“Fun place with super nice staff and a great selection of brews! You "rent" a card per person with your credit card on entry. Grab a fresh glass and select and pour your own brew choice - whether an ounce or a full glass. A selection of wines and hard ciders were also available. Atmosphere is very casual and there is a lot of outdoor seating available in better weather. Food was good - pub style choices.Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids, although I'm sure they are welcome...“
“AMAZING!Incredible food. Authentic Indian cuisine- so flavorful! Unlike any Indian food we’ve had in WNY.The owner came out to give a background on how the business started & his father’s experience & wisdom that has been passed down to him. It’s obvious that every dish was made with care & pride. We will absolutely be back.“
“Let's face it. You don't go to Sportsmen's Tavern for the food -- it's all about the music! This is an outstanding music venue which continues to spread through the community. But you may be surprised to learn the food is very good! I'm not sure if the kitchen is always open but be sure to order food when at Sportsmen's for the full experience.“
“This is one of my favorite places to dine with my daughter. We always get the Brik as our appetizer. It's a delicious North African potato pastry topped with a fresh avacado salsa. We literally smile every time we get it! We just order one and split it. My go-to menu item is the Souvlaki Wrap with Chicken. It's perfect. I have also enjoyed the Shawarma Wrap. More recently, I tried the Grilled Romaine Salad with Avocado, Pine Nuts, Goat Cheese & Lemon Vinaigrette. Another winner. It was a lot of salad for one person, though, so we decided that we would split it next time and then order the appetizers that we've had our eyes on but haven't tried yet. For dessert, we like to order the Baklava to go. It is excellent. And honey, please do get yourself a slice of the Baklava Cheesecake!! It is a slice of heavenly goodness.“
“If you're looking for a warm and casual place to grab a fantastic brew, be sure to check out Magic Bear. Whether it's your first time or hundredth time visiting, you'll feel right at home. The owner, Craig, is knowledgable and one of the kindest shop owners you'll meet. If you're a beer nerd, Craig and his staff will never fail to give you a recommendation that matches or expands your palate. If you're not, they'll be just as sure to find something that you like. Definitely check this place out!“
“Service on a late Monday afternoon was fast and easygoing. Free open wifi (no password, so use your VPN, and sense), great atmosphere (even the restrooms have character), in a charming part of town (gotta love Allentown).Burger came fairly rare, so be sure to specify how you want it cooked if you're not into a lot of pink. Very flexible on how to prepare, and no problem getting the sauce on the side. Lena D. was great.Great beer and whiskey selection! Superb variety. When I wasn't sure what beer to try next, they offered a few samples to try based on my stated tastes. They even have a cheaper little 5 oz pour available for draft beers.Of course, you pay a premium for this level of quality. Impress the partners when you take them out for dinner and drinks (just uber/lyft to and from).Vegetarian options: Impossible burgers and other options for vegetarian dinners, and some things vegan to order.Parking: Good luck finding a spot on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Good entry and thrupath for wheelchair and scooter. Restrooms might be tight for some.“
“My friend and I went there for drinks for the first time last night. We searched Googles for new cocktail bars in the area, and this place popped up. It was a great time. The cocktails were very well crafted. We didn't get food. The atmosphere was fun. A mix of the younger generation and older consumers were there. We had fun and also met up with a few other friends. Would highly recommend.“
“The guy at the bar was super friendly and informative about the drinks and gave me a detailed explanation about absinthe. The atmosphere was so chill and fun.Loved the lite brite and other games. It was so cool to see a free library in a bar.I will definitely be back when I'm in town.“
“Went today for my first time. My bartender was the owner she was literally the best. The dog was the cutest meatball ever. I tried the cider flight and was extremely happy. The flight was 12$ the whole menu affordable and the atmosphere was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.“
“Loved it! Very nice gathering place. Also provides parking. I was there for a benefit/fundraiser and found it to be a great place to hold such an event. There's plenty of space, a kitchen and Bar. It also has multiple rooms for use. Two thumbs up ?“
“The band was great, but so was the venue! Different levels for viewing the stage and dancing, the eye-catching collection of album covers, and the open garage door that allowed ventilation and also a little outside smoke for anyone nostalgic for the smell of the bars we used to sneak into. Such a great space!“
