“Came here with a large group and ended up trying a bunch of stuff. For apps, the shrimp tostada and crab dip were alright. The salmon salad was rather simple, but the salmon was cooked very well. Everyone raves about the chicken n waffles. I had a N.A. Negroni, which is basically a 0 proof liquor, with botanicals and I was quite impressed. Service was pretty good.“
“I like this Branca location best. It's a nice atmosphere but also not too elite fancy. For me I enjoyed the variety of appetizers better than my entree but it was all pretty good too. The pasta had a different texture from what I'm used to but I think it was the sauce. Also our server was very nice and attentive.“
“I've been having breakfast here two times a week for just over a month and I love it! I can't speak to the midday or afternoon offerings, but the early morning experience is everything I want in a cafe: Fantastic food that demands my full attention, fresh coffee that is flavorful by itself, and enough space to find a cozy corner. It's not a surprise that this place has become part of my weekly routine, and I hope it stays that way for a long while.“
“The amount of time I spend thinking about Okay's chicken tenders and fries and all their dipping sauces is actually a little bit embarrassing. I am a chicken tender lover at heart, and a french fry connoisseur, and these are some of the best, if not THE best, in the greater Rochester area. The cocktails are also ALWAYS delicious and very creative. First came here about a year and a half ago and at first the beer was a little underwhelming (we used to joke that the the place had "okay beer") but they really seem to have come into their own in the last six months or so on the beer front and we're really enjoying the beer too!!Great vibe in the bar area, fun to bowl if you're interested, great outdoor space in the summer. My favorite place to recommend to friends or meet up with other couples. Love, love, love.“
“As a chef for a fine dining restaurant, I give Edibles Restaurant a 10/10. I have not been able to eat anywhere since before March 2022 since that was the last time I was off from work to go out for dinner. I am so thrilled that I was recommended this fine establishment with the most down to earth, kind, and most hospitable team members. I very much enjoyed the lobster ravioli and my friend enjoyed the flank steak. Thank you for this amazing experience and I look forward coming again and recommend all to check this place out!“
“Great bar with a cool vibe and an awesome staff. Really great thoughtful selection overall including a solid beer list. They had an inventive yet unpretentious cocktail list. I ordered a cosmo with a local cucumber vodka, which was perfectly balanced. My partner got their bourbon cocktail which was seasoned with allspice bitters. I also had to try their espresso martini which was one of the best I've had, great flavor and intense coffee notes enhanced with a hazelnut liquor. Their staff was also incredible and very attentive. Go here asap!!“
“Nice little restaurant. I didn't think there was anything stand out about it. I've been here few times, it's close to work and convenient. I usually get the Reuben and Arnold Palmer. It's got robot, that's kind of neat.“
“I was in the mood for a pastry and coffee and came here. The setting with some tables, a counter against the wall, draperies, photos & paintings creates an appealing ambiance to sit and chat with a bunch of friends or just sit quietly to sip and eat your meal. It has an ample menu of cocktails, sandwiches, and a few pastries, coffee, tea. I really liked it.“
“This place is nothing short of amazing. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and the staff are top tier. I would highly recommend their smash burger (make it extra fancy), their latke frites, and any of their craft cocktails (though puttin' on the razz is my favorite!).“
“Lucano is truly a gem in Rochester, there is nowhere else like it! The service is so warm and friendly and of course the food incredible. They always have a great list of rotating specials, I highly recommend trying the frito misto and barramundi specials if they’re available!“
“The food here is really good! They have a limited menu, which allows their food to be delicious. They even have a vegetarian option, which I feel like you don't often see on limited menus. Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times without being over the top. The inside of the restaurant is nice and quiet...easy to have a conversation.“
“This is a great little place that I had no idea existed. It’s in the lower level of the old green lantern or Mr. Dominic’s restaurant as I remember. Cozy atmosphere great selection of wine and beer with excellent service and some light snacks and charcuterie definitely recommended for a pre-dinner cocktail.“
“Asked them to accommodate a party of 20 people in a week and they did! Convenient location. Plentiful parking. Venue itself is lovely. More importantly the food is delicious and the service was phenomenal! I definitely recommend and will be back! I wish I could remember our servers' names because they were awesome. Get the Brussels sprouts dish! So yummy!“
“Excited to have visited the new location! I had previously only been when they were down by the farmers market. Friendly staff and a tasting gets you $5 off a bottle. Highly recommend the old fashioned no maple syrup (not much of a sweet drink person).“
