“I love this place so much and have for many years--I live in NYC but THIS is my favorite place, the place I feel at home--fed with beautiful delicious food, and generous wine, the beauty of the place and the art (by Miguel), the warmth and love from the owners and server. They treated my husband, when he was disabled and going down, with the greatest kindness and care. This is my home, my food, my people. Love everything about it. I always feel renewed when I leave. A place of peace.”

“We were in Tarrytown on vacation and stopped in. I love to pick up local goods to bring home and I was not disappointed. Patrons and staff were kind and efficient. The Witch’s Brew beans I brought home are wonderful, mild, and full of flavor. Can’t wait to break into the second bag of beans I bought.”

“Grassroots kitchen was a good way to kickstart our Tarrytown weekend. Healthy options all around. From drinks, soups, meals - something for everyone who views the menu.
Comfortable and small. Spacious for a bigger group towards the back or a few seats at the front. Service was good, food was healthy and delicious. I enjoyed looking at menu and it's healthy benefits, staying green with utensils and other cookware, and the art on the wall.
Parking is available at the front, all payments accepted, service was friendly and good. Thank you for keeping us healthy with various options.”

“If you're a fan of pizza and looking for a unique twist on a classic favorite, then you have to try the chimi pizza at this spot. The combination of flavors is truly unlike anything I've ever experienced before. The crust is perfectly crispy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend giving it a try the next time you're craving a delicious slice of pizza. In my opinion, this definitely ranks as one of the best pizzas I've ever had.”

“Always great pizza, always delivered quickly -- and if you ask for "well-done" the pizza is crispy on the bottom. They will make any combination that you want, but we especially recommend the chicken marsala pizza, and a cheese pizza with pesto and mushrooms on top. YUM!”

“i came to Tarrytown to visit and stopped at this place to eat. I’ve never came here before but I hope I get to again! The place is very nice and clean and there is good service. They also speak Spanish! I tried the pepperoni pizza, mozzarella sticks and the chicken thingys (fingers I think) with fries. Everything was absolutely AMAZING ?️?️?️?️????? it was honestly so good I’m not even joking. It was so good that after i took my first bite of that pizza I knew I had to write a review ?? My favorite was the pizza, I can’t even describe it it was so good ?? it had such a great texture, it was like crunch and soft at the same time but the perfect amount of crunch that it didn’t feel burnt or anything and the slice was so big ?↕️?↕️ my only complaint is that it had a lot of oil on the top lol but it didn’t even taste oily or anything fr ?? anyway I don’t really like mozzarella sticks at restaurants because they always taste weird so I was a little worried to try these but they were SCRUMPTIOUS ?? there was not too much cheese and they were crunchy and everything bro, the chicken fingers were really good too, especially with the French fries!! Idk what they added to the French fries but they were amazing and EVERY single one was crunchy ?️?️??ANYWAYS I definitely recommend this place idk why I wrote all this but GO EAT HERE VRO ?️?️”

“Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service”
“Definitely a gem hidden in a hotel. They're muffins were delicious along with our late night snacks of fries, quesadillas, and flatbread. With it being a little pricey being in a hotel the food was worth the price. Service was fast and friendly.”

“I was looking for a quick vegan meal while in town and was impressed to see a Korean inspired place with a chipotle style model of service. I got purple rice, cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, fresh tofu, and the classic sauce. It was a tasty, quick option. The side of seaweed salad was just Ok. Kimchi was good.”

“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.”

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!”
