“Didn't expect it but, The New Taste of Italy was definitely magnificent. Rates are absolutely reasonable. Most everything I've tried so far have been pretty good. The team are really attentive and friendly and they're great at giving recommendations. I almost hate to give 5 stars cause I want to keep The New Taste of Italy a secret.“
“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
“This place is known for their classic thin pizza and square thick pizza. We had the pepperoni and Margherita pizza. Amazing! Perfect crispy crust with a light sauce. Long line for take out but we sat ate the bar to eat slices in air condition.“
“This is the best pizza I have ever had, nice crisp, light crust with just the right amount of toppings, no grease at all. I live in CT and thought no pizza was better than our New Haven ones, boy was I wrong!!! Looking forward to returning……soon!“
“A very good Italian address! Thin and delicious pizzas, be careful they are very large, in the photos they are the small ones! Possibility of having a half & half pizza: one recipe on one half, and a second on the other. Very friendly service. Booking is recommended !Vegetarian options: Lots of meatless pizzas“
“When we came we thought that it is going to be like many other good Neapolitan pizzas but it was simply THE BEST. Very nice environment and great service. The pizzas were so good and delicious so do the desserts. The many attempts we did for getting a reservation were completely worth it. Highly recommended!“
“Went there with a bunch of old time friends, the atmosphere there is great, the service was awesome, will definitely be going back, the food was off the hook!Vegetarian options: There's vegetables on the menu what else can I sayParking: It was 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening I pulled up got a spot right in front, done“
“One of my favorite pizza spots in Brooklyn. They are known for their Detroit style square pies. Excellent soft dough with delicious sauce & cheese. The inside is very electric & creatively put together. My first Detroit style pizza experience & I loved it.Parking: Paid street parking available outside but can be a bit difficult to find an available spot.“
“Joe's is very good pizza. It has become too much of a tourist spot, I am not going to wait in line for an hour to get a slice. There are many other very good pizza places. I usually go for an early lunch 11:30a you can typically get in and out easily during this time.“
“we thoroughly enjoyed eating here! we were a group of 30 and they seated us in their outdoor patio. the owner pointed out which items on the menu are halal and was so accommodating for our group! the entire experience was smooth. service was fast and they were so friendly. i’m going to be a regular here!!!“
“Also packed with a line outside the door for late lunch - but the interior is spacious with also outdoor seating! We got the Hell Boy and Mutz, which was a lot flavorful than a typical white pie with a great oomph from the garlic. We've tried the Hell Boy slice at MSG but getting it fresh and hot here is best - the sesame dough crunch is unreal!“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“So happy with this restaurant! The dishes were plated in such delicate and detailed way, perfect for get you ready to get into all the flavors. The Grandma-style pizza is a must! And arrive just in time! Also it’s such a great place with an amazing staff and the perfect ambiance; the brunch bartender suggested the best cocktails keep in mind my preferences about liquor.Definetly Loring Place continue show dishes full of flavor, color and an open invitation to come back for more.“
“This is my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. And they have the best pizza in the city in my opinion. I’m Italian and it’s very hard to find true Italian pizza!! But you can definitely find it at Aromi. You can also chat with the owners and the staff, they are really kind and the service is awesome. Also they have real delicious mascarpone and every time I ate that I wanted to cry because it reminds me of Italy! Really recommended!“
“probably the best pizza in new york city. the food was great, we tried 3 different options (and yes, we exchanged slices), they were all to die for. we ordered the spinaci salad and it was the best salad i’ve ever had. note: one salad is not enough to share since it is so good.“
“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“
“Food was so authentic and delicious! Service was great! A HUGE thank you to Brisa, our server! She was amazing, so so amiable and attentive! The other wait staff was so attentive as well, making sure our drinks were always filled! We had the Bucatini Alla Carbonara and Rigatoni Spicy Vodka..we highly recommend!!! And let’s not forget the Espresso Martini and Lemon Drop Martini!“
“My daughter suggests the fettucini alfredo. "It's super creamy and cheesy."The service and attention are top notch. They make you feel like an Italian cousin in town to visit! Warm and welcoming and delicious food. The homemade pasta was so fresh. We made a special trip from midtown just for lunch and it was worth it!Kid-friendliness: They were just lovely to our nine year old.“
