“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“
“KCBC Brewery stands out as a beacon for beer aficionados, boasting an expansive space that instantly welcomes you with its warm and inviting vibe. The sheer size of the place allows for a diverse crowd, from casual drinkers to serious hop heads, all finding their niche in this vibrant atmosphere. The selection of beers is nothing short of amazing, with each brew showcasing the craftsmanship and passion of its creators. From rich, robust stouts to crisp, refreshing lagers, there's something for every palate. The vibe is lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or kickstart a night out with friends. However, there's a catch—KCBC's focus is solely on their brews, meaning snack options are non-existent. While this might be a slight downside for those looking to pair their pint with a quick bite, the quality and variety of the beers on offer more than make up for it. It encourages guests to immerse themselves fully in the tasting experience, perhaps even prompting a visit to local eateries before or after. In essence, KCBC Brewery is a must-visit for its exceptional beers and the nice vibe it offers, even if it means planning your snacks elsewhere.“
“Got there at 6 on a Thursday, waited 2 hours for a table for 2. Mozzarella sticks and ribs were amazing. Wings, burger, and ice cream sundae were fine. Service was great, and I loved the atmosphere, it was loud as hell so some people may not like that but I have no issue.“
“An absolutely wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was nice - minimalist Japanese decor, wood tones, and music that you didn't have to scream over. The food was excellent and not too pricey. I went with a group and we ordered a bottle of sake which came to us in a large ice dispenser for the table which was a surprise and delight (not to mention we got to pick out unique sake cups for ourselves). The wait staff was friendly and informative. Will definitely be returning“
“Absolutely love stopping here. The staff are sweet, helpful, and timely. The oysters are fresh and delicious. Definitely get yourself the Mac and cheese and ricotta dip to share bc they are delightful! Great place if you’re looking for a light tasty meal and a proper glass of wine.“
“Great cozy spot for a cold Sunday beer and grilled cheese. We got the Fun-ghi and Figgy Piggy and it was a good mix of sweet and salty. The shop has tons of fine foods for gifts or appetizers, a long fresh cheese bar, and craft beer to go. What more could you need!“
“I was meeting a friend for dinner and it was pouring out. Being wet and cold instantly disappeared once I walked into this magical restaurant! The place is cozy, tables well spaced, clean and comfortable. The wait staff was super friendly, made good suggestions and brought the food out timely. We had the crispy chickpeas with rosemary and black salt. This is listed under snacks. I suggest you order these as soon as you sit down to snack on while deciding what to order. The chickpeas were deep fried with wonderful seasoning and had a delightful crispy taste. They have a wonderful wine list. We had the Chateau De Chantegrive Graves 2012. It is a Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon, France. It tasted like a mixture of a Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay and was not too sweet. It also is a great value at $11 a glass. We started with the Steak Tartare appetizer with fresh Chile and ponzu sauce. The chef at this place is a master at spicing, the true art of cooking. Fresh Chile and ponzu are two very flavorful ingredients where each can dominate. Just the right amount of each was added and the flavors blended perfectly with the tartare. We then had the Wild Dover Sole with salsa Verde and the Salmon Rice Bowl with coconut rice, seared salmon, avocado, seaweed, sesame seeds and ponzu sauce. I had never had wild dover soles and wanted to try them. The dover soles were incredibly light and almost melted in our mouths. The Salmon Rice bowl was extraordinary with oodles of flavor. The coconut rice was cooked to perfection. We finished with a cappuccino and latte and the coffee flan. I love flan and coffee so it was heavenly for me. The flan had a strong coffee taste and was not overly sweet as some flans are. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.Even though I do not live in the neighborhood it is worth the trip!“
“Great local bar with a very large selection of beers and delicious food cooked to order. All kinds of great bands on different nights of the week. They have fire pits in the back in a covered area with large screen televisions and exceptionally friendly staff. If you're in town in Rockaway Beach, definitely a place to stop by and have fun with friends.“
“Highly recommend the ribeye (steak and mashed potatoes) and chicken wings. With over 90 beers to choose from, it's impossible to go wrong with this place. We were taken care of by Rina, who is there Fri and Sat. Amazing and attentive waitress who knows her beers. Visit this place!“
“Great small place, this please can be come my next Cheers. Locals are great and very welcoming to new comers and give you great recommendations. Great selection of beers and very good food, I would come again. The owner operates the bar and he is very accommodating with great beer knowledge.“
