“We came here with Mommy a while back. It was lunchtime. They had a line to enter the restaurant. Wow, that must be good. We ordered a whole Peking duck, pan-fried noodle seafood, sauteed pea leaves in garlic sauce, and fish filet with mushroom. I enjoyed the fish filet and sauteed pea leaves, which were the best dishes. Peking Duck was not bad and the seafood pan-fried noodle was so-so. However, Peking Duck was less crisp than the place I had in Chinatown. In short, everything was delightful! If we return, I really want to get that pea leaves again. This vegetable rock! Fish filets differed from what I had expected. One thing about Peking Duck is that they gave unlimited buns to eat with, but there wasn't much meat left because they filet the duck without leaving the bones for the customers. It's better to order a few filets of Peking duck rather than a whole duck. The place is a huge, two-floor restaurant. We had a table downstairs, which was pretty spacious from one table to the other. We'll return to try some other dishes and vegetables. Nice!“
“Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“
“I really enjoyed the sour pickle fish and sweet and sour pork here. There’s also something for everyone, my mom’s vegetarian and we got the cauliflower dish for her and it was very flavorful. For dessert we topped it off with their bing feng and it was really refreshing. The service was also very fast and accommodating!“
“Excellent gong kong style brunch style noodle and congee spot, and perfect for rice dishes and Chinese vegetable and simple sautéed Chinese style beef and seafood dishes. I enjoy coming back and doing take out for those days I don't feel like cooking!“
“Wandered in here at 2:30 in the morning when everything else was closed. Got the mapo tofu and some dumplings and it was fantastic. Service was great too. I have quite literally never left a review for any restaurant before, but had such a positive experience I wanted to spread the word.“
“Dinner here was scrumptious. We never had fresher or tastier sashimi, not to mention great miso soup, salad and tea.. The staff is delightful and very attentive. Thank you for the wonderful experience & the sweet Valentine's Day rose!“
“Shoutout to Nan Xiang Express for their friendliest crew! The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome! The pan-fried pork buns are juicy and crispy, while the soup dumplings burst with soupy goodness. We will definitely come back.“
“The food was great! General Tso’s chicken lunch special was reasonably priced at $12-13 and it was plenty of food! The water was ice cold and refreshing, which isn’t always the case. The service was great as well. I would recommend it to anyone passing by.“
“Strange that this place doesn't appear on maps unless the restaurant filter is active.. this is a solid Cantonese restaurant. Large variety of dim sum, noodles, and rice dishes. Service was great. Food was good. Nice and quiet seating area when we visited at high tea time (Tuesday at 3pm). Will definitely visit again to try other menu items.“
“This place is TAKE OUT only. We ordered cucumber with garlic sauce, beef noodle soup and crab meat xiao long boa. Cucumber had good better flavor towards the bottom where it was marinated. Overall very good and refreshing. Beef noodle soup was okay. Beef was a mixture of tender and dry. Good flavor though. Xiao long baos are a mouthful. They do have juice. Skin is handmade which give it a good texture. It was a little too thick. If you like that then this is your spot. If you live near by, I definitely recommend!“
“Dumplings are pretty good here. They have so many different kinds of dumplings and so many different varieties of colors which makes it kinda fun and pretty to see. The ambience is pretty cool and somewhere I would like to visit again. The service is pretty good but I also want to emphasize that it does get busy sometimes so I guess be prepared and maybe find an off time to go?... just a suggestion lol“
“Really great food and dim sum! I've eaten here at least twice a month for the past half a year and I'm always satisfied with the meal. Definitely try the triple meat meal to kind of hash out what meat they make is your favorite (I love them all).Pork buns, dumplings and fish balls are great too. Just do yourself a favor - order!“
“Visiting Flushing and were looking for lunch and get out of the cold. Came upon Dim Sum Garden and decided to give it a try. Ordered Walnut JUMBO shrimp in sweet mayo sauce and Salt and pepper calamari. I told the waiter to ask the chef to go easy on the salt . Plates came to table and they were beautiful. Very large portions and delicious. Service was great. Big menu for dim sum and another one for meals with rice and soup. Great place to eat and they have delivery and takeout.“
“Came here with a few friends, and it was great. It gave diner vibes with great Asian food. We ordered a little bit of everything on the menu to try things out and by the time I left here I was stuffed. Everything was delicious and I wishwish I could've tried more. My son had the fresh watermelon juice, which he really enjoyed. Everything was so good that I forgot to take any photos. I definitely recommend stopping by here.“
“Placed delivery order, food was packaged nicely & taste great !! (Good portion size) They are open late which is a plus ! Vegan selections are separate on the menu which I appreciate. I would definitely order from them again. Loved it! Try them out...Enjoy“
“Delicious food!!! Not a long wait for the order. They always offer free bun or dumplings as a starter. Everything is very fresh and super delicious. I have lots of favorite dishes there. I am always trying to get something new. Real Asian food. They take cash only, but you can pay by Zelle or Venmo as well. Highly recommended.“
“Got the steamed pork buns and dumplings for takeout and nothing beat the price!! The dumplings was gobbled before we could even take a picture! There is a small space for you to eat but you might not be able to sit if it’s a busy time..you can always do take out. Paying cash is the way to go as well, I didn’t even ask if they accept card..“
“This Chinese restaurant was converted from a dance and Spanish food palace. Now the Crown One was the second Chinese restaurant in the same location. They are serving dim sim (small snacks) during the lunch hours.....of course we can have a banquet. The dim sims are very ordinary small dishes which I mean no new adventures at all.Parking lot is big enough for about 40-50 cars. Only velvet parking, guys are polite and park cars with caution. The restaurant is adding 18 percent on top of invoice plus tax as their service tips.“
“First time coming here, the service was exceptional. The person helping me was so friendly, attentive and kind I really appreciated it. Very nice and clean looking kitchen with open concept so you can see what's going on. I got an order of just the teriyaki chicken which I liked, I just find the sauce has a strong soy flavor I think, which can be a little much. Otherwise it was delicious. Generously sauced which is good because sometimes places put barely any. Fast service.“
“Solid dim sum place that you can order to go/stay casually at the counter. It' not a place where you come and there's carts around but rather you look at the menu and order a la carte for takeout typically. Everything is pretty fresh as a result and the lady behind the counter was super nice despite my broken Chinese, lol. It's a small place with a few tables.Always gotta get the shrimp rice roll which was fresh, QQ, and had small/medium pieces of shrimp, as well as the shrimp chive dumplings which were nicely crispy all around. Have come more than a few time as I grew up in the area and love bringing my friends here who are not familiar to dim sum and when we just want a few items like on a food crawl instead of committing to an entire dim sum experience.“
“I thought dim sum palace was the king of all dim sum, but I was wrong. Asian Jewels is my new to go to dim sum. Clean, noisy and damn good fresh dim sum. Get there earlier or you will be waiting for a while to get a seat and driving might be a nightmare in the afternoon since it is in flushing Queens. Again, this is only for dim sum review, I don’t know about lunch or dinner but if it is as good as their dim sum, I don’t think you can go wrong. Price is a bit higher for plate of dim sum but this is nyc, what did you expected?“
