridge called El Rincon, it's amazing and the son has a similar one in canandaigua....I'll definitely be back to margaritas, but I'll have to try something else next time ?It was good, but it wasn't exactly authentic Mexican food, not from what I'm used to living in California and in Tennessee“
“True to it's name, Neno's has an outstanding offering of Mexican street food, rich in flavor. This is not your Americanized fast food Mexican. This is the real deal. The service was friendly and the restaurant was decorated with beautiful murals.“
“I paid about 17$ for the birria tacos. I ordered for pick up over the phone. They said it would be about 10 minutes. When I got there the food was ready. The guy over the phone was very friendly. The birria tacos come with chips and salsa and rice and beans! This was my first time trying the tacos and it's not my thing so I will be trying something else next time I come here. Food was really fresh and I can't wait to try some more items on there menu.“
“We've been meaning to check out Aguilera's, so glad we did! We got delivery through GrubHub so we still haven't been in to eat, but the food was absolutely stellar. We ordered basic chicken tacos, birria tacos, and el pastor tacos - chips, salsa, and a couple of churros to top it off. Everything was outstanding. Crazily enough my favorite thing was the rice and beans that came on the side. Typically a "filler" dish, the rice and beans was absolutely stellar -the beans part was more like a thin sauce, but it was so flavorful I will definitely be ordering extra next time. Everything was really flavorful, well seasoned, just a damn fine meal.“
“We visited Rochester from Philadelphia for a family event and were blown away at how good the food was here! The space has a nice vibe to it as well. The Baconita burrito is hands down the best burrito I have ever had.Do not sleep on their sister brand Madd Macs either. We opted for the classic mac and loved every bite! Will definitely be visiting here again!“
“Warning: Not written by AI. This place has homemade FLOUR tortillas. I'll say it again. THIS PLACE HAS HOMEMADE FLOUR TORTILLAS!! What?! Let's just talk about that for a sec. Can you name any other Mex. Restaurant that does? Maybe corn but not flour. It takes time and a steady hand... which is why you dont see it often. Plus this place has a killer Carne Asada plate (their fajitas is a classic carne asada plate). And oh, their guacamole, is all 100% avacado. Some places play with it a bit too much. I guess you might say I'm a guac purist. How in the $%#@ is this place getting just 3 stars? Because there are some who have embedded large sticks in their ass. They would be a lot less fidgety if they just take it out and have a blended margarita with salt on the rim. Gretta and Mo are great! Thank you and in the immortal words of James Brown- "Please PLEASE" Do not stop making those beautiful, soft, luscious, and perfectly curvy in all the right places tortillas.“
“First time here and it was a great experience. Quality for price is evident by its popularity with families and young adults. I had baja fish tacos and partner had chimichanga. The meals come with chips and salsa. We both thought the generous portions were absolutely delicious. The salsa was nice and spicy, all ingredients were fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend for casual, high quality Mexican.“
“Best Mexican food I have had in New York! I am from Southern California, just moved here. I was craving some good Mexican food and had yet to find it. I will be back, regularly. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Mexican food.Chicken fajitas, delicious!Guacamole appetizer, delicious!Don’t go anywhere else, come here. It’s worth it.“
“Went with a group during a lunch break right at opening. Very cold inside, but probably because they had just opened. Service was quick after we told them that we only had an hour break until our next meetings. Food was wonderful. We all got different things, brisket, carnitas, vegetarian, tacos, enchiladas, nachos. Margaritas were so strong.“
“I felt like I hit the lotto when I saw this place and pulled in for a closer look. I've been there several times over a month. Best Mexican food in Rochester. Found out they have three locations and I see why. Street Tacos omg. Chix/shrimp w sauces and sides off menu blew my mind, who are these people ! Lol. Runs like clock work when really busy with happy employees with no bad attitudes anywhere to be found. Presentations are amazing. Kitchen is run with serenity and good taste and excellence to quality and perfection and I am the pickiest foodie in town. If I have 4 million views on my photos on Google Maps and they read this I suggest everyone stop by and enjoy these magically chefs out. Peace. Tom Wedeman here reporting from East Ridge Road :)Parking: Looks packed but it's a big place inside so you will get a spot so go in .Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Nice place. Amaizing food. As a Mexican food offer, not to much selection of food, but the ones were very tasty. Alcohol was a varierity of coctels some good and others not so good. Atmosphere: place is pretty in the inside but music was not so good.“