“Lovely place to stop and get a beer when in New York or in Harlem. The selection was based on local beers that were either supportive of women own breweries or LGBT focused. The bartender was very kind and super down to earth! ! We'll be returning next time we are in town.“
“It is an excellent and unpretentious place for a girl's night out. We went on a Thursday they had Good music with enough volume to talk with your friends. Good food and curated coctails, I got the Parmesan sandwich on a hero, and it was freshly prepared and delicious plus it came with salad instead of French fries. ( good to cut your carbs ;)) the waiter was fun and kind.“
“— current review:The food is still amazing and so good that i would be back for it. but after speaking about this place to all of my friends and taking them there I was very disappointed with the service of this male server (dont recall nor made an effort to ask the name) but he was very “ironic” on the way to serve us and did not make us feel welcomed/comfortable like we always do. It felt like a weird interaction that all I wanted to do was eat and leave.— this was my previous review:Oh. My. God. This place is heaven on earth. I strongly recommend the pancakes and the jalapeño biscuit but honestly anything you order would probably be amazing as well.“
“Gottscheer Hall is a fixture of Ridgewood and has been for decades. It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and their selection of German beer pretty much guarantees something for everyone. The bartenders are also the best in the area, friendly, personable and great to chat with while sipping on a cold one. I've made many memories and friends in that place from all walks of life. I recommend it to everyone. Easy 5 stars. Check it out!“
“I hosted some friends for my 30th birthday here and it was the perfect event, no small part because of this space. Everyone who came mentioned how much they loved the spot and the vibe. The drinks were great and I was able to bring in food (we ended up ordering some of the food they offer as well to snack on - delicious). What I will rave about most is the staff. Audrey took our orders all night and was the kindest, most helpful and attentive person. Also shout out to Amanda and JR for being so great as well in answering all my questions. I think I found my new favorite spot!!“
“I tried the place for the 1st time around 1 week ago. I've been back again I really enjoyed the chicken wings and my smashed bacon cheeseburger I tried a beer called a Cloud in the Sky it was awesome I will definitely be eating there again“
“The place is full of European Vibe!! The decoction is super simple but elegant. They have 21 variety of taps and a lot of Great wine and beer. I just love the dim light and music with good taste of drinks. Bartender in there is super friendly and make you feel comfortable. I just feel like love it.“
“Great beer, knowledgeable and kind bartenders, the big backyard is a great place to relax on a hot day. They use air purifiers inside - a big thank you from everyone who still takes COVID seriously, this is one of the only indoor bars I’ll go to in the winter.“
“You can get booze anywhere but you go to a bar for the staff and atmosphere. This place has both, the staff is down to earth and makes you feel like you belong there. The place is huge and very clean with lots of entertainment along with having the best wings in town. I love to play pool there and hang with the bartenders while enjoying the sun setting on the place. Two thumbs up, would recommend to a friend, 5 out of 5 dentists approve.“
“Can’t recommend this place enough! Special shout out to Sean and Natasha. Amazing bartenders it’s a great place to try amazing beer. If you’re not a beer lover, they have you covered with other drinks… alcoholic and non-alcoholic! I’d also recommend this place to host a party. Chill atmosphere with good vibes.“
“I have been to this place several times now and after the first time that I came I will always bring a new friend. I really like this place because first off the atmosphere is banging. It's very beautiful with its futuristic vibe and ocean theme, its magic video walls constantly provide a diverse feast for the eyes. The food and cocktails are wonderful and I love the karaoke! I can't wait to sing to you.“
“This dimly light bar is low key. No need to dress up here. My coworker and I had the frozen painkiller which was tasty, sweet and strong. Everyone we've had met were super friendly and cool. We also try their pumpkin rum cake. It was super delicious and moist.Perfect place for after hour drinks with friends or a date.“
“Walked upon this random Tiki/tropical style bar in Brooklyn. What a surprise! These cocktails were well balanced. Love the minimalist decor offered by the bar. The menu itself is beautiful.Grab the house Mai Tai. Trust me. I can't wait to go back.“
“I've been back a couple of times, in the last few years: sometimes in the day time and evening. Overall, its a good spot to come solo or with friends - whether it is packed or not. I think it is way better during warm weather so that you can also sit outside, if you like. If you come during times when they have a DJ, those experiences are generally good. Bed-Vyne is a nice neighborhood watering hole.“
