“This place deserves five stars hands down. Dogtown was such an amazing fun experience especially for three people visiting New York. Even if you're a local or you're from out of town the dog plates did not disappoint so much great food the home style fries were just crisp and hot and fresh this place was delicious beyond belief.Parking: Just easy to park I was grateful for that cuz a lot of places in the downtown area you got to pay.Kid-friendliness: There wasn't really a lot for my kid to do but the staff and the cooks did not care that my son was a turkey so that made a place more enjoyable.“

“Our first time here and we would definitely go back. There was so much on the menu we wanted to try. We ended up getting a bunch of small plates, all of which were excellent. My favorite, though, was the octopus. It was outstanding. The service was excellent as well.“
“Strangebird is a beautiful space and was bursting with energy when I stopped in for dinner. The decor reminded me of NYC or San Francisco, inspired design. The beers on tap are not your ordinary IPAs although they have a few of those. Sours, Belgians, and other interesting brews. I took home Mount Hope which is a lager with Pinot Noir grapes. I enjoyed the beers I tried, it pays to experiment. The food for me was decent, I opted for the smash-burger, which was serviceable, but the pizza looks like a good option. I would return to Strangebird. Outstanding service at the bar.“

“Absolutely great. From the people, to the design, to the food; of course. We had not been before last night which was a shame as I guess we stick to our normal places too much. But from the moment we walked in, every staff member was a absolute delight.Scott our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We started with the REDD Wings. They are Thai Chili coated with sesame seeds and spring onions. They were perfectly cooked with an amazing crunch. We couldn't have been more happy with the perfect balance of sweet and heat, and the decadent flavor.Personally I was torn between two specials, and the classic steak on offer on the regular menu. The one special was basically a comfort food; the classic beer battered fish fry, which ultimately Scott recommended since it was a special that is only available during Lent. This choice was amazing. He was right in that it was a basic fish fry, but elevated. The fish was tender and flaky, with a perfect beer battered shell that had a great crunch. The fries were great and handcut with a pillowy softness to them, but the tartar sauce was absolutely killer. And while the fish fry was an absolute stand out on its own; that tartar sauce just pushed it to the stratosphere! Get this if you see it on their menu.My wife got the Wild Fluke with Clams. The presentation of the dish was amazing, with a creamy sauce, tender clams, a flaky fish, and a rice base that absolutely was creamy and delicate holding onto the sauce. She usually sticks to basics, but went off her beaten path, and she was glad she did.For drinks we tried a couple of their specialty ones. My wife had the spicy margarita which was amazingly complex, and not too spicy. But it is a back of the throat spice if that sort of thing bothers you. I had the Negroni which was great as well. I've found you can tell a bartenders skill based on how well blended their Negroni is, and this one was masterfully crafted. Before I get to the deserts, their desert spoons have what seem to be a dent in them. It's supposed to be there. It's a French Sauce/Desert spoon that is supposed to allow the sauce or glaze of a desert enter the spoon without having to tip it too far and lose your bite on the utensil. Also, you may notice a small fork with a thick tine on it. That's a desert/pastry fork. The thicker tine is meant to replace you having to use a knife to cut the cake or pastry. The more you know. For desert was the decadent chocolate cake for my wife. It was rich and creamy with a scoop of ice cream. Great stuff. I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was fantastic as well, with the same requisite scoop of ice cream. So, after all that, just to once again say, this restaurant and it's food and people are well worth the visit. If you haven't been due to sticking with your normal haunts, you owe it to yourself to try it. Or, if you just only do a nice yearly sit down for a special occasion, make it here. After my friends and family all raving about REDD, I just wish my wife and I had tried it sooner.“

“As a chef for a fine dining restaurant, I give Edibles Restaurant a 10/10. I have not been able to eat anywhere since before March 2022 since that was the last time I was off from work to go out for dinner. I am so thrilled that I was recommended this fine establishment with the most down to earth, kind, and most hospitable team members. I very much enjoyed the lobster ravioli and my friend enjoyed the flank steak. Thank you for this amazing experience and I look forward coming again and recommend all to check this place out!“

“Loved this authentic diner on our short visit to Rochester. It's truly a hidden gem. Loved the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The food was exceptional. We tried their breakfast menu. We loved everything. The one thing we weren't too fond of was the hollandaise sauce on the Salmon Benedict. It wasn't as silky as it should've been. Other than that, everything else was on point. Our favorite was the nutella stuffed french toast. The french toast was warm while the fruits n whipped cream were cold. It is the perfect breakfast!“