“We were in town for the Eclipse and hadn’t made dinner plans. We popped in to Lentos and they were very accommodating for our large group. The food was excellent and with the service to match. It was an unexpected gem and would definitely return next time I come to Rochester.“
“My husband and I stopped into Hatties after dinner at Char Steak and Lounge. It is a very nice cocktail bar, and the views of the city are amazing from the outside balcony. It was a cool night, so we didn't go outside on the balcony. However, I did get a picture of the fire pit just outside of Hatties entrance. The decor is really nice and kind of has shades of a fancy speakeasy. The bartenders were very friendly and told us about event options that Hatties offers. We will definitely come back for cocktails with family or friends.“
“The birria is killer. The pastor burrito is killer. Great variety of margaritas. Suspiciously fast service. If someone asked me to recommend a Mexican restaurant that reminds them of grandma’s cooking, this would be it. Highly recommend 10/10.“
“My wife and I were here for the weekend and had drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the Studio Lounge. Espresso martinis, cocktails, and all of the small plates were absolutely amazing! Hale, the bartender was awesome and explained all the drinks to us and provided great service! Would highly recommend studio lounge for anyone looking for a great restaurant and bar in Rochester, New York!“
“I love the Daily Refresher. The cocktails are always excellent and the service is great. The charcuterie board is huge and is the best in the city. I do wish they had more food options/larger plates, but everything I have had there has been really good.“
“Despite sound dampening affixed to the ceiling it was difficult to hear anyone else at our small table. The room was full and some customers seemed to think they were at a roller derby, but.... We will avoid weekends in the future. Food and service met the usual excellent standards.“
“A wonderful experience from start to finish. Fantastic service, top notch cocktails, and everything that came out of the kitchen was wonderful. The pot roast was out of this world. Thanks to Drew and everyone at The Classic for a great evening. We will definitely be back!“
“Never thought I would be saying this, but…I’m darn near speechless. What a heavenly experience I had at Swan Dive!Pizza was the best I’ve ever had! EVER! It only took 45 minutes to come out, too! You’d think pizza of that quality would take DAYS to make!!!Give these mfs their doggone roses!!!!!!!!“
“Aesthetically, probably the coolest bar in Rochester. Plus the employees are great. And sometimes if you’re lucky you’ll see this one older guy there who plays the piano, he’s really impressive.I love their drink the Hydesville Haunt. The shrimp & grits is always very good too. ?“
“My husband and I went last night and had a wonderful experience; the food was incredible and inspired me to write this review. The beef on weck, the vesper burger and the Moscow mule were absolute stars. I plan to tell everyone I know to stop by.“
“Perfect meals, perfect service wonderful atmosphere! Had the burger, the cutlet, french onion, the simple salad, the gnocchi, the seared cod, and the cheesecake! And lots of cocktails. All were superb! Can’t wait to go back! What a gem!“
“My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Pane Vino on the Avenue last night. All the staff were attentive, starting with the gracious hostess, the knowledgeable waiter, Nico, and the bus staff who filled our water, gave us more delicious bread and packed our leftovers to go. The food came out hot, fresh and delicious! The waiter made wonderful menu recommendations and always checked in to see if we needed anything. Start to finish it was top notch! Thank you!“
“We were referred by a friend who was recently there & loved it! Our friend has kids as well, so he told us to check it out & we did! We thought we'd surprise our kids there for dinner & games, totally cool right?! We really enjoyed our meals! I got salmon & hubby got short ribs, & I was eating off his plate! The portions were big! The kids enjoyed their meals & it was really different & fun! Atmosphere was quiet on a Tuesday night but we were busy playing games to notice. We all played games & had a fun night! I'de go back!!!“
“It's a nice little place, the customer service was great, but I wasn't too thrilled with the vegetarian enchiladas which absolutely had no sauce on it, very little cheese if any and only on the top not inside. The corn tortillas weren't cooked, they were just dry and the rice was just white steamed rice and there was no Mexican rice and the beans were black beans, which I was hoping for refried beans which is more authentic, from my experience. Most Mexican restaurants give you free chips and salsa with your order (hands down) but margarita charges 7+It's a bit disappointing, but it is what it is .If you really want authentic Mexican food go to a little hole in the all in sodus point off old ridge called El Rincon, it's amazing and the son has a similar one in canandaigua....I'll definitely be back to margaritas, but I'll have to try something else next time ?It was good, but it wasn't exactly authentic Mexican food, not from what I'm used to living in California and in Tennessee“
