“I love the decoration, the atmosphere, the food was great and prices are very good. Everybody was friendly and my food came right away I was very hungry after partying a night before so that helped a-lot. The bartender Cynthia made me feel welcomed and informed me about all the specials and suggested to pick something from the brunch menu. The steak eggs and home-fries were to die for! neatly cooked and not old or spoiled (i know this because i cook at home regularly). I will be returning soon because I have 3 jobs and i'm always busy but with that being said 5 stars!“
“As a Peruvian I have been to a fair share of Peruvian restaurants and also recently to Peru as well but I have to say this place takes the crown for best chicken. The food is incredible and you can tell that everything is made in house. I absolutely loved the food as well as the experience and would personally like to thank the owners for making my friend and I feel at home. I will definitely be coming back with my family. Thank you!!!!!!!“
“We had a holiday dinner event..I decided to cater food from Los Amigos due to their reviews...how close it was from work. The food was Dedelicious... we all loved and enjoyed the rice... the chicken..wings... Empandas, everything was just delicious!I place we look forward to going on our lunch break now as well!!Thank you for such delicious food!“
“What a blast! The food, the atmosphere, the service and wow the drinks! We were killing time to head back home and met up with family that were already there. The fried shrimp dumplings was so good! And the wings!? Wow! The drinks by far were the highlight of the night. Were definitely going back with some time to chill.“
“This place is really different. I love the Vinyl when you come in. The hostess was pleasant and told us to wait at the bar. The bartender immediately came over and showed us how to scan the cocktail menu. The atmosphere is young and loud. The table service was amazing. The young lady who attended us made accommodations for us without a fuss. The food was good. The Sangria was flowing. Did not feel rushed. All in all a great experience. I live in South Jersey but I would definitely come back!!!❤️❤️❤️“
“1st timers and the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the comic book shpeal...all of it...we loved! However the music caan be a lil bit lower just cus it's brinner lol Now I doo wanna come a lil later to get my dance on cus the music was also banging! I came w a group of techs n nurses to unwind so thnx cus we did!“
“One of my favorite places in NYC.Food, Service and Ambience are always amazing here.Live music from local artist Thursday to Sunday. The secret to the success of this establishment is the staff. They are hard working, attentive, and always make you feel welcomed, like family. Bartenders usually know what you are drinking when you come back the 3rd time and are always quick to serve, even when there is no space at the bar. In the kitchen is the matriarch, Mama Henry, the Owners mother. She makes every sauces, flan, beans, and many more items from scratch.Happy Hours are from open to 7:00PM on weekdays, their sangria, margaritas are strong and on point and come in many fresh fruit flavors. Some must haves on the tapas are the empanadas, mofonguitos, pulpo, tostones and chorizo, bacon wrapped dates, canastitas de bacalao, for mains the churrasco, paella and salmon are amazing.I used to bartend here for 6 years and I never once was tired of the food, this place is like family to me.Truly a neighborhood gem.“
“My party of three came in on a Saturday night and we got some delicious food! For our starter we got nachos and they were great! All the sauces//veggies added great flavors! Then we got The Mac’n Portobello and the BX cheesesteaks and they were both delicious!! All the food tasted great and filled us up. The workers were very welcoming and friendly. The only thing we didn’t love was the vibe. We kinda wish it was a little more cozy. Other than that we had a great experience and will be back!!Vegetarian options: The menu is vegan.Dietary restrictions: Healthier choices“
“Havana Restaurant consistently delivers an outstanding experience! The customer service is exceptional, the atmosphere is always inviting, and the food is consistently delicious. It’s one of my go-to spots for lunch meetings with clients. I want to commend Manager Brandon for his exceptional leadership, and the amazing staff for their exceptional service. Don’t miss their fantastic Freestyle Thursdays event! Highly impressed with the overall excellence.“
“This restaurant used to be located more further down on westchester ave. It was called Monte de oro (gold mountain). I used to go there when I was a kid to a teenager. Then, it closed down. Thank god it relocated more up westchester ave. Under the name of el pabellon de oro (the flag of gold) It still had the same waiters & owner so I knew the food would be the same(delicious). It is a Chinese Spanish fusion. My go to dish is the steak w/ shrimp fried rice & plantano maduros(sweet plantains). Staff is ok. I like that the inside has a fish tank. It also has a lobster tank where you pick your own lobster. They had this in the old restaurant. The environment is just ok. I really came for the delicious food!!!“