“Some of the most amazing comfort food in Rochester. It’s restaurant quality food, but it tastes like it’s homemade with love at the same time. The owner is also supportive of human rights movements, so it’s a wholesome business all around!“
“I was invited to attend a concert at Fanatics in Lima, NY, to see the Jazz group, The Howard Levy 4. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted very warmly by Norm and a few other regular customers. We arrived early to have a meal. We had chicken wings, two "garbage plates, and the beef and cheddar sandwich. We were all very pleased with our meals, which arrived timely and hot. The bar provides top shelf drinks as well. The live music is played in the back where there is ample seating. To see the bands, you buy tickets and have assigned seating. You can also order food and drinks in here as well. My husband the fried zucchini with ranch, which he enjoyed. I opted for the decadent and very sweet, snicker peanut butter pie with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate. Delish! Fanatics reminds me of a "cheers" bar where everyone seems to know your name. Fanatics is a gem in this village of Lima!“

“Food is really good and service is also greatThe fries have great seasoningThe only complaint I have is the chairs inside while light weight and easy to move are super uncomfortable and if you are 50-60 pounds overweight are a tad tight and the metal is not very comfortable at all and hurt to sit inI’m still giving a 5 star review because the food is what is important and I will eat here again“

“Founders Café is a Rochester treasure. AMAZING food - everything on the menu is great, even if I tend to get the same thing most visits because I love their salads so much. But everything else - quiche, sandwiches, baked goods - are all phenomenal. Very friendly service and we're definitely always made to feel at home. Love it here.“

“Wow! It had great reviews so we decided to try. It was Friday Fish Fry. Halibut. This was some incredible fried halibut. One HUGE pc....very fresh too! I chose fries & onion rings. They were great too. My son had a burger, sweet potato fries, and a shake. He destroyed his food too! The sweet potato fries were probably the best I've ever tasted.“

“The food here is really good! They have a limited menu, which allows their food to be delicious. They even have a vegetarian option, which I feel like you don't often see on limited menus. “First, the food took its sweet time getting to us and the meal timing was off. My guest received their meal 13 minutes prior to mine. The food is absolutely delicious and the service/hostess/waitress were extremely nice. I love the Lost Meatball Ragu pasta dish but it’s a bit pricey at $22.00. All in all, a great experience. Perhaps they can tune things up a bit and work on those price-points. 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This place is awesome, fast, affordable especially with a family of 5 and the food is delicious. The only thing I question is the kids meal comes with free ice cream if they're good. Both times we went we had to ask for it. The scoops of ice cream as a dessert are expensive so I don't know if they're trying to save on cost. It'd be nice to be asked if they want it. Regardless of that we'll be regular weekend customers ?❤️ I had biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. They were super tasty!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu options“

“It was apparent that the new owner Vickie wants to change the whole vibe and not for the better. She could care less about accomadting you with options & if you have any food allergies. I do not recommend Nosh, not the same restaurant and feel its a turn for the worst. One out of the four meals one was acceptable we had 12/14/2023.The waitress very sweet but felt she was as frustrated as we were. Vickie the owner made no effort to accommodate us and was almost rude.I will pass this along, is a small coummiity in Rochester. Any postive reviews you read are prior to Vickie taking over restuarant.“

“My husband and I came here for the first time this past weekend. We were immediately seated after confirming our reservation, and our server (I wish we got his name/remembered!) was amazing!! He was very good about telling us where everything was sourced from, and he was also very convincing about how good the food they served was. I was interested in the Amish Chicken but was skeptical since I had no idea what a cream sherry was. When I asked him about it, he answered that it was rich in flavor and that he really enjoyed it. He must have still sensed my hesitancy and said, "Would you like to try some?", which I was so surprised about! He brought me over a small bowl with the cream sherry, and it was really good (savory with slight tartness to it). Everything we ordered was amazing, but it was his service that really made our experience so wonderful - thank you SO much!! We will definitely be back again!“

“Great food! Great music! The sound was on point! This little venue is so intimate. It just invites people in to have nothing but a good time. “The Owl House is one of those places I expected to dislike, but came away pleasantly surprised. It's a converted house, redone in a somewhat arch and artsy manner, with Alice in Wonderland motifs all over the walls and old-style cutlery and furniture to match. The food is over-priced, like all food everywhere nowadays, and the dishes quirky. And yet I've always enjoyed the meals, and had a good time there. Maybe it's the music, or lack thereof. No overpowering rap, throbbing techno, or wall-to-wall Superbowl. Just a nice quiet attractive place to sit, thoughtfully prepared food, and pleasant and unobstrusive service. The last meal I had was some intricate sampling of differently seasoned potatoes, but each one was just delightful, and the atmosphere was just subliminal enough that I could delight in my date too. I've never had a bad time or a bad meal here--elsewhere, for sure, but not here. I'll be coming back, I'm sure.“

