“We came to Buffalo from Pittsburgh for a few days and randomly picked Webster's for dinner. This place is simply a hidden gem. The food was incredible, and service... I was SO IMPRESSED by the services. It just seems lately (post covid) that people don't know what the service is anymore. Every single staff member was dressed to impress and our server Tom looked so sharp, was helpful, friendly, attentive and polite which just made this experience 10/10. I cannot recommend this place enough equally because of the food quality and selection and excellent service.“
“The food was good and waitress always kind, amazing service!! It was my first time. The only thing was the hostess looks like were always struggling to accommodate people who walk in like us. They forgot who was next and we had a long time waiting and they even doesn’t know what time or who was next but other then that. I really enjoyed the dinner. I probably come back.“
“Fantastic food and friendly staff. Tasty BBQ sauce and brisket was superb! Two-choice combo was more than enough for one person. Fries were fresh and good and Mac and cheese was really delicious. Ribs were OK.Highly recommend brisket and pulled pork. A must-try place in Buffalo!Parking: Plenty of free street parking however there are two paid parking lots right beside the place.“
“When we first arrived we were promptly given a table and our server immediately came and introduced herself as Matti. After taking our drink order I went back to the front and asked if we could be seated at a booth….no problem. We were re-seated in a minute.Matti saw what was going on and promptly brought our drinks over to the new booth. We ordered an appetizer and mains and settled in, amazed at the size of this establishment. It’s divided into 3 different large areas on multiple floors. Our appetizer was bought over to our table and it was delicious. After a short delay I noticed Matti speaking to a very large gentleman with a concerned look on her face.Within seconds the gentleman was at our table introducing himself as the general manager apologizing for the delay in our mains coming to our table. For such a large place it was so amazing they make sure you have and excellent experience. This level of personal attention is rare even in a small restaurant. We can’t say enough about Matti and the GM.We’ll be back.(Oh, and the food was simply amazing)“
“We started our tasty journey with the Olives, featuring the Castelvetrano and Cuquillo varieties. They have just a hint of orange that makes a boring bowl of olives a standout taste experience. The Potato Latkes were up next, served with tobiko taramasalata and tarragon. The combination is absolutely incredible, striking a perfect balance between texture and flavor...perfection.For our entrees, our group had the Ravioli Dauphine and the Lamb Meatball Bomber. The ravioli, filled with tender lamb shank and drizzled with beurre blanc, accompanied by scorzonera and crispy kale, is fantastic. The Lamb Meatball Bomber is delicious with its kale, sumac onions, and garlic yogurt. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Braised Chicken Leg, paired with black futsu squash, lentils, sage, and endive. It's no exaggeration when I say this is the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. The depth of flavor, the perfect cook on the chicken, and the harmony of the accompaniments is simply unparalleled. We had the Vanilla Panna Cotta with lemon, honey, and toffee for dessert. I have no words that adequately capture its sheer perfection. The Little Club delivered an exceptional dining experience. If I could give them six stars, I would. Every dish was a testament to the chef's mastery over their craft. I cannot recommend The Little Club highly enough; it is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining at its best.“
“I had to run an errand in Buffalo NY and stopped at a local mom and pop sandwich place that someone local had recommended. Oh.My. Goodness this place is great! I could rave about it for an hour. Everything was fresh and local and freaking delicious! Nothing was an afterthought - the bread that came with the soup was as good as my grandma’s dinner rolls ❤️ Even the lettuce on the burger was big, crisp and fresh. The tomato seemed like it had just been picked this morning. The coffee was delicious and fresh, made to order. Very generous portions, fat crispy bacon, ah! If you’ve never eaten a meal so delicious it brought tears to your eyes, you should come here. I would drive 400 miles again just to eat lunch here. The owners were super nice people!“
“Saw all the great reviews so we tried it and the food tasted very good and I see why everyone raves about it. They have so many customers it was 90 minute wait for pickup at 5:30 but earlier in the day it was only 30 mins. The order was ready at the exact time it showed for pickup ! The staff is so friendly and the place is clean. We will be back many more times !“
“On your way to Allentown? not sure which of the iconic places to hit? And there are many…. Make your way to Billy Club. Top notch cocktails. And even better service. Ask for Ian at the bar he will entertain you with great stories about cocktail creation while he aggressively shakes up his own cocktail concoctions.“
