“We used Caramel for our wedding desserts! My husband and I had a special connection to Caramel, since we had a lot of date nights there, so we knew we wanted them to be involved. They were very easy to work with. Very responsive over email. We did a little tasting box and were able to pick exactly what we wanted. We picked up the desserts the day before the wedding and they were ready on time. The mini desserts were perfect for what we wanted for our guests and SO delicious. My mom won’t stop asking if we have more carrot cake truffles hidden somewhere! They also did our small cutting cake which was delicious. Highly recommend them!”

“My first time trying, about 2 weeks ago. I ordered a burger meal with fries, and the buffalo chicken mac and cheese (to go). Let me just tell you that mac and cheese was amazing, and it hit all the right spots😋 (i did not eat the burger, but was told that it was a delicious burger!!) Besides the food being delicious it was displayed in the containers as if it had just been garnished to go on a plate and out to the dining room. And the women who took my order, and cashed me out, was the sweetest!! She chatted with me while i waited for my order, and inbetween her customers, if i could remember her name, i would directly give her a shout out!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant, and i will definitely be returning!!”

“I recently dined at a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant and had an exceptional experience, largely thanks to an employee named Yamen. From the moment we arrived, Yamen greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, making us feel right at home.
The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with a lovely mix of traditional and modern decor. We started with the veggie combo platter, which was a delightful assortment of hummus, baba ganoush, and fresh pita. Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented.
Yamen was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations. I opted for the kofta kebabs, which were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. My dining companion chose the falafel wrap, which was equally delicious and satisfying.

“I went to Carmen’s cooking for the first time this afternoon with friends. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner Andy. He is such a friendly host! He took the time to point out what the foods are, what combinations they come in and answer any questions I had. The food was absolutely wonderful. It is authentic and down home Puerto Rican cooking. I was impressed with the food but even more impressed with Andy and his wife Carmen who own the restaurant. I could tell their hard workers and take their customer service very seriously. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Dietary restrictions: This place has great quality and reasonably priced food. Top of the top Halal food options in Rochester. Honestly, the Philly Cheesesteak was awesome. Lamb& chicken mix platter and falafel platter combos were also great. Their price is good and didn’t even ask for tip as food is not served for dine-ins, the space is also reasonable for dine-ins given that many people seem to order online only come for carry outs.”

Had the smoked pork sandwich with coleslaw on it. A phenomenal pairing Tried the bbq spaghetti which nearly blew me outta my seat!!! The bbq sauce was epic! @strangebird you need to shrink the size of the bbq spaghetti to a fries size and server them with the handhelds in place of French fries with that bbq sauce. Cuz heck yes! That bbq sauce on the side as a dipper 🤩🤩🤩. Great job to the staff. Bigger vehicles might wanna park on the street. If it’s busy, the parking lot is very narrow.”

“What an absolute gem! 💎 the best food (tapas) and wine selections in the area. They offer local to international wines, and the food is made to order and cooked to perfection! We’ve been twice and are going back with friends to share the experience. Our first time was taking our daughter there before she moved to Spain 🇪🇸 and again for our anniversary 🍾🥂. The shaved asparagus salad, grilled octopus, duck, corn dog and chicken shawarma were all excellent! I can’t wait to go back to try more!”

The food was good. We previously had a catered event with the barbecue package and it was delicious. Was hoping those items on menu but they weren't.
We started with the artichoke cristini app. It was so good...we fought over the last one. I had an Asian pork sandwhich with sweet potato fries; my husband had a pizza and 2 other family members had burgers. No complaints about the food. Good portion sizes. Hot. Reasonable prices.”

It was an end cut, one that even some stores don’t use…let alone a very upscale restaurant. It was also supposed to be med rare n was med. I didn’t send it back because st least it was pink, but it was well past med rare. My crab cake was very good. The lobster and crab mac and cheese was also very good. I’d definitely recommend and go back. Just not sure if I’d get the porterhouse again. Probably go with just the filet.”

Swiftwater is fairly family-friendly with changing tables in both restrooms (though I can only vouch for the ladies' room, where it's in the accessible stall!) but no high chairs that I've seen.
In terms of accessibility, there are no motorized doors so some folks may need help getting in, but there are also no stairs to manage.
Vegetarian options: Always at least one great-looking main!
Kid-friendliness: Changing tables in both restrooms, no high chairs, no kid-specific area but it's very casual and staff have always been great about us walking our baby around

Nestled in a city neighborhood, this place is delicious with a super cute patio. Food gave off an "Old School Italian American" vibe in the best possible way. We enjoyed flavorful housemade meatballs in a great sauce. Burrata was tasty with the most delicious charred tomatoes (we omitted the prosciutto at one diner's preference). The salads were just the right size if you wanted to have those and split a pizza, which two of us did. The Funghi Pizza was tasty and had just the right amount of truffle (some places go overboard). This was a super hit -- very crave-able! For our pickier diner, the Spicy Cup Pepperoni Pizza was the perfect option. Both pizzas had a nice crust, baked nicely, and a perfect amount of cheese. Service was friendly and attentive. Everyone greatly enjoyed the meal. We'll definitely return.”