“This place is a gem among a very busy borough of bars and lounges. I went with a girlfriend in February to catch up. I had first come here years over eight years ago and was so happy it's just as quiant as I remembered it. Service was quite nice too. I will definitely come back soon.“
“Huge airplane hangar of a brewery and taproom. Lots of beers on tap that run the gamut of tastes and styles. There's a lot of active stuff happening around here and you can really get lost in the enormous culture surrounding this place. Small food plates are available and they seem to have food pop-ups as well. The other night I had a pizza during happy hour that cost a mere ten dollars. What a steal!“
“Been wanting to try this place for a long time. The burgers? 12/10 get the farmhouse, and the A1 burger. Also homestyle tenders, big crispy and piping hot. The fries? Get the truffle fries, delicious. Huge burgers, great fries, chill environment. Outstanding I'll be back.EDIT: Apr9th I went back, fried mozz is killer and the A1 Burger is delicious. Well done guys great food“
“With its picturesque waterfront location, the club is a hub for social activities, recreation, and service. It offers a welcoming environment where members can enjoy a variety of entertainment options, maintain active lifestyles with tennis courts and playgrounds, and participate in family activities and sporting events. The club’s commitment to preserving a landmark in the community and providing a space for laughter, dance, and enjoyment makes it a cherished local institution.“
“Family, friends, and loved ones, what’s missing? Beer. They have it completing everything that is needed in life.Awesome weirdly decorated brewery with lots of seating and good vibes. Pricing is great and the staff is super nice. Definitely worth visiting.“
“I love stopping by while I'm in Queens. Now that I have discovered they have an Elf mural and a resident (of sorts) French bulldog with his own barstool, this is a must stop while visiting this neighborhood. Super laidback and the drinks are cold and flowing. The staff wants to ensure a good experience! Live music when I was there on a Friday early evening. Cheers!“
“A tight little bar that has a classic vibe. There is always a small, but well-curated beer list. Service is to-the-point as most NY service is, but also quick. It's a now-classic craft beer spot and a great place to kill a couple hours any night of the week.“
“I frequently visit this place with my girlfriend since it’s down the block from my house. I love the food and the service is great Christina and Kristen are amazing. Jackie is kind of rude so that’s the only downside and I tend to avoid the place when she’s bartending or hanging out with her friends there. Other than that I love coming here. Try to Mac and cheese get it well done and order some of the sliders and you’re golden!“
“If you're a foodie or just looking for an extraordinary dining experience, Rove on Austin St is the place to be!From the moment you step in, the ambiance captivates with its perfect blend of modern charm and cozy warmth. The staff is not just attentive but genuinely friendly, making you feel welcome and cared for throughout your visit.“
“This just may be my new favorite restaurant! We were referred to Ed's Elbow Room after failing to secure a reservation next door at Heidi's and this may be the best decision we have ever made. The food was amazing, the service by Wyatt is unmatched, and it was the perfect atmosphere for a long overdue date night. I will absolutely be coming here again!“
“We went on a Friday around 6, only a few customers in the place. Greeted by a friendly waiter who asked us to sit where we chose. Had the Yatenga salad for starters which the dressing was a bit bitter but the otherwise the salad was very fresh. Entrees were the chef special gambas and the mussels. Both plates were well presented, good portions, and very delicious. We ordered the apple tart for dessert which was ok.We will definitely be returning to try some of the other entrees.“
“Nook in Brooklyn is a delightful find! The cozy ambiance makes it perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a moment alone. And let's talk about their Cappuccino coffee—absolutely divine! Rich, creamy, and expertly crafted, it's a true treat for any coffee aficionado. Highly recommend stopping by for a sip of perfection.“
“If you're looking for a nice, chill spot to decompress after a long day, this is a great spot. Not to mention great for big sports events. Maliek on Thursdays and Sundays is AMAZING. His energy and service sells itself. During sports events, catch Disco on the grill during the warmer days. Cool local spot.“
“We had the VFW in Astoria booked for a celebration of life for my mom and brother. We waited and waited and no one showed up to let us in. A crowd began to gather and still no word from the VFW. My wife and sister searched the area and stumbled up The Local. They explained our situation and the bartender was more than accommodating. We were able to use the outside area which was quite spacious and bring our own food!!! All they asked was that we bought some drinks(which were amazing!!!) I will definitely visit the Local whenever I'm in Astoria!!!“