“Simply put these guys are The Best!!!I'm a huge fan of their soups, they have a nice variety, available every day and they all taste delicious. I am the only one who cares for soups in this family, I could have soup every day so I feel lucky to live around the corner from this little restaurant.Service is fast since they have a good organized system.Soups are always fresh and full of flavors with many delicious ingredients. The location always looks clean. The staff is nice even during rush. And prices are fair especially when you're getting great quality and quantity when compared to Wegmans my nearest other option. In reality is an offense to compare Charlie's soups with Wegmans. Charlie's are 10 times much better made.“
“I really don't want to do a review because then people will find out about this hidden gem. They are the sweetest people, and no matter what you order, it tastes great. Food like your mom would cook. So good it'll make your tongue slap your brains out.Parking: The parking lot is limited, and I'm not sure how many spots there are.Kid-friendliness: This is definitely a family restaurant. There are kid choices, and I have seen plenty of kids in there.“
“Great fast food feel for Vegan meals, I don't mean that in a bad way at all. We ordered the Philly cheesecake and chicken tenders. Both were fantastic! Will definitely be stopping in more in the future.Vegetarian options: The menu is actually fully veganDietary restrictions: They list out what's going into there product. Staff is knowledgeable and approachable if you have strict dietary concerns.Parking: Public on street parking“
“Simply put, we love this place. The food and drinks are consistently high quality. The atmosphere is quiet, minimal, and relaxed. The chef is excellent. He curates interesting rotating menus with adventurous flavors, textures, and platings. He accommodates dietary restrictions very thoughtfully, without lazy substitutions. The space is well-kept, and the team is great, very diligent, and knowledgeable. The bartenders are the best in Kenmore, hands down. If you have the pleasure of participating in the prix fixe, you'll likely experience a well-thought out pairing.Prix fixe isn't the only option. You can pop in for a quick drink and snack at the bar if there is room.Vegetarian options: You can get a prix fixe vegetarian meal.Dietary restrictions: The chef can accommodate dietary restrictions thoughtfully.“
“One of the best meals I’ve had in Buffalo in a long time. Tried serveral different appetizers and two main dishes. The beef tartare was some one the best I’ve ever had. The Focaccia bread with prosciutto and butter is a must have. Oysters were so fresh. Caviar and pork belly also amazing. Lobster Pasta was homemade and the sauce was delicious. The fries I had as a side for the burger was some of the best French fries I’ve ever had in my life. Dessert was homemade. I can’t believe I haven’t tried this place sooner. Our server Nick provided top notch service and was very knowledgeable. I was very impressed.“
“We were in the area for an appointment and saw Jack's on the corner. Checked out the menu and took a chance. We were so happy that we did! What an amazing find! Amazing people, atmosphere and food. The food...was so good. Totally unexpected flavors. We got the Black bean burger and the RR rice bowl. We actually asked for the recipe on both. Pico de gallo super fresh and elevated throughout the dish! A definite revisit for sure! Loved also the funny and quirky sayings around the restaurant. Just a really fun place, a good energy/vibe with superior quality of dishes.“
“First time I went here I would have ranked this a 5. Unfortunately after a couple more Doordash Orders and some in person visits I have found it can be inconsistent. Don't be dissuaded by the full parking lot. The service is very quick.“
“The dapper goose was clean, uncluttered, open and had candles on every table including on the bar. it gave the dining area a nice glow. The food was excellent and I was told they make everything in house. I came about that information because I do not like commercial whipped cream. She said. Don't worry, it's not, and it was not. It was yummy. It is expensive. My portions, we're medium. For oysters, I had 3 oysters with with resoto I have never tasted oysters like that. They're consistency was like pudding. But they still taste like oysters. I could cut them with my fork and they were in fact delicious. The bread pudding was unique.I was one of the first people in the restaurant .As I sat there the clientele started filing in. I thoughtOh, this is a woman's restaurant then. I thought oh this is a couple's restaurant. Then I thought oh, those 2 men have come in alsoThey had a wonderful mix of people. The bartender was particularly helpful about giving me information about the restaurant, the amount of time its been in the area 9 years we discovered that we both liked steak tartar. It is not often offered But as I remember it was done very well with a Pasteurized eggThe only thing that distracted me was the dress of the staff everyone was dressed in jeans. It seemed a little incongruent with price, atmosphere and presentation. If that doesn't bother you Go For It!! YUMPs iam disabled staff were very helpful with opening and holding the door. ^“
