“I was staying in Tarrytown for business and went to Main Street to try the Vegan options at a casual grill. Since they were out of the dish I so wanted to try, I decided to explore other options. Right across the street I noticed Taste of China. I knew I would have no problem getting some type of vegetable dish and went inside. To my surprise, there was a full vegan menu with vegan chicken, beef, and seafood options. What the What?! I proceeded with ordering the Beef Sesame. The smells in the car were delicious and I couldn't wait to get back to my hotel to sample. Once I opened the container I saw mounds of a soy based, vegan beef with sliced carrots, scallions, broccoli, and asparagus swimming in a deliciously, sweet sauce. OMG!!! This surpassed my expectations and I quickly realized there was no way I could eat the entire entree. Dinner for tomorrow - not mad at all!“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. “Always drove by it and saw advertising in our local Clipper but never jumped in until a few days ago. Three Asians cuisine, Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. Plenty of different dishes to choose from specially if your family can agree on a cuisine. The service was great and attentive and the atmosphere was nice and mellow.Vegetarian options: Tofu or just veggies can be substituted.“
“Pretty darn good. We have been finding it hard to find really crave-able chinese takeout in the Burbs. We have gone so far as making our own wonton soup with homemade wontons. No more! We ordered wonton soup, crab rangoon, and cashew chicken combo. The wonton soup was D-LICIOUS!! Their wontons have nice, thick wrappers and are filled nicely. I believe they hand make the wrappers, which is a great added bonus to the quality. I'm not a big crab rangoon lover, but my husband is. He raved about them. The dipping sauce was definitely on par. The cashew chicken was good. It lacked the crave-ability I really was looking for, but it was good. Egg roll was great. Pork fried rice was a little lackluster. “Cool venue, but the food is not 5 stars, except for the Roasted Hen of the Woods and the Wild Mushroom Slippery Noodle (outstanding). For example, the Fried Chicken Dumplings are VERY fried, creating a hard crust that overwhelms whatever little stuffing there is. The Smoked Salmon Fried Rice, was meh, with just enough salmon bits to call the dish "salmon." The braised duck Bao had bits of bone in the meat. It's a cool venue, but based on reviews, I had higher expectations.Four other things need addressing. $0.50 added to each dish and mentioned on the menu, about using that money for "cooks and porters." That should be a management decision and does not have to shared with diners. It's not for the money...it's a distraction to the experience of dining out. The alcoholic drinks are about $12 (way too high) and there are no ice tea refills, so I ended up paying $15 for 3 glasses of ice tea. The service is too fast, clearing dishes the moment you are done and removing dishes of other diners while one diner is still eating. That creates a sense of stress. Finally, there is no signage on the property as to where the restaurant is, so many, wonder about looking for it.“

“Foo Chow, more like Foo WOW! Considering I said “wow” after every bite I took. My friends and I decided to order for our Friendsgiving and it couldn’t have been a better decision! The food was prepared fast and cooked to perfection. The steamed dumplings melt in your mouth and the Crab Rangoons had so much flavor you could feel it in your toes. “I have been purchasing food for take away, and dining in, at East Harbor for over 15 years. I tried my best to support during the pandemic and eat here at a minimum of once a week, if not more. The service is great and you get a good amount of food for the cost. I have never had a bad experience, and if anything they might go above and beyond, unexpectedly. It's got lots of options and while it is not 5 star, it is definitely one of my favourites, and has the cleanest bathrooms in Westchester. “I rate this 2 on value but 4 on taste. This is your typical American Chinese takeout but at a slightly higher end scale due to the location and clientele. Everything is well done and I personally never received anything that didn't taste fresh. A great example of what Human Village II is about is their make your "own" entre which is very Dominick's of Arthur Ave like . This is where you pick your meat, up to three veggies, type of sauce, and how you want it cooked and this starts at $18 but can climb upwards of $32. They have delicious perfectly cooked non greasy egg rolls but they are $3 each. They offer higher end fares like the filet mignon with Chinese broccoli but at $30. Their Pad Thai while not authentic is one of my favorite Pad Thais of all time. Their Chow Fun with roast pork is just as good as anything in Chinatown but $17. The soup dumplings are great but are $12 and in comparison something like this in Chinatown would be $5. Again, all the food here is very good for the type of restaurant it is, but the prices are simply very high for basically takeout Chinese when for $30+ an plate you can actually go out and get an actual upscale meal. You could argue that $30 an entre isn't bad but the size of each entre really isn't family style.“
