“As seen on Eat Local Ny, this was our first stop in Rochester from Syracuse today. This place is legit. My son and I ordered the breakfast platter for 2. “We drive 45 minutes for dinner every couple of weeks or as often as we can and it’s always worth it. There’s nothing bad on the menu. The wings are our favorite, the chicken salad is my 7 year old daughter’s go to. the subs, the cheeseburger plates, the pizza, all the condiments and sauces-just try it all. This unassuming place from the outside pleasantly surprises once you enter with its quaint bar area, blacked out ceiling and twin open kitchen stations. First litmus test is the quality of bread with a full complement of spices to prep your own dipping oil. Check! Special of the day, Seared Halibut on a bed of risotto, didn’t disappoint, nor did my samples of homemade Rigatoni à la Bolognese (just like Mom’s Sunday sauce) or the Chicken Milanese! Completed the meal with an ample slice of homemade Ricotta Cheesecake with Berry Compote. The owner checked in with us several times. The table service was perfect. The glass enclosed wine cellar in the middle of the dining area completed an impressive ambience and dining experience. Run don’t walk to this most pleasant gastro treat!”

I do not recommend Nosh, not the same restaurant and feel its a turn for the worst. The garden side salad was perfect combination of vegetables nicely prepared. My guest ordered the cottage pie all I can say is wow and it was also said to be very delicious and beautifully done. I haven’t been in some years it was pleasant to be back. The bar drinks looked amazing as well! You can’t be disappointed here! Our server Hailey was friendly and provided great service. I booked them because the manager Joe was sooo friendly, responsive, and helpful right from the first communication. The food was awesome and we got nothing but compliments the entire time. Their staff was quick and organized and everything ran smoothly. They weren’t expecting tips from any of our guests which was unexpectedly generous but they absolutely deserved them. there was a piece of bacon on it, which leads me to believe, because I asked for no bacon, that they put it in and then took it off.
It was not busy at all and this particular Sunday evening, and it took an extremely long time to get our food.
The call ahead for a reservation and they will be able to see us all in a round table for a party of 8, which was nice.

The only thing I was disappointed in ( which wasn’t any of these peoples doing) was my porterhouse steak. For the money, it should have been a nice cut. It was an end cut, one that even some stores don’t use…let alone a very upscale restaurant. It was also supposed to be med rare n was med. I didn’t send it back because st least it was pink, but it was well past med rare. My crab cake was very good. The lobster and crab mac and cheese was also very good. I’d definitely recommend and go back. Just not sure if I’d get the porterhouse again. Probably go with just the filet.”

“I took my elderly mother here for lunch with my 15 year old because she has been craving Italian and it was close to where my mother lives. We couldn't stop talking about how nice of an atmosphere it was!! There was road and parking lot construction and since we weren't use to the area , we didn't know there was a ramp to help my mother, but every staff member was so courteous and friendly helping my mom and my 15 year old get them both in (while I went to park the car). The excellent customer service didn't stop there......... throughout our meal, water was filled up and they especially made sure my mother was comfortable! Nestled in a city neighborhood, this place is delicious with a super cute patio. Food gave off an "Old School Italian American" vibe in the best possible way. We enjoyed flavorful housemade meatballs in a great sauce. Burrata was tasty with the most delicious charred tomatoes (we omitted the prosciutto at one diner's preference). The salads were just the right size if you wanted to have those and split a pizza, which two of us did. The Funghi Pizza was tasty and had just the right amount of truffle (some places go overboard). This was a super hit -- very crave-able! For our pickier diner, the Spicy Cup Pepperoni Pizza was the perfect option. Both pizzas had a nice crust, baked nicely, and a perfect amount of cheese. Service was friendly and attentive. Everyone greatly enjoyed the meal. We'll definitely return.”