“So my gf and I visited Country Cottage for the first time last night as we were celebrating 30 yrs together and we heard a lot about this place and decided to try it.When we got there we did have to wait a few minutes to be seated as they were busy and the waitress wanted to sit us at a clean table- not a bad thing!I got turkey soup and than chicken and biscuit dinner and my gf got the Rubin and fries dinner. The food was absolutely fantastic! My gf said it was the best Rubin she had had and my soup and dinner was so good!Thank You Country Cottage for making our 30 yr anniversary dinner not only special but so good!“
“Great Old Fashioned Tavern with Great Fish Fry, and Pub Grub, but also Upscale Cuisine as Well. Duck Poutine is Great, Phenomenal Daily Selection of Soups, and Good Beer List. The Music is a Little Too Loud, but the Space is Charming. Great Value for the Price.“
“Okay so first of all, the macaroni and cheese is to die for oh my goodness it is so yummy. The drinks are on a whole new level you just have to come in and have them make some of their specialties definitely a great place to hang out and bring your “
“It is literally a great, upscale, delicious menu, 800+ bottles of whiskey dinner and bar spot. Lovely staff and helpful w allergy questions and awesome cocktails. The scallops and the duck were amazing.Dietary restrictions: Very helpful server w allergy questionsParking: Not a lot of parking, typical for downtownKid-friendliness: Please dont bring kids to an upscale whiskey bar people. “Oliver's Restaurant is easily amongst the nicest, upscale, and classy dining spots in Buffalo, NY. My first experience here was on Valentine's Day, where there I got a delicious mocktail and my boyfriend the Oliver's Manhattan! Although we were amongst the younger crowd, the staff did not make us feel less important as we were treated with the upmost respect. What made our dining experience was absolutely the restaurants layout and cleanliness! Thank you to the staff who made it a memorable experience I will always recommend.“
“Great place for Chicken Tenders and more! A bit loud to have a conversation at times but always great service and reasonable prices! A family and friends favorite! Definitely Kimmy-Sue Tested and Approved! ??? They also raise funds for non-profits and charities, which means a lot to our communities!Parking: Sometimes packed parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Automated doors are needed.“
“we went here this morning for my fiancé’s birthday to try their brunch menu. while he’s a vegetarian and there’s not many veggie options on their menu, the kitchen manager and our waitress randy were so welcoming, flexible and accommodating and were happy to modify a menu item for him. the food and drinks were incredible. we will definitely be back!!“
“As a Canadian, I had high expectations for Buffalo chicken wings. We ordered the hot flavour and were not disappointed. Beer is ice cold... and we met the most lovely man named Matt ? was a great spot and felt totally comfortable like a local pub xo cheers to Matt you are a “
“Fantastic spot with a really cool day-to-night concept! We stopped in for drinks and dinner. Sesame Street cocktail was fantastic — our table tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup, French onion soup, sweet potato salad, and got a side of fries, and loved it all! Homemade desserts are also excellent. Great service and atmosphere; would definitely recommend.“
“While pricey the food was delicious. The appetizers were amazing and the steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it. Medium with a sear to seal in the flavor. Sorry I had already eaten the fries and green beans by the time I remembered to take a picture.Parking: Make sure you are paying attention when parking in the back, getting in was very narrow.“
“Our 2nd time here and like the 1st time nothing but amazing food and love everything about this place!!!!Parking: Not sure how many parking spots both times had any issues to find a parking spotKid-friendliness: Would definitely Bring our kids back here!!!“
“Clean, worn but cared for. CASH ONLY, atm on site.Highlight- consistent high quality simple food with a rotating special menu at more than fair pricing, easily have a drink, and meal for $20-25 with a tip.Bar is cozy, restaurant roomy on the simple side.Parking: In front, and to the left of building NOT TO THE RIGHT, that is private parking for the business next door and may be ticketed or towed.“
“Small, old time diner with wonderful homemade soup, fresh sandwich fixings that can be served on lettuce with fresh sliced tomato wedges as well as on bread. Owner and patrons very friendly & welcoming....like having lunch with family. Mostly counter seating with a couple small tables at the end. Closes from 2:30-3:30 and reopens till 7.Parking: Might have to walk from up/down the street at busy times.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. Building is old and has step up to enter. There are handhold for people who have difficulty walking.Dietary restrictions: Aware of gf restrictions and usually has a good soup. Willing to serve sandwich fillings on plate.“