“One of the best meals I’ve had in Buffalo in a long time. Tried serveral different appetizers and two main dishes. The beef tartare was some one the best I’ve ever had. The Focaccia bread with prosciutto and butter is a must have. Oysters were so fresh. Caviar and pork belly also amazing. Lobster Pasta was homemade and the sauce was delicious. The fries I had as a side for the burger was some of the best French fries I’ve ever had in my life. Dessert was homemade. I can’t believe I haven’t tried this place sooner. Our server Nick provided top notch service and was very knowledgeable. I was very impressed.“
“Some of the nicest people in the industry at this place. Never had a bad meal, although did have something that was too spicy for me. Every person working there is exceptional, especially the owner and family. The atmosphere is creative, and they have live music some nights. The drinks are fun and inventive too, and there's Sunday brunch to boot!!! Solid choice.“
“Clean, worn but cared for. CASH ONLY, atm on site.Highlight- consistent high quality simple food with a rotating special menu at more than fair pricing, easily have a drink, and meal for $20-25 with a tip.Bar is cozy, restaurant roomy on the simple side.Parking: In front, and to the left of building NOT TO THE RIGHT, that is private parking for the business next door and may be ticketed or towed.“
“Enjoyed the food a lot, not so much the place.I was pleased with them having vegan options! There's not too much parking and the place was absolutely packed out the door, causing me to order to go instead. I wouldn't go back due to how busy it is and the layout being inefficient.Looking forward to the new locations with more parking and better layout!Overall the good food outweighed the chaos inside, so will order take out for a pick up next time!Vegetarian options: There are a few vegan options!“
“I’ve been here for a night out with friends. It was a great vibe, outstanding service, and great prices. I recently had the wings as I’ve been told they are great. I would say they are some of the best in the city. I ordered them medium extra crispy. Even with it being takeout the wings kept their integrity and tasted great! Plus they have homemade bleu cheese“
“Had a really great experience here. If you like seafood, you have to try the Filetto di Bronzino. The dish was huge, and every aspect of the dish was completely amazing. I don't normally like tomatoes and olives, and I'm not the biggest fan of asparagus, however it was all delicious thanks to the white wine & lemon sauce. The sauce brought everything together like gravy on Thanksgiving. The fish and the mashed potatoes were out of this world, and I was especially impressed with how well everything in the dish went together. Olives and tomatoes, asparagus and olives, mashed potatoes and bass: no matter what you combine on your fork, it was amazing. A year ago my wife and I were enjoying seafood in Aruba, and this dish really took me back there. It cost $38 but I would have paid double. The waitress was really nice and attentive.“
“While pricey the food was delicious. The appetizers were amazing and the steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it. Medium with a sear to seal in the flavor. Sorry I had already eaten the fries and green beans by the time I remembered to take a picture.Parking: Make sure you are paying attention when parking in the back, getting in was very narrow.“
“As a Canadian, I had high expectations for Buffalo chicken wings. We ordered the hot flavour and were not disappointed. Beer is ice cold... and we met the most lovely man named Matt ? was a great spot and felt totally comfortable like a local pub xo cheers to Matt you are a “
“Updated 7/2/2023 We have been back several times over the years and it just keeps getting better! We were in last night and had some incredible food. The wine was amazing as always. If you haven't been and you are looking for noteworthy wine and delicious food this is the place to go. Can't wait to go back!!What a great find! Can't wait to go back, this will be our new spot. We had a couple of glasses of wine that was recommended by the bartender Pete - He was spot on! The wine selection was simple but high quality, something for everyone. Nice beer selection for the non wine drinker. The atmosphere of the venue was cozy and welcoming. The outdoor area was not open due to the cold but that looked cute as well. We will definitely be back and can't wait for the warm weather to sit on the patio.“
“Great place for Chicken Tenders and more! A bit loud to have a conversation at times but always great service and reasonable prices! A family and friends favorite! Definitely Kimmy-Sue Tested and Approved! ??? They also raise funds for non-profits and charities, which means a lot to our communities!Parking: Sometimes packed parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Automated doors are needed.“