They were easy to work with, gave us a great deal and checked in a few times to make sure everything was on schedule. When I arrived for pick-up they greeted me at the door by my first name with smiles just like I was family. They also helped to load everything into my trunk. A few days after the event they even checked in to see how everything went! This is how you run a business! It’s hard in 2023 to find an establishment with that kind of class and professionalism. The drink menu is super interesting to read, with a light intro into the origins of the spiritualist movement. And, you can ask to pull a tarot card to drink for whatever the universe calls for. Speaking of tarot, Seamus was on the corner doing readings.. and mannn was he legit. He has a reverence for the cards and life in general. I really appreciated his knowledge and outlooks. The owner, Jake, has put so much energy and heart into this parlor, and he runs it effortlessly. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you are into spiritual practices of any kind. My only reason it's not 5 stars is that we had a weird miscommunication with he server. 2 people at the table asked for a side of churros and the other had chicken and churro entree. The server came over and said that they can't do the churros and so the person with the chicken and churros ordered side of fries instead and they 2 others with the sides of churros asked for sides of bacon instead. Fast forward, all of us got our entress instead of 1 person. They waited 15 minutes longer than everyone else. Then all of a sudden 3 sides of churros came out. The server said ok the kitchen is trying these. So now at this point everyone had their replacement sides and now 3 sides of churros. We assumed they "were testing them" since that's what the server said and they would be on the house since now that's too much food. But when we got the bill we were charged for the curros and the other sides. It was just confusing overall with the communication on that and then also we got charged for sides and the cjurros when we wanted 1 or the other not both. The manager, which I think is the owner was very nice and they comped the churros. It sounded like the server told them that we didn't like the churros, but it was more of the principle of being charged. Would definitely go back, I would never hold a miscommunication against a restaurant, but just wanted to voice a few things. Overall cool new spot”

The ricotta appetizer was incredibly and reminded me of a favorite dish in Florence Italy, and the swordfish was perfection. The rest of the service staff didn’t come until closer to 6 and all the tables and bar were full. She didn’t skip a beat. She recommended my new favorite roll of all time, south beach. I had my 2 year old son with me and the first thing she did was bring him some goldfish and a tiny cup of fruit to hold him over until our dinner was here. I didn’t have to ask, she just did it. Told us about the specials, made some drink recommendations, and asked if we wanted our son’s food out first. We said yes. She got us everything we asked for, in order that made sense and checked in on us frequently. The restaurant was decently busy so the level of attention we got made us feel like we were the only ones in there. When we were about done, she brought us everything we could have needed to take our appetizers and dinner to go, again without having to ask, she knew based on how often she was checking with us and asking questions, that we wanted to take everything home. She did forget two drinks when asked a couple times but we had a party of 11. So it was understandable and her manager came to help. Hopefully kind about it towards her. I feel terrible I don't recall her name but she was a red head and was so sweet and patient. She even took our groups birthday photo at two separate times. The salad bar was fresh, tasted and always kept full it was delicious and I would go JUST for the salad bar. The drinks from the bar were on point as well and absolutely delicious. SO-SO- Parking is horrendous, so if you can't find parking you're walking a bit and paying for parking. Now for the BAD- We were sat in the back the farthest from kitchen. We bairly had and meat come back due to this. The closer to the kitchen they were going to them tables first. I really wanted Sirloin- I asked my server. Server came back 20 minutes she asked if they came. No. Server said something again. Still did not come back. Manager was told. Now we're onto almost 40 minutes of waiting at this point. Manager says okay. Manager comes back 15 minutes says it'll be another 10 minutes. It's finally did come. And all I can say is it didn't taste like it at. Especially when we told the server were more of a red meat table. The garlic parm Chicken was not to par. very salty as well and grizzle. Alot of the meat here is ALL SALT so be aware of that as well. The little bit of steak that came around earlier was SO salty you couldnt even stomach it. I'm really bummed because the one we went to several times in Canada was WAY better than this and they had a couple servers out with same meats so the whole restaurant was being attended to properly. I wouldn't come here for meat again, maybe the salad bar but honestly I think we'll save our trips for Canada. We had high hopes, and surely were not met. We were celebrating my mother's 49th birthday- the birthday plate written Happy Birthday was a cute gesture too. “Reunion of a few hockey players from the 1970's for lunch today . Our waitress was Molly and she was (Johnny on the Spot) from ordering to getting refills on our drinks . We were very pleased with the Tenders , French Onion soup and the Burgers ! Even the popcorn was great . The $11.99 lunch menu was perfect . Molly was one step ahead of us whatever we needed and it cost us about HALF of what we paid at Distillery on our previous lunch .