“*EDIT 3/5/24*Been a few more time since my recent review and the wings have been absolute ? lately. The last 5 times I've been were right on par with some of the best wings around town. Sauces are spot on, big fan of the hot-cajun and bbq-cajun. Service has been exceptional as well. Boosting up to a 5 star now since the last 5+ times I've been have all been perfectBeen to this place twice now since Ive been told best wings in WNY. My first time was a major letdown, I did the Double Dip with Cajun and Honey Mustard, the wings were so overcooked that all I tasted was other leftover food from the char marks. I wanted to give them another try because I always feel like these types of bars have mediocre food during the days and then they step up at night when the rush comes in so I went in again on a wknd night and ordered the Cajun-Medium Double Dipped. Once again, I ran into 3-4 of the wings extremely overcooked but the other ones were 100% spot-on, flavor was killer and the chicken was on point. Only if I could get a full order of decently cooked wings then my review would be higher. Also docking a bit of a point because I was told their top shelf whiskey was Seagrams 7... I mean, I get its a local bar but really?Positives were that the bartenders were all super friendly and were flying around the bar. There was a large wait for bigger groups to get tables but that is expected on a Friday night in a smaller location like this. Parking lot was a zoo with people trying to find spots. Ample televisions on to watch the game and overall seems like a fun local spot. All in all, Id recommend stopping in if you are in the area. Its a good group of people but the Wings just haven't left their mark on me (yet). Im hoping that changes though.Overall 3.5/5“
“My friend and I were seated immediately upon arriving. Our waiter came over, introduced himself, and asked us if we were attending the show at Sheas. We were. I ordered a Manhattan and my friend a gin martini. Both were excellent. For an appetizer we had the small plate of scallops. Cooked to perfection and delicious. The bread brought to the table was yummy as well. We both had the pecan crusted salmon. To die for as were the diced sweet potatoes and spinach it came with. We enjoyed a bottle of Standing Stone dry Riesling with dinner. One of our Finger Lakes favorites, and it paired wonderfully with the salmon dinners. Dessert? Why of course. The tiramisu, which was also fantastic. Overall, a great dinner in a great restaurant we have been to a number of times and will certainly go back to again. A gem in the Theater District.“
“The place has lots of cool Buffalo sports memorabilia. Lots of pic and jerseys lining the walls. Our server was so friendly and sweet. We split a few things since it was out 1st time here. Everything was served piping hot. The pickle chips were crispy and crunchy, with a nice dipping sauce, a little spicy but all tasty. The fries were cooked the way fries should be. Crispy outside, mashed potato like inside. The gravy served on the side was not very good. It was clumpy and not very tasty. The pulled pork(recommended by our fabulous server) was delicious, but I bit into a bone that damn near knocked my crown off. The server was very apologetic, and they even removed the sandwich from the check. (kind gesture that not a lot of places would do) The roast beef was good, but it was a bit overcooked for my taste. We really liked the atmosphere and the service, so we'll definitely return. You can't be perfect every day.“
“What a great accident this ended up being! Not only did we spend 1 1/2 hours with our dining experience, we progressed to the bar to enjoy a few more drinks. Molly, Kate, and Casey were very accommodating. The food and how it was all prepared...omg... genius with the ingredients. Every attention to detail! I mean, when the whipped cream on the creme brule is infused with lemon, grapefruit, and vermouth... who does that? This place is special on our list!“
“Their service and food continues to be one of the best in WNY! We happily drive about 30 minutes away for their fish fry. Small wait on Fridays of course. Same everywhere for Lent. Cajun fries were a good choice with the fishParking: Very irregular size lot around the outside of the restaurant, tough to park when it's busy“
“I stopped in for lunch with my daughter for the first time. The two ladies that were working were outgoing and welcoming, with fun personalities. You can tell the customers love them by how they react when they come in. It was fun to just watch them interact. The food was good. I had the reuben and it came on huge slices of bread with delicious fries. My daughter had loaded tots and said they were delicious, as well. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was too. We only wish this little gem was closer to home for us. We will be back again when in the area.“