They were easy to work with, gave us a great deal and checked in a few times to make sure everything was on schedule. When I arrived for pick-up they greeted me at the door by my first name with smiles just like I was family. They also helped to load everything into my trunk. A few days after the event they even checked in to see how everything went! This is how you run a business! It’s hard in 2023 to find an establishment with that kind of class and professionalism. “This is a 5 star restaurant. Absolutely superb ingredients and immaculate orchestration of them. The short rib beef and biscuit was phenomenal. Poached egg was done perfectly with yolk that walked out of the white, rather than ran. Biscuit was brown and flaky with buttery and salty goodness. Nailed the strawberry danish real proper like with flaky and soft pastry and wholesome compote. Came back for dinner a few days later and the scallops were delicious with the perfect juicy and soft (but not raw) texture. It had a basil and herbed beats that I could eat—and I don’t eat beats. Ricotta cnocchi was so damn smooth it slid down the gullet with ease; no heavy chewing or rich resistance. Haven’t even had the pork chop I ordered yet but suspect it will be on point. Regardless, the delivery of all the above warrants a 5 star rating. Highly recommend. Mad props to the chef and cooks.”

The ricotta appetizer was incredibly and reminded me of a favorite dish in Florence Italy, and the swordfish was perfection. My only reason it's not 5 stars is that we had a weird miscommunication with he server. 2 people at the table asked for a side of churros and the other had chicken and churro entree. The server came over and said that they can't do the churros and so the person with the chicken and churros ordered side of fries instead and they 2 others with the sides of churros asked for sides of bacon instead. Fast forward, all of us got our entress instead of 1 person. They waited 15 minutes longer than everyone else. Then all of a sudden 3 sides of churros came out. The server said ok the kitchen is trying these. So now at this point everyone had their replacement sides and now 3 sides of churros. We assumed they "were testing them" since that's what the server said and they would be on the house since now that's too much food. But when we got the bill we were charged for the curros and the other sides. It was just confusing overall with the communication on that and then also we got charged for sides and the cjurros when we wanted 1 or the other not both. The manager, which I think is the owner was very nice and they comped the churros. It sounded like the server told them that we didn't like the churros, but it was more of the principle of being charged. Would definitely go back, I would never hold a miscommunication against a restaurant, but just wanted to voice a few things. Overall cool new spot”

The rest of the service staff didn’t come until closer to 6 and all the tables and bar were full. She didn’t skip a beat. She recommended my new favorite roll of all time, south beach. I also ordered the sushi bar salad and asked if we could get an extra bowl. They split it and presented it so beautifully! I wish I had a picture. This is also now my all time favorite. I asked Erin for oil and vinegar and cheese for my bread she brought it all out. Erin stopped by several times for refills on drink and more cheese and bread. She did an awesome job. “The most amazing dessert spot I’ve stumbled across. They have SO many options. I normally get the Dubai Strawberry cup (TO DIE FOR, ITS SO GOOD) and the best chocolate shake ever that they make with real Hershey ice cream🤤 then a piece of carrot cake to go. My husband gets the Biscoff milkshake, red velvet cake cup, and a strawberry banana smoothie to go.”

“Small cafe tucked in on Monroe Street, my first visit, personally I only go for hot tea, but today I went for hot sweet, boiled, frothy milk, dusted with cocoa, and some sugar gummy like square in a tooth pick, on the side. I was biting this sugar cube, in between my sips of milk. This cube had flavor of rose water and kewra, a familiar taste for me, it's used for flavor in sweet things in India. It was fun. I loved the place, quite, simple, place.”

“☀️🍜🥢 We checked out ROC Pho Shop today over near RIT. It’s a cozy little place with a lovely patio. We tried shrimp tom yum soup, papaya salad, fresh and fried spring rolls, brisket pho, and pineapple fried rice. Everything was fantastic. This may be the best pho that we’ve tried in Rochester! Service was great as well.”

“IM OBSESSED! Its so cute and quaint in here. The person working was super nice, the matcha was super good, and the cherry jam pastry was TO DIE FOR. Like i dreamt about it. if i lived closer id come every day. there was also a small selection of trinkets and books that were really neat! And i really appreciated the single stall bathroom. overall the vibes were unbeatable and i felt very safe in there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“I have taken my son here once and then my boyfriend last night. This is an ideal spot for literally anyone. The atmosphere is so calm and inviting with beautiful traditional details. The food is exceptional with tons to choose from and it’s reasonably priced. We left full and relaxed with leftovers. Highly recommend!”
