“I work 12 hour shifts near here and I’m always soooo tired halfway through. I come here for a quick pick me up. The lady behind the counter is the absolute sweetest, drinks aside- she always lightens my mood. The açaí bowls are to die for- not mid. I’ve tried so many spots in Astoria and Vela is consistently yummy. Today. I went in for a milk tea and they ran out of boba. She went an extra mile to charge me for a medium despite me ordering a large! Soooo sweet. ??“
“The food here was AMAZING! And the atmosphere is great. Overall a wonderful place for a bite to eat! We had the Hawaiian torta and the birria burrito and both were absolutely amazing and super filling!!! Plus they had a bunch of Mexican snacks/drinks and it looks like they also have Mexican ice cream. I’m definitely coming back !“

“This coffee shop is a gem. It’s neat, modern, clean, and the atmosphere is super soothing. There are words of affirmation on their mugs, which was a nice surprise.I had a latte with oat milk and it was refreshing. Seems to be a good place to order some coffee, read a book or get some work done. I didn’t get to check if there was WiFi or not, but this is a place I’d be willing to use my hotspot for.The staff were very warm and welcoming — I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the neighborhood to try a pastry or two! “Another restaurant, Another creation by Chef Carlos but same authentic, same taste. Used to go hicksville restaurant on regular basis. Last night visited this location but missed to meet the Chef Carlos. It's beautiful restaurant, beautiful ambience, beautiful setup of tables. Bar is excellent addition. And food as I said earlier, is mouthwatering delicious ?. Service is great. Must try this location. Definitely going back again.Chicken burrito and shrimp burrito with mama's way, it super delicious. “In this part of queens it's hard to find a tasty fresh Brazilian cheese bread and this is the place. Don't be put off by it's location- it's located in the back of a Brazilian clothing/ bathing suit store and it's quite the gem. They have different sizes of the bread. I opted for the bigger ones and they were 3 dollars each or 2 for 5. It was soft crusty fluffy and cheesy. Just the right amount of cheese and chew flavor. The lady working the store was super nice and even though I don't speak Portuguese- I had no problem ordering. Please give them a try! This is the definition of mom and pop dive“
“Amazing dinner menu with so much flavor and vegetarian/vegan options! My husband and I are so glad we stumbled upon Pitanga while looking for a place to have dinner in Bushwick. I guess not too many people know that they now offer dinner because we were two of only a handful of people there at 9pm. Highly recommend getting the rice and bean soul dish. The service was also excellent! Can’t wait to go back.“

“Three of my coworkers and I stopped at this place for smoothies. I'm the only one who enjoyed my drink. I got the booster juice and it was exactly what I wanted it to be. The guy at the front desk was nice / a little weird. The person who got the green goddess said the only thing he could taste was the kale, it was lacking in everything else. The person who got the protein shake said it tasted different from when she had it the day prior and it was better the day before. The person who got the guava ladda said it was just okay I wouldn't mind giving them another chance and maybe trying some of the food options“
“Had them cater a work party after sampling a lunch and everyone was super pleased. Flanninis were perfect and salads were so pretty amd fresh we almost didn't want to eat them. Dressings were excellent. Poke bowl was super filling and flavorful. Avocado toast made fresh every time. Prices are very reasonable as well. Staff is super friendly and the app is easy to use as well...able to earn rewards. Bango bowls in NHP is a one stop shop for healthy yet also tasty options.Vegetarian options: Tofu is excellent, same seasoning that is used on the chicken.“
“Love, love, love Sobol! Truly the best açaí bowls and I have tried many. Their açaí is super creamy and the perfect amount of sweet. They layer granola on the bottom and top so you still have some left at the end. The fruit is always fresh and the portion is large! I've always received very quick, friendly service when I stop at this particular location.“
“Came to this place which is next door to the Blink Gym I went to earlier today. There seriously need to be more Juice bars close to gyms but I digress. I wanted to try the spot out for a post workout smoothie. They had a good selection and what caught my eye was the Cookies and Creme Muscle Up protein shake, the flavor is as it says plus I believe there was banana I tasted in there too, it was refreshing. I could've had a Panini there too but I was pressed for time and speaking of pressed, the joint is small, it's almost hard to breathe in there but I believe it's meant to be a place to get your stuff and go. The shake was delicious and I might prepare in advance to get another smoothie and a sandwich the next time I come there.“

“I stopped by yesterday afternoon to get some bagels for my daughter. Unfortunately they had closed 10 minutes before I got there. A gentleman came out of the store and said sorry we’re closed. You missed us by about 10 minutes. I told him I had just left a doctor’s appointment and was trying to get gluten free bagels for my daughter because she really enjoyed their bagels. He stopped and said he had three in the store. He went back into the store and brought me not only the 3 bagels but some frozen ones as well. His name is Mike and he is the owner. He didn’t have to go back into the store but he did. He made my day. There really are kind people in this world. Thank you Mike! You have a customer for life.“

Customer service was amazing They let you take your time to decide what you want and then we even have a conversation with they customers which was nice. “I've been a lot since I've lived here in the past 4 years. I've tried at least half of their menu. It's pretty good honestly. It's a little pricier than other spots in comparison, but so far I've had no complaints with the quality. Also service has been nice and straight forward too. My biggest issue is their hours. They don't always seem to open on time (10am) like they say they will. Their start time seems to be too late already with Planet Fitness right next door. I can't be the only morning workout person who would want a smoothie at least by 8:30-9am. It seems counterintuitive to business. Anyway, that's just a side thought on the way to the point that they are worth going to.“

The acai berry is 97 calories (per serving as per the sales lady) not to mention the fruits, coconut shavings and the Nutella (love, love, love it). So yeap!, once a week treat.“

As I love to support local businesses and especially a Black owned and Woman owned business I knew I was going there before I left Brooklyn. I'm glad we did too because this spot is quaint and very inviting. Expect to be greeted by a smile and recommendations. I tried the Strawberry Banana Smoothie (recommended by the Owner) and it was so good. Not too sweet just the way I like it. I can't remember exactly now what my Sisters had but they was slurping them thangs down as we walked back to our car!!! So when in Brooklyn head on over to meet Tiffany and her crew you won't be disappointed. Oh and cop a seat outside the bar and people watch while sipping.“

“Recently got a poke bowl with shrimp and spicy salmon, portions are pretty filling and a lot of selections to choose from to add into the bowl. The strawberry banana smoothie is my favorite, along with the bubble tea, mainly their mango milk tea and taro. There isn't much seating inside, mainly a take out spot I would assume. Limited street parking and the area can get busy during the weekends. Definitely recommend for everyone to try out!“

The lady in the counter was super nice, very friendly and extremely helpful. I got a pitaya bowl by her recommendation, and I really liked it. “First time buying a salad here after getting a salad from Chopt the day before. I must say Health Kitchen is better. One thing about health kitchen is that they have a lot more dressing options, and more importantly, their dressing is made in-house. The staff is super friendly, and are willing to give you samples to ensure you like what is offered. The staff does an excellent job with the up keep of the store. It's super clean! Fresh ingredients and clean store, what better combination. I highly recommend the Sante Fe salad with the cilantro dressing (if you like a little spice). I tried their smoothies over the summer and it was slamming. I will be coming back here often.“