“Cozy neighborhood eatery and bar. The staff are friendly and make you feel like a regular on your first visit. The wings are great. Good buffalo sauce and crispy, blue cheese is really good, and I'm a buffalo wing snob. Atmosphere sings old buffalo with antiques and vintage photos.“
“they've always had great burgers I tried the lobster bisque it was great and our waitress was awesome I got to speak with the manager he really knows what he's doing been in the business almost as long as I have great job everyone I will be “
“Stopped in at a very early 7:15 (for me) time only to find the parking lot almost full. Was greeted by a friendly and cheerful waitress, Yvonne, and sat at the counter, rather than take up table space. I ordered Eggs Benedict and was not disappointed! Lightly poached, nestled on a crispy English muffin, along with delicious Canadian Bacon and a creamy, lemony sauce. I chose the side of home fries, that were made fresh, (not frozen) tender, yet grilled well. And the coffee!!! Was smooth and flavorful, just as l like it. Will definitely return and anxious to explore this friendly, homey diner again soon!“
“I was introduced to The Hoagie Stop by my school-age kids because the owner visited their school. My kids were so excited by the owner's story, I was excited by delicious food... I was not disappointed. I went to their Clinton Street location, and it's not beautiful. Doesn't matter. I was greeted prompt by a kind server who was eager to help. The food was made promptly, and was beyond delicious! The 8" sandwich could have been two meals, but I just couldn't stop biting!!! Seriously, so excited to go back very soon.“
“Easter Dinner was a wonderful experience. Jenny was a great server, and the food came out quick and hot!Parking: Not many handicap spots but is wheelchair accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: No difficulty maneuvering a wheelchair or walker.“
“Really enjoyed the fried pickles(great batter) and cheese fries. Good American Menu. The band was WAY too loud and the sounds were very unbalanced, couldn't hear or understand anything. We had to wear ear plugs.Vegetarian options: Really good veggie wrap.“
“I had a pot roast sandwich and a big thing of fries. It was sensational, and the service was great! The friend I was with had traditional beef on whack, which he loved. I really enjoyed this place and the next time I am Buffalo, I will seek it out again.“
“A South Buffalo favorite for a reason, have never had a bad bite to eat here. Fish fry followed suit did not disappoint! Breaded and beer battered, my beer batter fish looks small but it was a good 2 inches thick and made up for, length, lol.“
“Excellent place to eat and drink. The owner remembers you. She always greets you with a smile. The atmosphere is small and cozy very inviting. The food is EXCELLENT!! I had the weck and wings...OMG!! The sandwich can truly rival the Great Charlie the butcher!! The portions are ridicules !! The amount of meat on a 6oz is large! The 12 Oz is crazy large just get an extra bun and you have 2 large sandwiches. GO there and eat you will NOT be Disappointed!!“
“I have been here twice. Food is very good depending on what you get. The seafood chowder and fish fry is very good. The pasta was disappointing the sauce was a bit watery and thin plus the pasta was just basic. The meatballs were good but that's about it. The first time I had a better experience with the raviolis. this is why i gave four stars and not three.“
“I ordered Chicken Slovakia in both salad and wrap. My partner loved the wrap and I enjoyed the salad! The Baklava was the best I’ve ever had! The food was ready when I came to pick it up and the person who cashed me out was very nice! I love the remodeled look!“
“Love Duff's wings. Always huge and cooked to perfection. Great service too! Only reason they don't get 5 stars is the prices. They remain very high even though chicken wing costs have come down. Don't go there as often as I used to because of it. Who can afford $2 per wing? Hoping that changes at some point.“
“The food was decent but my sides were warm not hot. Cornbread had to be brought out after we started eating because they forgot it. The people were nice and attentive. The Mac and cheese is the BEST that I've had at any restaurant!!Parking: Parking is in the back of the restaurant and there is plenty.Kid-friendliness: I think kids would be fine as this is more of a diner vibe. Very clean and cuteWheelchair accessibility: There are no steps so I believe a wheelchair could get through the doors easily.“
“Went for brunch for a birthday. Food was excellent. Views were wonderful and staff were friendly and helpful. Family already asking me when we can go back again. Rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to for this experience. Set in one of the most beautiful parts of “
“An institution and just a wonderful hole in the wall. Great wings and prime rib. Just go. You probably need a reservation as it is a very popular local spot. But such warm people very glad we went. They didn't realize we weren't local.“
