I’m usually very pleased with my experiences at Black & Blue, which made this recent visit especially disappointing.
To start, our reservation was incorrect. I had specifically requested an upstairs booth, but we were initially brought to a regular table. After mentioning it, we were accommodated with a booth downstairs, which we appreciated — but it wasn’t what was originally requested.

Dinner for 4 on 12/5/25 with a reservation. It was a special occasion. But not so special. Two examples: My salad didn't arrive with the rest. My party's salads were already finished/boxed up when I received mine. No type of compensation was offered. And my entree of Mushroom Pappardelle was unfortunately bland. This establishment currently is not as stellar as its reputation, in my opinion. Sorry to see it go downhill. We dined there last holiday season and it was much better.
The atmosphere was was great. Our waitress Bella( at the Rochester one) was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly sling with our hostess and other table help. Was a great experience. The only thing I was disappointed in ( which wasn’t any of these peoples doing) was my porterhouse steak. For the money, it should have been a nice cut.