“Living in the neighborhood we always get quick delivery once the food is ordered on the phone. In my pictures its the $12 Beef Stew Plate featuring yellow rice, beef stew in gravy sauce w/ potatoes and a cup on the side with red beans. Myself and my 14 year old young man always splits this $12 plate as you can see in the video. Delicious“
“Cuz I found out this place is this to the when I started seeing this place I started buying from it since 2000 I've been buying my Cuban sandwiches my rice and beans and my assorted foods and it's great it's never changes the people are nice excellent for our neighborhood we have something good every neighborhood got his own restaurants 188 has one and I appreciate it keep on doing good work“
“As always, I’ll rate each category individually because people have different priorities.Atmosphere- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The decor is beautiful, nice and modern style. Music is played a bit loud for my personal liking but this is considered a positive to some.Food- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything I and my party ate was full of flavor, no complaints. I had the jumbo shrimp al ajillo, I also tried fried calamari, bacalao spread, and dulce de leche from members of my party. In regards to drinks, my ONLY criticism is that the bar does not have soda on tap, it’s canned. This may seem like no big deal to some but it’s a personal pet peeve of mine. I did not have any alcoholic drinks, however the members of my party were pleased with theirs.Service- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff is very attentive, professional, and quick on their feet.Speed- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No complaints, the time it took for our food to arrive was satisfactory in the context of it being a larger party and on a busy Saturday night.Price- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Some of the entrees are a bit overpriced in the context of their portion size. For example, the $32 jumbo shrimp al ajillo being 5 shrimps with the tostones making up more than half of the dish seemed excessive. This was also the case of the burger (which was rather small, the fries making up the majority of the meal) as well as the ropa vieja.Overall a nice place for a date or family outing.“
“Customers praise our friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to make dining at Allen's Restaurant a truly memorable experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic dinner, or simply craving a delicious meal,“
“Celebrated my 32nd birthday with my home girls and the wait is insane if you're not there all together to be seated so make sure your RSVPs are there when you arrive and you have to arrive on time cause waiting for a table is crazy ...the food was bomb like wow the music and the atmosphere was really good the service was a bit off we would ask for something and get it 20 to 30 min laterParking: If you don't get there 2hrs before your event parking is impossible.Kid-friendliness: Kids were in here to my surprise but only for the birthday brunches and dinners after that they were gone because of the adult night hours“
“Their Super Bowl will be amazing because they have a lot of screens. I always recommend their roast chicken with any choice of side. Their Margarita with Flavor is AMAZING, all that food and drink for ONLY $11. You can't beat a great atmosphere. .“
“I decided to order off of the catering menu, after I sampled the Mac and cheese and lasagna at a friend's event. I already knew it was delicious based on the slither I had tasted, but my family and friends got to experience that same joy I tasted, at my daughters first birthday. So thankful for the quick communication, professionalism, and the delicious food of course. I'm looking forward to ordering again. Only blessed hands can make something so delicious ?. Thanks again!“
“Dined indoor for Sunday dinner. Great atmosphere for families or any occasion. Once we sat down we were offered either bottled or tap water. Drinks were delicious and presented nice. Had the sample platter that came with all their signature items. Gentleman explained all the components that were delicious. We weren't rushed, but sometimes our server seemed absent as he was also assisting the outdoor diners. The only downside was the dessert. We ordered their bread pudding that was yummy but so thick and heavy.“