“After a breathtaking view of New York from Rockefeller Center, hunger spontaneously drove us straight to Ace's.Without looking for long, we spontaneously decided to eat there. The furnishings in the style of the 80s and 90s appealed to us, and the ever-popular ALF was playing on a tube television.David, who served us, was incredibly personable and warm. At the end of our visit he even became my hero. The pizzas you get here are authentic and vary in dough and are prepared in a pan.We ordered the Hot Burrata, Vodka Meatball and the Buffalo Pizza. And we can say they were simply divine. Crispy, fluffy, juicy and tasty. This Detroit-style pizza blew us away, even as Neapolitans. Our favorite was definitely the Hot Burrata.A little tip: Order the small pan pizzas in different varieties, David will certainly give you good advice.Thank you again, David, for your hospitality and for bringing me my forgotten backpack (my hero). The fact that you found us in the crowd was nothing short of a miracle. In conclusion, if you're in New York, treat yourself to this pizza at Ace's. We will definitely do it again when we visit New York. Until then, we wish you all the best and keep it up!!“
“This place deserves more attention! I honestly found this spot on a whim omw back home but despite ordering takeout, the service and quality was great. Super friendly server/host and will definitely be back to dine-in. I got the 8” half bulgogi/half potato ? was v tasty and fresh. Everyone please go support this place! Thanks for the pear drink :D ?“
“We stopped by Roberta's for dinner after a comedy show. It was pouring out but Roberta's was packed and required a bit of a wait. We were seated in the back area where there was ample seating. We ordered: + Stracciatella: we attacked this appetizer once it came to our table. This dish came with two slices of bread which was enough for the big blob of cheese. + Marinated Olives: these were delicious and were fun to eat with our drinks + Little Gem Salad: this salad was refreshing, crunchy, and delicious. + Margherita Pizza: a basic margherita pizza done well. The crusts were also divulged (that's when you can tell the pizza is good). +Ice Cream Sandwich: we ended our dessert with their recommended sticky bun and ice cream dish. This was delicious and well worth the try. They tried to market it as a cinnamon roll but it is definitely much better than that. The staff was fun. They came by often to check on us but let us alone to chill for as long a we wanted. Cheers.“
“The bar is nice, good area of town, the host and everyone working there was cool. The pizza was just fine. Eaten better.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to get to the bathroom downstairs. It's a little crowded in the restaurant.“
“The pizza is first & foremost amazing! Im not a pizza kinda person but i could have their pizza everyday for sure, not even trying to exaggerate. My favorite is a bit basic, margarita/plain slice but they make it better than any other pizzeria ive had in NY?“
“FOOD- Freshly baked dough and rich tomato sauce, the crust, perfectly crisp on the outside yet delightfully chewy inside. Each bite bursts with flavor. The cheese stretches tantalizingly with freshness. An experience that captures the essence of New York's culinary heritage.PRICE - very reasonable.LOCATION -many surrounding shop.ATMOSPHERE- cozy, friendly staffs and clean!“
“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“
“This is such a gem in little italy. Its not tacky or stereotypical it has a wonderful atmosphere and a unique feel. We had a table outside but it was a little too cold, so the hostess gladly made accommodations for us to move inside which worked out perfectly. The menu is a perfect balance of classic and new. And the food never disappoints! The sizes are perfect for sharing as well. Come for a pizza, a pasta and a bottle of wine and you wont break the bank! If you're in little italy this is a must!“
“My first time dining here and it was a 10/10 experience, my friends and I were elated!! Food was served hot and fresh, large portions and friendly service — it was amazing! We sat in the outdoor sitting area, it was so great watching people come and go as we enjoyed our meals and chatted. I got the Chicken Parm, it was soo huge and filling. I highly recommend coming here — I look forward to visiting again!Kid-friendliness: Saw some families coming in and dining which was pretty sweet to see!“
“food was really good but I didn't like the way they treated this man standing outside in the rain. they treated him like he was trash and he didn't even do anything wrong. food was excellent but they need to treat all customers the same. treat the tourists the same as the homebodies!!!!“
“Gorgeous space, food was amazing. Would definitely come back to try more items off the menu. This time, I had the opportunity to try the hot mess with prosciutto on top. It was delicious. Went at an odd time between 2-3 so place was very quiet. However, it you can do not miss out if you are in the area and try this place out.“
“What a great place. I went here spontaneously for my birthday because a friend suggested it. It was totally worth it.We started with the Antipasto plate, then went to the vegan pasta bollente pizza, what I didn't realize at the time came with a pretty spice chilli, and finish with a bread pudding slice. We also had a couple of cocktails, which made the bill a little pricey, but if you didn't have drinks, it would be pretty affordable. The Antipasto plate was a great addition to the meal. The meats were scrumptious and the accoutrements added exactly what you would want for a antipasto plate. $24The Patata bellente was really good but if you don't like spicy food, steer clear of this one. I thought the potatoes would help subside the spice, but it was still very spicy. If you like spice this is the one for you. $18I can't remember what the bread pudding cost or even seeing it on the menu, but it was outstanding!!! Not to sweet, not too bready, it was just a bit of joy with every bite.Id definitely come back, and not just for a special occasion.“
