“We tried Hook & Reel for the first time and enjoyed it so much, we went back 2 days later. The food was well prepared, delicious, and served hot. Yummy lobster bisque, I ordered a 2nd bowl after finishing the first! Fried calamari was yummy as well. The raw oysters were perfect and the boil with Hook & Reel's own Cajun sauce was outstanding. Our server, Moe, was friendly and very efficient; he makes your dining experience error-free so you can relax and enjoy the meal. The Manager here gets credit for a well-run ship! He really appreciates the customers and it shows. You will definitely want to eat here frequently. Great service, tasty food, relaxed atmosphere - you won't be disappointed.”

While having our starters waitress informs us they if we don’t mind them adding 2 of their customers to our table so that the same chef will cook for us together.The hibachi grill part only had another party with us being the second & all other tables were empty. We told her we don’t feel comfortable with that and reminded her we are here for a party. So she comes back telling us her manager said it will have to be that way and we left. I can’t be believe that lost 5 customers over 2 and they even had the nerve to tell us to move over for them to add 2 people we didn’t know to our table. If the tables were all full we would have understood why but the whole place was empty. I would never recommend this place to anyone”

These were followed by the main course...choice of lemon sole, flank steak or chicken parm. Each and every dish was superb! Beyond this, the compassion shown by the staff was so consoling. I recommend this restaurant to all. You will thank me!”

They have this dine in special tasting menu for $49pp and $22pp for an hour of house wine or select cocktails! You can’t beat it!!! We started off with the mezze sampler: hummus, eggplant salad and tzatziki sauce. Then we had the beet salad and seabass. Next we both enjoyed our soups: Potato leek and clam chowder. For our next course we had veggie fritters (my favorite) and crab cake. Our main course was the baked lemon cod and the hangar steak accompanied by Parmesan risotto and lemon potatoes. Even though they came late they were still tasty! For dessert we both had Turkish tea on the house. I absolutely loved my baked havla while he devoured his St Peters cheesecake. I thoroughly sipped down all of the creative cocktails such as the Aegean Sea & Hibiscus Wave while my other half enjoyed his Sauvignon Blanc. We highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!!! Xoxo

My only area where I can see room for improvement is the Burger patty. It can be a little chewy and rough in spots. The location is hard to find. Not on a main street and not visible from a main street. If word of mouth hasn't got to you about this place, you may never know about it.”

I love their bubble tea as well. I order through Uber eats majority of the time, I wonder if I can directly order from this restaurant though. I think I’ll find that out. Today I ordered the matcha green tea bubble tea, usually I order the mango milk bubble tea. They must remember because Uber gave me a complimentary mango bubble tea. We were there from 630 to close catching up and the staff never rushed us out. They were so nice and pleasant. We ordered fried calamari and the salad with mango and goat cheese. Both were delicious. I ordered the fish special which was monkfish, clams and mussels over pasta with red sauce. My husband had the bronzini and our friend had the salmon. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. The only reason that I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the sauce in my entree was too salty as was the sauce on the salmon. If that was fixed, this place can't be beat.”

“I recently started going to The Coupe with a friend of mine who recommended it. It feels like I'm in midtown Manhattan when I go.. it's like a slice of Manhattan and Staten Island. The staff really works to provide a totally different environment than what you normally encounter in Staten Island. I'm writing this review because I wanted to express how much of a great time I've had when I go. Specifically one night I ordered something that I usually order, and this one night it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I didn't mean to complain, but I told the bartender that I was disappointed in what I received. Roy graciously took care of me, and promised me a better plate next time I entered. He apologized and asked me to reach out to him the next time I was coming so that he could be aware and make sure that I was taken care of. When I arrived he did just that and the plate I received was stellar. It's more the way that everyone there cared about my dissatisfaction and worked on that day and then the following visit to ensure that I was satisfied and serviced well.
I feel like the measure of customer service is greater when you encounter an issue with a proprietor and result that issue with care. I was very satisfied, and I'm actually on my way there for another great night at The Coupe.”

“Visited a restaurant for the birthday party in May 2022. Clean, welcomed staff, good service, a lot of parking on the street. We placed an order. It was not too long, which is good because the reservation was for 6:30 pm and everybody was hungry. Appetizers were delicious especially both types of calmers. 3 people ordered NYS trip stakes. OMG! All 3 stakes were stingy. Nobody finished the stake. Medium and well done came up the same. Black color even tongue was black after eating the steak. It's because when cooked the steak did not clean the grail. Also, I recommend checking your receipt. We found 3 items that we did not get on the table for a total of almost $80. One of them we never ordered, and two newer ones were delivered to the table.”

“My husband and I went to SIU Kitchen for the first time today. The food is excellent. We had their Coconut Chicken broth for our hotpot, (as I don’t like spicy foods), which was delicious. We also ordered some shrimp for the hotpot, which were HUGE, and tasted very fresh. There is also free parking behind the restaurant which is an additional plus. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