“Obsessed. I love this place so much. My favorite order is 3 carnitas tacos. I love the cheese dip. I don't think there is anything bad on the menu, but the tacos are heaven.Kid-friendliness: My son is a picky eater. They have a kid's menu with chicken fingers and french fries that is (unsurprisingly) excellent. There are other items on the kid's menu also.“
“Very cute low key happy hour next to the fairport canal. I met a friend there the other night for a drink and shared entree. We opted for the nachos with Shrimp. They were pretty good. Pretty garlicky. Big portion. Definitely enough for the two of us. The chairs at the bar are a little small but we did love the atmosphere. I would go there again because I do love the location.“
“Stopped in for a late lunch. Plenty of seating. No wait for a table.I had the Monte Albany burrito with steak. Good size burrito and lots of steak.Service was good, attentive waitress. Worth a trip back.First trip - I had takeout. The chicken soup is always excellent. Lots of chicken, love the avacados they add. Burritos are very good. Would like a little more cheese on top.“
“Large plates to share, variety of flavors, amazing drinks and desserts. I swear we tried half the menu and it was ALL superb. Great service (props to David on his first night), nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms. Definitely returning for the rest of that menu!!“
“We got a taco bar delivered for a party and it was such a hit! An incredibly easy way to accommodate all food preferences and allergies as everyone could customize their meal completely. They do not scrimp on the toppings! The customer service was also excellent and delivery was on time, hot, and packaged well. Both Dave and his brother were so helpful giving us serving tips and any information we needed. Incredibly appreciated!“
“Had a great lunch today with family. A table of 7 were seated immediately with water and menus already on the table. Our order was placed within 5min of sitting down and food delivered 5 min later. I got a lime margarita and the la changa with beans. It was delicious. Other family members ordered the carnitas and elote. Will definitely return. Yum!“
“First visit to Dorado for lunch. My wife had chicken enchiladas, which she loved and I had a tofu chimichanga. Food was delicious all around. Rice and beans were so much better than your typical mexican restaurants, and their homemade hot sauce was quite tasty. Our waiter/bartender was charming and attentive.“
“This is my favorite Chipotle location. They have generous portions and everything is always accurate on pick up orders. In person the staff are always friendly and very quick and seem to have a great rapport with one another. The overall attitude seems positive and cheerful. You can tell the management values their employees and takes the time to train them and ensure adequate staffing for busy times of day.“
“Best happy hour ever since the pandemic. Came here on Friday at 5, and enjoyed $2 beers, $4 margaritas, $3 guacamole, and $5 half order wings. Happy hour is in dinning room till 6 pm too, which is rare. Food was great too. Loved the wings and Crunchwrap. Ended up spending $50 before tip for our date when usually we’re spending $100 on a Friday night. One of our couple friends we early done with on Fridays will be going with us soon!!“
“Everytime ive ordered theyve gotten my food to me in a timely manner and never forget or mess up ingredients. A lot of taco bell locations ive been to have, but theyve been a trusted location for me. I dont eat meat anymore so I typically sub meat for beans.Vegetarian options: Veggie power bowl, fiesta veggie burrito, cheesy bean and rice burrito, cheese quesdilla, potato soft taco, black bean chalupa, cheesy gordita crunch sub meat for beans or rice.“
“Having lived all over the country in the past few decades, and having eaten at countless Taco Bells over that time, this is the single best one I've ever been to. From the staff, to the cleanliness, to the speed and accuracy of orders, I've yet to find a single thing to nitpick about. Truly a top notch location!“
“The last time I went, the girl had so much patience with me it was a nice change. Usually I have someone who acts annoyed that I ask even one question so I was thankful for that. The order is never correct if I order more than a couple things. Always forget my cheese for the chips & cheese or any side dips needed.“
“Drinks: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 7/10 This is a fantastic spot and a welcomed addition to the Village of Pittsford. A fun but small place that has some really creative and interesting drinks. They have a myriad of different margaritas and tequila cocktails as well as all of your favorites. Personally my favorite cocktail in general is a Dark n Stormy, and they do a very good one here. They also have a pretty decent beer selection with a lot of local breweries such as Other Half, Prison City, and Young Lion. Oh also they have a pretty decent bourbon selection from time to time, definitely check to see what they have. Service, I believe this place is owned by a couple. They are very friendly and know how to efficiently run a bar that offers fairly complex drinks. Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Being totally honest, the ambience could be better, it is a very small intimate spot. This place certainly fills up fast on busy nights. I usually recommend grabbing drink or two here before you go out to dinner somewhere else.“
