We ordered from the Lenten menu the shrimp pappardelle and the scallop risotto. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. Service was on point, friendly and professional. We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. Companions enjoyed their choices of crab cake benedict and a large cubano sandwich served with homemade shoestring fries. “My family and I took a whim on this place and trusted their Google reviews. I'm glad we did. The place is nice, clean with a very nice ambiance. Service was quick, friendly staff, nice music. I took the advice of comments on their Instagram page and their recommendations and ordered the risotto balls, clams, tuna tartar and beef dumplings for appetizers. Entrées were the strip steak, ahi tuna and short ribs. I have to tell you, their food is really, really good! My son got their tartufo for dessert and I had the tres leche. Hubby had a cappuccino. All good feedback. Prices are fair. The entrees are on the higher end but do-able. I hear they serve brunch. I'd like to come back and try. There are many other dishes I'd like to taste as well. “We three ate here today. Tony, visiting from Ireland, and I each had the 1/2 rack of ribs which we both agreed was excellant, fall off the bone good. I had as my 2 sides collard greens and corn. Both sides were very good, seemed to have a slight pickled flavor and went down easily. She had the pulled pork sandwich, which she found excellent to include the thin bread, and she had to have the bread pudding for dessert, which was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, so we had to help her finish it as it was too big for one person! Definitely the best rib place for both ribs and sides, we look forward to returning. The interior may seem a bit small but in the good sunny sumertime they have outdoor seating for well over a hundred diners. There's plenty of free parking, it's all located in the area behind Fairchild's Funeral parlor. The service is friendly and timely. “I apologize for not writing this review earlier, but I did have the complete honor and privilege to Dine here this past Sunday, March 3, 2024. From start to finish it was perfect. I am in the Restaurant business and have been for the past 35 years. To be quite honest it is really hard for any establishment to float my boat, especially in this day and age. As Server Jamal was phenomenal, very professional, and understanding. I arrived with a Guest a bit late for a Sunday evening and still was treated like royalty. The Chef even came out to adhere to some requests which I found simply unparalleled. From start to finish it was an epic journey of culinary perfection and straight-out perfect Hospitality. “This bar was originally under a different name then it closed and recently reopened with a new name. Inside it looks like absolutely nothing was changed. Same large bar area filled with TVs showing sports, pool tables, and a few high tops scattered around. They had a decent crowd on a Saturday night and you could tell it was mostly regulars.The bartenders are super nice and always remember what you're drinking. This is not the place to go if you want fancy craft beer or the best cocktail of your life. It's very much a dive with a friendly group of people and more of a local watering hole. Not a bad spot to kick back, watch the game, and enjoy a cold one.“

Bartender was extremely friendly and helpful, recommended a place to eat since they are currently without a chef so the kitchen was closed which was so disappointing. People had ordered and brought their own pizza and even offered to share. There is an outdoor area for nicer weather out back, and a second room that can be used for busy nights or private parties. A woman brought her dog and the bartender gave him treats, so yes this place is pet friendly. I give it 5 stars as everyone was so friendly.“

“The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“

“Attended a large party at the Irish Poet for my establishment's annual holiday party. For apps, there were chafing dishes of chicken tenders, wings, and pigs in the blanket. I preferred the chicken tenders as the wings and pigs got a bit soggy. Then we were presented with mains: salad, penne a la vodka, chicken franchise, and sliced steak (almost like pot roast), along with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. The highlights were the steak, potatoes, and vegetables. Most dishes were lukewarm at best. I like my salad dressing on the side, and a thicker vodka sauce. The salad had so much dressing it wilted the lettuce. For dessert, Italian cookies were served but there were hardly enough to go around. I realize a lot of people skip dessert but it wasn't a good look to be short. Overall, I think a few adjustments to the food should be made in the future. That being said, Amy was a fantastic server. In fact, all of the staff/bartenders were attentive, taking orders, and cleaning up.“

The platter comes out stacked high with plenty of chips and the fish had a crunch that will literally drown out all the noise around you. I haven't had fish and chips like this. It was very delicious.Dessert sampler is the bonus in the family style financially speaking. They give you five desserts on a board, the sizes are decent certainly more than just a flavor of those desserts. it is quite a good mix. Love the crème brûlée in there. I like it because the sugar balance in it is just not too much not too low.For the amount of food you get it’s more than worth it . Some might call it expensive at $40.99 per adult but for the amount of food they give you it is more than worth it, not only you can get as many refills as you want as you keep on finishing food and whatever you don’t finish you can take it home. “Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“

The reason for me writing this post is to appreciate the level of care and concern for safety of all patrons that the staff has. I won't write out the entire thing, but on one occasion I was being followed/had someone not leave me alone. Mike, Tom and (another) Mike made sure that the guest left and kept me safe while he was leaving. They made sure that the unruly guest didn't see me leave or follow me, and got him to leave me alone while I was at the bar. Its great to see a group of people that put the safety of their guests at the forefront of their business even if it is a busy Sunday Night. Also, drinks are on point, and while they don't serve food, they are always open to you ordering/eating outside food at the bar while you have a drink!“

They came out piping hit, watch your mouth, lol. Luisa makes the marinara for the zucchini sticks. Delicious!! We have never had a meal we didn't enjoy! The wings are great the only problem is their are too many sauces to choose from. “I ordered curry chicken roti and veggies and not too bad. Nothing to really rave about but it was cool. I enjoyed it. Food came quickly. I usually like to eat the roti skin at my own leisure (prefer for it not to be served wrapped) but I didn't mind it because the gravy was not very oily and they portioned it well that it didn't overly soak the skin. I was happy. I would order again.“