“La Casa de Frida emerges as a stellar happy hour destination, perfect for those seeking a swift libation. Boasting two distinct happy hour specials--running from 12 to 5 and another from 5 to 7--the spot delivers not only variety but also affordability. While the drink specials shine, the culinary offerings fall short of the happy hour pricing ethos, presenting full-priced wings, quesadillas, and tacos. Despite this culinary mismatch, the prospect of returning solely for the libations remains alluring. La Casa de Frida excels in crafting drinks that tantalize the taste buds, promising a delightful journey to tipsiness by the third round.Noteworthy is the commendable service; during our visit, my companion and I decided to explore a special $30 shot of Patron Alto, intrigued by its novelty. To our surprise, the establishment went above and beyond by generously gifting us another expensive shot on the house, acknowledging our curiosity and enhancing our overall experience. This gesture adds an extra layer of satisfaction to the visit, creating a positive memory that encourages a return for both the drinks and the exceptional service.“
“It was pretty cool. Only downside for me is that their chicken was flavorless. I ordered chicken wings regular but at least expected to have some flavor. But overall I absolutely loved their drinks! The Hennything possible was pretty good. And their incredible hulks.“
“It's often a challenge to find vegan options. Mamacita's didn't let me down. The veggie fajitas were easily customized and de-LICIOUS...! The strawberry margarita was fire too...! Thank you Daniella, Cameron, and PK for the hospitality...!!!“
“Good service, good prices, personalized attention. Clean tidy place. If they don't have what you are looking for ready, they prepare it for you on the spot. I ordered pork chops with rice and beans, delicious. Reasonable prices. Crispy and tasty tostones. I recommend it.“
“Stopped in late night to grab a bite. I’ve always ordered through Ubereats, this was a first dining in. The chicken chunks are always great along with the rice that comes with it. The shrimp and rice was okay. The rice was amazing however the shrimp lacked seasoning. Tasted like it was steamed without any additives. The drinks were mid, not too strong but not weak.Downside, the restaurant was empty and it was late and the music was extremely loud to where you can’t hold much conversation with whoever you may be sitting with. The DJ plays good music but does not juggle well.I still recommend you give it a try!“
“El Antojito in the Bronx is an absolute gem of a food truck that deserves every bit of praise and those 5 shiny stars! From the moment I approached the vibrant truck, I could sense I was in for a culinary treat. The menu is a delightful blend of authentic flavors and innovative twists that truly sets El Antojito apart. The first thing that caught my eye was the diverse range of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, there's something to satisfy every craving. The tacos are a revelation – each bite bursting with freshness and a symphony of well-balanced spices. The meats are tender, and the tortillas are perfectly grilled, providing that ideal crunch. The salsa options are a flavor explosion, offering a spectrum of heat levels to suit every palate. One standout feature of El Antojito is their commitment to using high-quality, fresh ingredients. It's evident that the chef takes pride in crafting each dish with care and attention to detail. The portions are generous, ensuring you get great value for your money. The service is friendly and efficient, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and is more than willing to make recommendations based on your preferences.Whether you're a local or just passing through the Bronx, El Antojito is a must-try. It's not just a food truck; it's a culinary journey that transports you to the heart of authentic, mouthwatering Mexican flavors. I can't recommend El Antojito enough – it's a 5-star experience that will leave you craving more!“
“Walking in the area I decided to pop in to see what they're about. I greeted the staff myself and the girls responded...they seemed engrossed in their own conversations. No matter, I took a few pics of the nicely designed interior with cute chotskies and comfortable looking seating. Asked a few questions and left. Fast forward a few weeks later. The greeting was initiated by the staff and more friendly. I decided to order a meal to go of Arroz con gandules, Pollo Asado and Maduros. Quite tasty, nice portions and comparable in local pricing. I'd be back to try their Oxtails which I found out is served on odd days of the week that I don't remember. Welcome to the neighborhood Bayahibe Fusion.“
“Compay, este es el mejor restaurante que hay en el Bronx. Voy todos los dias que trabajo. Te echan mucha porción y el precio es bien barato. Por $10 te llevas un buen lunch. La comida es buena, tienen un menu variado lo que significa que no guardan la comida. Lo mejor“