“Great old style hamburger joint. Full of color and positive energy. Food menu was full of choices to satisfy every tastebud. The original and walhburger are still my favorites. Before you go make sure to check out the great coupon offers (simple Google search) you will happy at what you find. “Fantastic!Cocktails, food, service and atmosphere are perfect. I highly recommend the deviled eggs as appetizers. My friend had the salmon and ate every last bite. “Double date night! Wedge salad was excellent. A little heavy on the crumbled blue cheese and creamy blue. My boyfriend had the house salad to start and an iced tea. Split a funghi pizza with double chicken Vanilla crème brûlée to top off the night with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I also had the basil martini. I don't typically drink. I wanted to try something new. It was phenomenal. Our friends had the Risotto and Chicken Marsala. A few glasses of wine later and they had a great time and meal. The service was prompt. It was a busy Saturday night around 7pm. We will be back soon for another yummy dinner! No pictures this time around. We were enjoying time with our friends.“

“We walked into Dirty Dave's not knowing what to expect, we got our menus and the first thing g that struck me were the prices, so far good start. We ordered our drinks then our food, I ordered the New York strip, with fries and mac salad. My wife ordered the fish fry, my nephew got the Buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings.I'll start with the steak. The flavor was out of this world, savory delicious, the steak was so tender I didn't need a knife to cut it. I'd call it perfect, found no fault there, the Mac salad was some of the best I've ever had, the fries also perfect. Crispy outside, tender and fluffy inside. My nephew loved his onion rings and wrap, and my wife's fish fry was so big she had to take some with her. All in all, we had just about the perfect experience at Dirty Daves.I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, great prices and great service. The worst thing Dirty Dave's could do is fire their cook. We will be going back.“

“Found a gem this past weekend! Clean cozy little restaurant on Buffalo Rd. Went for breakfast and it was sooooo good. Typical breakfast menu with a couple of specials including Frittatas. The number one thing that impressed me most was everything was hot. Not warm it was hot, which is not easy to do. Hash browns were crispy, pancakes and French toast were tender, sausage was tasty and not greasy, eggs were hot! The waitress was attentive and friendly and our coffee mugs were never empty. Do yourselves a favor and try Ezzys!“

“Love this little diner. Food is awesome, service is fast and this place is always crowded. We tried to get here by nine and it was packed at that time. We did get a table and if you'd like, you can sit at the 'bar,' a long line of stools attached to a long table kind of like at a bar. They take cash or credit, phone orders for pick up. Cozy, nice atmosphere, kind of loud at times. I had the Mediterranean omelet, my kids had different variations of eggs, bacon or sandwiches and my husband had an Irish Eggs Benedict.“

“Wow. I’d read about the garbage plate, and on a recent trip to Rochester, decided I had to try it out. I’ll say that it’s a little difficult to find the restaurant. The signage looks like it is a few decades out of date, and you wonder if there’s anything in the building. The building is also kind of falling apart. You’d never know that a veritable goldmine of culinary delight is hiding behind the crumbling brick. Go around the back and enter in the glass door that is unlabeled. The staff was very eager to explain the various garbage plates. It’s not fancy, but it’s great. I loved everything about my dining experience at Nick Tahou Hots. Food was wonderful and served within five minutes of ordering. I’d give it six stars if it were allowed.“

“I give this place 5 stars not because it is very upscale, but the food is always hot, exactly as ordered, tasty, and the customer service is great. I've been 3x so far, and have added this place to my list of go to breakfast/brunch spots. Every time I've gone the crowd has been middle and upper aged, of all demographics, and pleasant. I will definitely be back, and recommend it to tjose who prefer good food and qaulity customer service. I'll also add, I took my 4 yr old with me on my second visit, and all staff were very pleasant with her even after she knocked a cup of tea over. This may seem a small deal to some, but how you're treated, especially with children, tells a lot about a business.“

“We've been hearing great things about CRISP Rochester and it did not disappoint. Despite being a little busy, they handled us with ease and a smile. Food was creative and tasty. There are several options for both vegetarians and vegans. What's really nice is that these offerings aren't an afterthought, rather they are creative options even an omnivore like me can enjoy (my spouse is vegetarian/pescatarian). The pimento cheese appetizer was fantastic. As good as I've had when traveling the Deep South. Unfortunately they were out of the Shrimp & Grits entree we wanted to try, but what we ordered was just fantastic. Our only comments are the "for the table" section's items are more single serving sized than true sharing portions. Still amazing, though we might have ordered more in advance if we'd known. Finally, there was a nice selection of mocktails as well as traditional cocktails. Like the comment about vegan/vegetarian options being creative, it's nice to see creative mocktails instead of just virgin versions of the same tired drinks. We will definitely return. The patio was lovely and the food great.“

“I've been to this place on several occasions over the past couple of years, and today, I have to say the food was disappointing ?. “We stayed at the RIT and stopped down for some dinner 'to go' back to our room. Service was very friendly and patient. Timing was appropriate and food to go was packaged well. The food itself was very good! The marinara sauce that came with mozzarella sticks was the best sauce I've EVER had and the mixed fruit and greens salad was delicious! Very fresh fruit and greens. I added grilled chicken and there was a lot it - loved it! Also their condiment bar is packed and we'll stocked with anything you'd need. Overall a really great dining experience.“
