“Finally tried Rosie's last week and can't wait to go back. This is easily the best Indian food I've had in Rochester. Only tried the Indian food not the Nepalese yet. Ordered 3 entree items plus samosas for 2 people and had lots of leftovers to take home. Prices are average these days, definitely reasonable for the food quality and portions. The decor is basic. The service was fine, no problems and they checked in with us about the food a number of times. I'll be back to try the lunch buffet soon!Parking: Large shared parking lot in front.Kid-friendliness: Casual place, I would not hesitate to bring kids here as long as they are adventurous eaters!“
“The food was fantastic, I’ve been looking for a local Indian place, coming from NYC I was missing a diversity of food. Was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food!! Got Chicken Makhini which is my favorite and it was very good. The naan was delicious. Will definitely be returning.“
“Enjoyed the vegetarian option on the buffet and had lots of flavor to the dishes. There were a lot of chicken dishes. The chicken Vindaloo was very dry. The Indian chow mein pasta dish was very good. Nanan bread was nice.Vegetarian options: Enjoy the chow mein, saag spinach, homemade panner was outstanding. Mushroom dish was excellent spicy to it.“
“All you can eat (AYCE), lunch buffet. FANTASTIC, every single dish is as tasty as you imagine. Hot chai tea and dessert are included. Family owned, with amazing service. Our family has been visiting for years, and they always remember us. Hope they will always be here!“
“The staff here is absolutely brimming with consideration and drive to give you a pleasant and friendly eating experience. The food is also so delicious it's hard not to eat yourself past full with the buffet especially with the made to order Naan that comes out piping hot within minutes of asking for it. Definitely recommend.“
“Easy to get to, decor is neat, super good music and the place is clean. The guys behind the bar were very friendly and very kind/patient as we bumbled our way through ordering. Their veggie samosa is SO good and their sauces are to die for! Seasoned, spicy, and has vegetarian options which is super nice. Will absolutely be returning when up in Victor again. ???“
“Great food & pretty good about dietary restrictions IME As someone with a capsaicin intolerance from severe GERD, you can probably imagine that Indian food doesn't usually get along with my stomach. But I love the flavors enough to occasionally risk it & ask for the mildest possible heat level (/no chilies). I ordered paneer korma the other night & was ecstatic to find a truly mild yet delicious dish (labeled "child mild" on the receipt); I could tell the cook understood my request to nix the spiciness without sacrificing the flavor of other *spices*, which I've found to be a rare occurrence. Thali of India has cemented its place as my go-to South Asian restaurant! Maybe someday I'll brave the acidity of tomatoes & try other dishes, but I'm quite content with the korma for now. Side note, my partner's mushroom mattar did also come milder than asked for so next time we'll have to be more clear about the heat level she's requesting“