“Im a weekly client here, this lil spot always comes thru on those late work days, rice and beans, roasted chicken, soups, u name it... as close to home cooked as u will ever get, staff is quick and good size portionsVegetarian options: Steamed veggies, rice and beans, soups, spagettis, plantains(green, yellow)“
“The picture is from after I started eating, but it was plated beautifully, was delicious. The music is quite loud so try not to sit next to the speakers.Service was great just a little hiccup where we were charged and given the wrong receipt for a different table. Other than that it's great and I recommend going there, all the food was great and nothing was too sweet or salty only just right!“
“The food was great. The waiter was so nice and polite. He kept coming over to see if we were OK or if we needed something. He gets a 10+Will be back soon...I had grits with melted cheese in it and pancakes with bacon and sausage. I was so great full that I was full, I just needed a bed to relax.“
“Morena is a Hispanic restaurant with Hispanic food and affordable proce, they have like rice, beans, tostones and all tipe of meet. After 6pm they do more like a club type with hookah and alcoholic beveragesKid-friendliness: Before 6pm please“
“Stick to breakfast food and you will be fine. Do not order salads and other items in the menu. They make good bagels, waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon and fries. The pastries and desserts are also really good. Make sure to only order those things.“
“Great food, Cuban sandwich is amazing and big. The layout of the food is amazing and it's better to go in person than place phone orders. There sandwiches are great but go early if you can on the weekends because they run out of food quick and you'll be waiting around for a while till their finish cooking but it's worth the wait.“
“I was waiting out front at the bus stop for the bus.didnt go in today. I went in there before however and its good. Good food. Calm staff. There is a thing that goes on here where customers will buy you food for free if you ask politely. Get corn on the cob and some chicken. It taste good. Better than sex if you are having sex with a supermodel.“
“Hands down, the empanadas is the go-to every time !! I love them. The fish nuggets, new to the menu, are amazing as well. The drinks are usually good, i like A Mighty Fine Time. The music is LOUD if you dine in the evening, weekends is a party atmosphere. Service is good. They always include the tip in the bill (if u think its deserved or not) and charge you extra if you use a credit card, so be sure to read b4 you pay.“
“This place is Puerto Rico, the food, staff and atmosphere was "chevere" the music was on point. I enjoyed my meal "mofongo" and the experience.Vegetarian options: You can request an order and they will accomodate a patron.“
“(Translated by Google) Good service and not to mention the food, I think it was my mother who prepared it, delicious seasoning, excellent food, excellent potato salad ? I adore it hihi(Original)Buen servicio y de la comida ni hablar , pienso que fue mi madre que la preparo rico sazón, excelente comida excelente ensalada ? de papas la adoro jiji“
“This restaurant is my favorite. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The team is very receptive and the cooking they offer is so tasty. I never decline to have a good dinner in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.“
“I ‘vé been having Lunch there for the last 2 years, quality of food is very good, is located in a popular neighborhood in Bronx, you can be starving and the food is already there , just ask for what you want, I love the variety of food, every day there’s somenthing different. If you like a particular food, and you have time , they can cook it for you. They also have Empanadas. Deserts, if you look at the kitchen is neat, those Chef cook the best Sancocho and red beans in the Bronx. Victor , Junior, Judy and Nelly are always willing to help, I usually see them in the morning shift, But the whole team is great, Go now, you won’t regret it.Tell them I sent you, so they give you a discount. Vegetarian options: Salad, Eggplant, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and you can ask and they will try their best to provide what you need.“
“The BEST food always comes from those mom and pop joints. I’ve had Dominican food in so many places, this one by far beats them all in regards to flavor and price. I been a customer for over 20 years. The meats are always marinated and seasoned to perfection. The Moro is always on point. You could eat the beans ALONE, that’s how good they are. I always get the maduros and potato salad as sides to complete the meals. I highly recommend this place but in regards to location, this is the hood so come early in the daytime and bring CASH. They don’t take cards“