“If you're looking for a fun way to spend an evening with a small or large group, this is the place. You don't need to be fit, you don't need to have aim, you don't need to have ever touched a hatchet or similar thing before. Becca showed us the basics and then gave everyone personalized tips to hone our personal throws. She then set us up in an epic tournament where really any of us could have won. We had so much fun. We will be back! This is highly recommended for anyone over 21. It can definitely be a little loud so bring earplugs if you're sensitive.“
“Cozy neighborhood eatery and bar. The staff are friendly and make you feel like a regular on your first visit. The wings are great. Good buffalo sauce and crispy, blue cheese is really good, and I'm a buffalo wing snob. Atmosphere sings old buffalo with antiques and vintage photos.“
“Truly a special place. Unlike any other bar. Bartender was friendly and chatted us up. Open mic night was fun and it’s clearly an institution-full of regulars and the fact that we didn’t feel unwelcome was nice. Worth a visit just to check out what decades of people adding art and memorabilia on the walls can create.“
“The place has lots of cool Buffalo sports memorabilia. Lots of pic and jerseys lining the walls. Our server was so friendly and sweet. We split a few things since it was out 1st time here. Everything was served piping hot. The pickle chips were crispy and crunchy, with a nice dipping sauce, a little spicy but all tasty. The fries were cooked the way fries should be. Crispy outside, mashed potato like inside. The gravy served on the side was not very good. It was clumpy and not very tasty. The pulled pork(recommended by our fabulous server) was delicious, but I bit into a bone that damn near knocked my crown off. The server was very apologetic, and they even removed the sandwich from the check. (kind gesture that not a lot of places would do) The roast beef was good, but it was a bit overcooked for my taste. We really liked the atmosphere and the service, so we'll definitely return. You can't be perfect every day.“
“I stopped in for lunch with my daughter for the first time. The two ladies that were working were outgoing and welcoming, with fun personalities. You can tell the customers love them by how they react when they come in. It was fun to just watch them interact. The food was good. I had the reuben and it came on huge slices of bread with delicious fries. My daughter had loaded tots and said they were delicious, as well. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was too. We only wish this little gem was closer to home for us. We will be back again when in the area.“
“Really enjoyed the fried pickles(great batter) and cheese fries. Good American Menu. The band was WAY too loud and the sounds were very unbalanced, couldn't hear or understand anything. We had to wear ear plugs.Vegetarian options: Really good veggie wrap.“
“*EDIT 3/5/24*Been a few more time since my recent review and the wings have been absolute ? lately. The last 5 times I've been were right on par with some of the best wings around town. Sauces are spot on, big fan of the hot-cajun and bbq-cajun. Service has been exceptional as well. Boosting up to a 5 star now since the last 5+ times I've been have all been perfectBeen to this place twice now since Ive been told best wings in WNY. My first time was a major letdown, I did the Double Dip with Cajun and Honey Mustard, the wings were so overcooked that all I tasted was other leftover food from the char marks. I wanted to give them another try because I always feel like these types of bars have mediocre food during the days and then they step up at night when the rush comes in so I went in again on a wknd night and ordered the Cajun-Medium Double Dipped. Once again, I ran into 3-4 of the wings extremely overcooked but the other ones were 100% spot-on, flavor was killer and the chicken was on point. Only if I could get a full order of decently cooked wings then my review would be higher. Also docking a bit of a point because I was told their top shelf whiskey was Seagrams 7... I mean, I get its a local bar but really?Positives were that the bartenders were all super friendly and were flying around the bar. There was a large wait for bigger groups to get tables but that is expected on a Friday night in a smaller location like this. Parking lot was a zoo with people trying to find spots. Ample televisions on to watch the game and overall seems like a fun local spot. All in all, Id recommend stopping in if you are in the area. Its a good group of people but the Wings just haven't left their mark on me (yet). Im hoping that changes though.Overall 3.5/5“
“My father in law took me here and I've never had better wings in my life and as a lifelong Buffalonian I know my wings. Prices are out of this world reasonable and the atmosphere is great, tvs everywhere so you won't miss any breaking sports is a plus.“
“The food and service were wonderful. The bar was way too small, it only fit the couples. The upstairs bar was closed which was large and a much better set up. This was unfortunate because the bartenders skills were great. Close the downstairs one and open upstairs. You'll attract a younger crowd up there. The beef tartare was my favorite dish of the night but my lobster was also great.“
