Having lived in Astoria almost 20 years, I've had the pleasure of dining on delicious Greek cuisine, and Taste of Gyro is one of, if not the best Greek food I've tasted. The chicken souvlaki platter has THE MOST flavorful, juicy chicken with incredible fries (that are spiced and cooked to perfection). Stopped by to grab take out. It is a very cute Greek restaurant and spacious. I ordered two pitas one with chicken souvlaki and one with lamb gyro. Both were so delicious and came filled with onions and fries. I saw a lot of other Greek patrons and it's definitely a neighborhood joint. Would definitely come back and try other items. The owner was also very kind and the service was quick.