“Love this bar! The drinks are amazing, great music, love the atmosphere and the fun variety of games add extra entertainment making it the perfect bar to hang out at. Staff are wonderful and extremely attentive. I would highly recommend checking it out!“
“Had a great time tonight! Kocktails were delicious, food was great, service was solid. A bunch of my friends got together and we loved the ambiance and vibe upstairs. The only tricky part is the parking. Do NOT park in the lot behind it - you *will* get towed.“
“First time there - the food is AMAZING! Some of the best food I’ve ever had. So reminiscent of El Ricon, but yet different. Huge and intriguing menu. The quesadillas are so delicious as are the sopes, & chile rellenos..the flan is creamy & caramel and the chocolate dulce de leche is sinful. If you haven’t been - GO… does not disappoint! I’ll be back for sure.“
“Delicious food! Order it on grubhub all the time, and decided to try dining in...Think I'll stick to grub-hubbing it.The one bartender made great drinks but was miserable looking the whole time. Not a single smile, didn't ask how anything was, barely spoke to us... kinda just glared and made us feel uncomfortable, total vibe killer.Compliments to the chefs, tho, cause that food is delicious!“
“Server Meghan set the tone of our evening with her friendly, prompt, and diligent attention to detail and excellent service! Branca is a beautiful space in an awesome location. The food is Italian cuisine and it is done so very well. Fresh ingredients prepared with elegance and style. Highly recommend Branca Midtown. And Meghan“
“Nice place. Amaizing food. As a Mexican food offer, not to much selection of food, but the ones were very tasty. Alcohol was a varierity of coctels some good and others not so good. Atmosphere: place is pretty in the inside but music was not so good.“
“Went with a group during a lunch break right at opening. Very cold inside, but probably because they had just opened. Service was quick after we told them that we only had an hour break until our next meetings. Food was wonderful. We all got different things, brisket, carnitas, vegetarian, tacos, enchiladas, nachos. Margaritas were so strong.“
“Great place if you have dietary preferences. Gluten free and dairy free. We had a wonderful server named Lori. She was prompt, friendly and informative about menu choices. Only thing that was a distraction was the music from the kitchen line. Heard over the restaurant music and explicit.Dietary restrictions: The best gluten free menu in town. Plenty of options to choose from.“
“Whenever my parents come to Rochester to visit, we go here. The meatball is so good like I crave that meatball at times. Chicken Parmesan is pretty good. The penne Al a vodka is a little spicy but it’s Okay. The people are very nice to us the bread is great. Will continue to go to Benucci’s :)“
“I am from South America and I have struggled for the longest time about missing local food. Condado does a great job with their Skirt Steak rice and beans! Do yourself a favor and get the tostones and empanadas too. I have always gotten it delivered so not sure on the ambiance but food is awesome!“
“My second time at LOCALS ONLY eatery/restaurant located at East Ave/Alexander St.An unique clean intimate location & welcoming restaurant with an awesome food menu & 'out of this world' cocktail section. The staff are friendly & hospitable.Must make a reservation!Free parking with RSVP!Prices are reasonable.Awesome environment!Vegan friendly.Parking: Parking accessible with reservations only.Wheelchair accessibility: 2-level restaurant; wheel chair access“
“First visit to Dorado for lunch. My wife had chicken enchiladas, which she loved and I had a tofu chimichanga. Food was delicious all around. Rice and beans were so much better than your typical mexican restaurants, and their homemade hot sauce was quite tasty. Our waiter/bartender was charming and attentive.“
“Thus place is terrific. Unfortunately we had not taken the time to research this place or we would have been here sooner. Great menu and portions. I'll eat just about anywhere that has a Kramer portrait on the wall and a leg lamp at the entrance. We'll be back.“
“Found Revolution while visiting relatives. Ordered the orange beef and was very happy with it. Good flavor and generous portion. I will definitely be stopping back to try anther dish. Though I didn't eat in, there is a nice setting / eating area inside.“
“We came here for a business dinner from out of town. The hostess adjusted her seating chart to allow the 5 of us to sit at a nice round table vs. a booth which we very much appreciated. Sam waited on us and this was nothing short of white glove service. The smiles, laughs and expert advice on the menu and available wine bottles made us feel so well taken care of. The food was perfect from start to finish for all patrons present. A slight mix up at the end of the night with a take away lost for our guest of honor resulted in Sam securing us an extra short rib and mash potatoes of course to close out a perfect evening. Sam is the best! Thank you to the Char team for a wonderful evening!“
“We visited the restaurant with our daughter and 4 friends for Easter Brunch. The location, food and service were terrific. Service was great (always had someone at the table before our water or lattes were done), the food was worth its cost (portions were large and we all had leftovers for later in the day). Will definitely be back next time visiting our daughter in Rochester.“