“The food was spectacular. Our server was attentive but forgot to ring in the added protein for my companions dish, and then made an unrelated mistake with our check. Once we paid she hurried out the door, leaving us feeling a bit like we had inconvenienced her. The food was absolutely incredible and more than enough to keep us coming back.“
“they've always had great burgers I tried the lobster bisque it was great and our waitress was awesome I got to speak with the manager he really knows what he's doing been in the business almost as long as I have great job everyone I will be “
“The exact embodiment of an Irish Pub you'd imagine if someone asked you to think of the ideal Irish pub, except without the stereotype redhead with green eyes at the door. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was decent, drinks served fast, and probably the best spot to take a date on Saint Paddy's (which I failed to do).Edit to add: each time I've been by here, Megan has been hostess/server. She's great! Instantly personable, relatable, a delight. If you can afford to spend a bit, the Banshee is really the best little spot to hang out. The charm of the space, and the staff, makes each visit deeply satisfying.Parking: There are a number of paid parking lots and paid parking garages in the area, but it's smack in the middle of downtown, so expect to pay for your time there. Ride services and cabs are ideal anyway, to prevent bad judgement after a few pints. To be honest, parking right in front of the building on Franklin St is *supposed* to be city street parking with meters, but some ppl have said they park there constantly and never pay anything (at least not in the afternoon/evening). Your call if you want to risk it. You can also pay $30 for the lot next door, if you really need some peace of mind.Wheelchair accessibility: Although the upper floors won't be accessible, the ground floor doors are accessibly wide and swing light on their hinges. The bathrooms can be a little snug to get thru the doors, but there are of course accessible stalls when thru those.“
“Misuta Chow’s is a unique, super cool and fun Japanese street food and cocktail bar downtown. The food and cocktails are delicious and there is an arcade upstairs as well as a glittery pink staircase which is famous for photos. Since this space does so many things there is somewhat limited seating for dining. If you want to try the food I’d recommend getting a reservation or you can also try your luck for bar seating, which is first come first served. We were in the area and had not planned dinner so we decided to pop in and got lucky with some bar seats. We ordered Sesame noodles, Shio ramen and Yakitori skewers donburi bowl. The sesame noodles was a cold noodle dish, highly recommended by a friend. The flavor was light and delicious with a healthy helping of sesame oil. The ramen was wonderful. They prob have my favorite ramen in the area. Light and flavorful broth, perfectly cooked pork belly, noodles with the perfect amount of chew and some crunchy baby corn, bok choy and scallion for freshness. Finally the yakitori skewer bowl which combined chicken thighs in a bowl of rice, and pickled veggies. The chicken had a wonderful glaze, was juicy and perfectly cooked. And the pickled veggies were a perfect way to balance out the meal.Service was great but I will point out that this place gets packed. We did not feel ignored by the staff but sometimes it took a little while to get their attention which is completely understandable. We enjoyed people watching while we waited for our check. We have been here before and have enjoyed everything else we sampled on their unique menu. They also offer some neat cocktails which are pretty reasonably priced. This place is neat and we are lucky to have it here. Stop in and experience something new!“
“What a delightfully unexpected treat!Italian outside of the immediate NYC area is always a little uncertain, but honestly I couldn't have been happier with this absolute gem.For starters, our waitress was a peach, very boisterous and absolutely delightful, quick and yet still apologized for the non-existent delay, and super helpful. She gave great advice and pointed out something on the menu I missed, which I ended up ordering (the lasagna). The food was absolutely fantastic. This is hands down one of the best marinara sauces I've ever had, and if my aunt heard that she'd kill me for it. Also, though it was unusual for an American restaurant, paying for the bread service was genuinely worth it. Tasty bread with some garlic rolls that were absolutely incredible. The prices were truly very good - not the best I've ever seen, but for the quality and quantity of food I would never feel bad paying it.The only bad part about this restaurant is that I'm not local to it and therefore I don't know if I'll ever be able to make it back! If you're in Buffalo, especially in the area, you'd be sorely missing out to skip Giacobbi's!“