“Such a good spot. Cheap drinks, quaint vibe. It isn't always packed which is nice on weekends and even on a random weekday when you're just catching up with a bud. I need to mention again that the drinks are cheap! Get a good buzz on a budget. Love the ode to Twin Peaks in the back too! Do yourself a favor and have a chat with Charles the bartender. Super friendly dude, real funny, has some fun stories to share and he whips up a mean Moscow Mule. Love this spot!“
“Just hosted a surprise birthday here and it was a fantastic experience. Charlene did a great job coordinating with me to book the back deck which was an amazing space with local sports team decor, a good amount of seating and tables for my party and a flat scream TV to watch the game. They were very accommodating of us letting us bring our own food in and helping us keep our ice cream cake frozen. They even let us our own karaoke machine with the TV. It was a great time. Big shout out to Richie who took good care of us during the entire event. He made us all feel very at home. Will definitely host more events here in the future and go back to grab a drink and watch our favorite teams play.“
“This location is near my place and I always see it when I pass by. Tonight I felt like stopping by to pick an order to go. The place looks a cool spot to hang with friends and family and super clean and helpful. I skimmed thru the menu quick and the Karaage Curry caught my eye since it was a curry dish !!! I must say the food was good! However, it was a big disappointment in which there was no curry ..? Just some sweet sauce drizzled on the chicken katsu. I was really looking forward to this dish/my dinner but the curry was a no show! Kindly can do better with this dish by actually adding the curry sauce!!“
“A must visit! This is my second time here. This place offers a great selection of traditional German beers in the “boots” or stein! The food here is very good. It’s also very traditional German food but they also offer some American options such as salmon and burgers. The ambience is comfortable and service is very great. Friendly staff!“
“They have the most incredible fried chicken I've ever tasted, especially the mustard flavor. It's crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. And that's not all! They also boast a wide selection of draft beers, so you can find the perfect pairing for your fried chicken feast. Don't let the location deter you – this place is a hidden gem! Trust me, the incredible food is worth seeking out.“
“Placed a large take-out order with Flora on 2/25/24. Items were packed neatly and some sides were packed separately, as requested. The standouts are definitely the Shepard's pie and pot roast. The order was ready on arrival, even with the bar being so busy on Sunday. Unfortunately, they no longer serve scones in their breadbasket. I hope they bring these back. Great food and great people.“
“I recently hosted a surprise party at Borrelli's Taproom, and I cannot express how impressed I am with the overall experience. The staff went above and beyond to be attentive, friendly, and accommodating. From the appetizers to main courses—it was nothing short of outstanding. Thank you, Borrelli's, for making the surprise party an absolute success!“
“great food!! fresh & delicious ?literally probably the first time i got a chicken sandwich from somewhere and the chicken was actually perfect. curly fries are to die for and milkshakes were great. a tiny bit pricey but doesn’t hurt to fulfill your cravings every now and then!“
“Ordered crispy delicious potato pancakes and a tasty sausage platter. Bartender suggested a great beer I'd never heard of and it hit the spot. Conveniently located next to the movie theater.I'm getting hungry again just thinking about those potato pancakes.“
“Sissy McGintys is awesome!!! Maria and John the owner are fantastic. John took the time to come and talk to us and Maria was on point with the drinks and chat all night. Couldn’t recommend this place enough to have a fantastic night out…a must visit to anyone visiting New York.“
“Talea has friendly staff, large spaces for seating indoors and out, and a well-versed menu, plus scheduled programming throughout the week. I went to check them out after seeing them listed on the Seated app, and I was glad to discover this brewery. I really enjoyed my two Park Pilsners and look forward to trying more of Talea's offerings on my next visits. Excited to make this a regular hang spot among friends this summer.“
“We visited casually on a Saturday night and it turned into such a fun night! We knew they only serve beer or wine which is fine because the vibe they strives for is chill, laid back and catching up with friends. The owner Rick was so friendly and showed great customer service. They had a variety of beers to choose from which was great. My favorite thing and I know anyone who drinks beer will appreciate is how damn cold the beer was! Kudos for getting that right! Just picture an ice cold beer on a hot summer Saturday night, perfection! It is in my neighborhood and I will definitely recommend to anyone for a super chill vibe, hang out spot.“