“I quite enjoyed the food for a place we randomly walked into. But why $6.24 for a few pieces of lettuces and tomatoes? It was the size of a small side dish (wish I took a pic of it) that came with the chicken stew. At least bother to put a few avocados slices?Oh and note that 18% gratuity is automated included. All in all, solid homemade food but unhappy with how they charged. Not sure I’d return because of it.“
“Didn't expect it but, Georgina Restaurant was simply fabulous. Whatever your in the mood for, they have it. Pretty much every thing that we ordered was really fresh and yummy. The team members ensured that I was helped and answered all my questions very politely and swiftly. Thanks everyone!“
“Ordered from the Yelp App twice for delivery. First time, delivered on schedule. I enjoyed the food, my companions didn't. Second order, delivered on time. I again enjoyed the food and this time so did the others. No complaints here. La Reina has been around a few years, and appears to be holding their own amongst the other neighborhood Latin restaurants within the area. Our orders have been tasty and seem to be freshly made. We haven't dined in, so uncertain if that's an option. Driving by, their inside seems tiny, though their outward appearance is rustic and inviting. It is important to note, food-wise we are not in The Heights where full on authenticity is prevalent. Having this Latin restaurant as an option in the area allows us the opportunity to order from here again.“
“I recently ate here and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The warm ambiance and rustic decor created a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the Spanish chicken. The menu boasted a variety of flavorful dishes, each showcasing the chef’s expertise in combining traditional Spanish flavors with a modern twist. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a crispy, golden exterior that left my taste buds dancing. The appetizers were equally impressive, with options ranging from patatas bravas to chorizo croquettes. Each bite was a burst of Spanish authenticity. The chef’s commitment to using high-quality ingredients was evident, enhancing the overall dining experience. The drink menu featured a well-curated selection of Spanish wines and cocktails that complemented the meal superbly. The sangria, in particular, was a refreshing choice that added to the festive atmosphere of the restaurant. What truly stood out was the attention to detail in presentation. Each dish was a work of art on the plate, showcasing the chef’s dedication to not only taste but also aesthetics. As for the dessert, the churros were a delightful way to end the meal. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and accompanied by rich chocolate dipping sauce—a sweet ending to a savory journey. In summary, this Spanish chicken restaurant exceeded my expectations. From the inviting ambiance to the delectable dishes, every aspect of the dining experience was carefully crafted. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Spain with a modern flair. ¡Delicioso! Highly recommend“
“This place is amazing to say the least! Just celebrated my daughter's 1st bday party and entrusted Chris Super Deli with the catering and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Customer service was great, the price was awesome, and the food was perfect! So much food half the party took to go plates. How'd I get so lucky to find these guys? Will definitely be using their catering services again. 5 STARS and well deserved!“
“Been here too many times to count, for take out and dining in. Dining in the service is not amazing they can take long, sometimes you have to flag them for the check because they won't check on you. Take out is better because they are more attentive at the front. I usually order pernil, white rice and a side of red beans which is $11. But everything is worth trying. At the end of the day you go for the food not the service but they are nice.“
“Very nice and clean. We had avocado relleno with shrimp. We had rice and beans with churrasco and pernil with Maduros. Meats and Maduros were delicious. The rice and beans were ok but not the best. I also wished they added some flavor to the salad or left some salt at the table so we can add. Would I return absolutely! Parking is difficult in that area.“
“(Translated by Google) I am one of the people who respects food, because food is a way of showing culture and love to others. To be honest I love the food here, because of the great taste and the great quality of it.(Original)Soy de la personas que respeta la comida, porque la comida es una forma de demostrar la cultura y el amor a otros. Para ser sincera me encanta la comida aquí, por el gran sabor y la gran calidad que tiene.“
“Tonight was my first time at Vistmar and it won't be my list. I chose this location to have family dinner for my 40th birthday and it was a great choice. Berfil was our waitress, she was very nice and friendly. The food and atmosphere is great. I wish they played a variety of music but I still enjoyed myself. I would definitely recommend this place to others.“