“Scared to review, don't want this spot becoming too popular.. Not a hidden gem since it's right on Niagara. But I absolutely love coming here. The atmosphere is perfect, always. Great staff and awesome prices. We love the bathrooms, very hot. Get a panini!! Get a few drinks!! You'll be back ;)“
“Drinks are great! Bartenders know what they're doing! Don't screw around, get the rosettes or a pizza! Amazing! Awesome service EVERY TIME!Parking: Small, tight lot especially trucks. But, there are sidewalks so street parking isn't too bad and Lancaster is a safe place.“
“Steve, our bartender was great! Wonderful selection of beers. You can't miss ordering the house wings. The bar and eating space is roomy and bathrooms are clean. The outside tables make it a super-friendly atmosphere.I haven't been there on Wing Wednesdays but it looks like I'll be there soon for $1 wings and $3 Utica Club drafts!!!“
“Outstanding experience, best wings, and handcut fries in Buffalo. The wait times might be long but your food is brought as soon as it is ready as well as "ordered". Two spots to order from being the bar and one of the 12 tables located behind the hostess. Expect wait times of an hour at open and some open seats by 7/7:30. Went on a Saturday and had a great time talking to both tourists and locals. Order a drink so that the wait feels less like an hour and a half and more like twenty-five minutes. Cannot wait to come back and try the HOT wings as opposed to MEDIUM. They are known for their hot sauce.“
“Small, clean and fun, this cozy venue offers excellent service at an extremely reasonable price. Modern jukebox and clean restrooms.Entertainment on some nights including outstanding karaoke on Tuesday from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m..You don't need a lot of money or talent to have a great time here!“
“We came for the fish fry. The server was friendly, attentive, and willing to take time to tell us about the history of the place. The fish was cod, not haddock. It was tender and spot on flakey. That itself was a very pleasant change from a lot of other places. We will be back soon.“
“How can you not LOVE a place that brings a food truck every Thursday, serves more varieties of beer than you can count, has great tenders behind the pine, AND let's you bring your dog?!?! It's my favorite spot in Kenmore, hands down.Parking: It's not a huge lot because of the outdoor deck, but Delaware and Shepard have plenty of spotsWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and wide doors“
“We had an absolutely amazing experience for our friend’s bachelorette party this weekend. Our instructor, Sam, has such amazing energy and made our whole experience such a blast. Loved the atmosphere, food, drinks, and staff. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Buffalo!“
“Great atmosphere, great staff. Had the ribeye, asada and pork belly tacos and split chips, queso and elote. Asada taco was good, queso was a bit too salty and was the 1st thing we had so it may have stepped on the other food a bit. Best thing was mixing queso into elote and dipping chips into it. Together they were Great! Would absolutely go back.“
“Great placeThe the food was good except the yellow pipe fingers and give you plenty of calamari it is so good with arugula I recommend this restaurant to anyone but you should make reservations ahead of time if you canVegetarian options: And they also offer vegetarian meals you have to ask for it thoughDietary restrictions: I have reduced sodium meals no saltWheelchair accessibility: My sister need it to be in a handicap parking zone and it was right there in front of the restaurant we were able to go up the ramp and go right in“
“Its family run. There open later then near by bars. They have some real good food I love the pizza logs. They have awesome cool down to earth just amazingly great bar tenders.my favorates.. Yes I said favorites are Charlie and Paulette.. Its down to earth and have good family AND adult functions for holidays and more. There is a fish fry I believe every Friday. Remember to tip!!!“
“Love Duff's wings. Always huge and cooked to perfection. Great service too! Only reason they don't get 5 stars is the prices. They remain very high even though chicken wing costs have come down. Don't go there as often as I used to because of it. Who can afford $2 per wing? Hoping that changes at some point.“
“Food specials are delicious deals. Ten wings or 3 tacos and a domestic bucket for 20 bucks. Hot, saucy and crispy? Jen is an amazing server, juggling the bar kitchen and tables. TVs placed just right to watch the game. New outdoor patio is perfect for warm summer nights with friends. Dart and cornhole tournaments and of course karaoke.“
“An institution and just a wonderful hole in the wall. Great wings and prime rib. Just go. You probably need a reservation as it is a very popular local spot. But such warm people very glad we went. They didn't realize we weren't local.“