“We had an excellent experience at Marcellino. The meatballs were fantastic. The mozzarella appetizer was one of our favorites. I especially loved the raspberry blossom drink. We had no problem making a reservation and the service was excellent.“
“Sitting at Diego’s bar made me a better wife, mother, daughter, and person. He brought me back to life and shared his passion for New York, making me excited about waking up tomorrow. If Sofia’s does not give Diego a significant raise, they will be doing themselves a disservice. Diego is the reason for Sofia’s. He is the light. Go to Sofia’s for Diego… And the orecchiette di salmone. Sofia’s is lucky to have him.“
“Best pizza to get when ur faded as a mf I highly recommend coming here drunkVegetarian options: Yeah but u a bxtch if u a vegetarianDietary restrictions: Just hit the gym if u fatParking: Jus walk u lazy fxckKid-friendliness: Yes but fk them kidsWheelchair accessibility: Yea“
“It's been a minute since my visit but it's recall a nice atmosphere, great service and tasty food. It was pretty hot inside (winter, heat) and we were seated at a community like table but with friendly folks who gave their vegan dining advice for the area!“
“The Best Pizza in NYC! - If you want the best pizza in NYC you have to go to Pop's Pizza. I'm a native New Yorker of 50 years and Pop's Pizza is my favorite pizza in NYC. They make a perfect slice... thin crispy crust with fresh sauce, toppings and ingredients. If you like garlic, you have to try the Margarita but no matter what you order every slice is amazing and the owners are fantastic. ?“
“Food, drinks, and service were incredible! My husband and I stumbled on this place on a date night in NYC, and it was absolutely perfect for a date night! The only thing is the restaurant is tiny tiny so don't think about having a large dinner party, but for a more intimate dinner or lunch, I would highly recommend it! The burrata was our absolute favorite dish! 10/10 recommend!“
“Solid spot for a slice or two of pizza. A little limited in options, but still delicious for the classic options. Plus their hot honey hits just right. Some limited seating in the back but the turnover is decent. Service was quick and brought it out to the table.“
“My partner and I were blown away by our dinner at Decades. The drinks we had were fabulous, I loved the "In Conclusion." The pizza is the perfect combo of Neopolitan and New York style pizza. I appreciate that they don't skimp on toppings. We had the best caesar salad of our lives. The service was excellent and the place feels very welcoming.“
“I went with my family to celebrate my 32nd birthday. The food was 10/10 andres, our waiter was super kind to us. The appetizers were super delicious. When the main course arrived, Andrés recommended that we combine my steak with a wine that was spectacular. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again and again.“
“Went there with my friend today. Hands down, best pizza I have had in Astoria. Order Marinara sauce on the side, trust me. Service was as good as the pizza, ladies inside were really nice. Highly recommend this place if you are a pizza lover like I am. I’ll be back for sure!“
“Pizza was good sauce was also good. The place is small and outdated for the prices. Almost to the point I wanted to skip pizza shop but friends insisted and they did not disappoint. Just wish the outside matched the food so it feels like the prices are worth it.Parking: Lucky if you can“
“Olio e Piu lived up to the hype for having one of the best Italian menus in Manhattan. The fresh pastas, decadent truffles, and vast selection of wine made this a delicious night. From burrata to truffle pasta to tiramisu, we enjoyed all areas of the menu!“
“Best pizza in New York!! I went here with my family for dinner and the experience was amazing! The service was professional with attention to details. The food was delicious, we all ordered different types of pizza and we loved every single bite. (They also have gluten free pizza). We will come back soon!“
“My family happened upon the best pizza of our lives!.We were waiting for a tour bus and wanted to grab a quick dinner. We saw the cute and vibrant colors of Unregular Pizza and decided to give it a try. WOW!WOW!WOW! It was the best pizza of my life! Staff was so friendly! We are from NC and looking forward to next NYC trip just for this pizza!“
“Absolutely amazing pizza! I enjoyed the Pesto Pizza. It was baked very well, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the balance of the different ingredients was greatThe place was clean and staff were kind. I hope to come back here the next time I'm in NYC“
“Never disappoints. The slice is crispy, clean, yet light and fluffy. The flavors complete and complement each other. I had the sage, sausage and onion, sweetish slice with the garlic knots. This is probably my 3rd time coming here (have also visited Frankie’s next door which I also recommend). The back is a vibe. I was hoping to gatekeep this place but I realize that everyone is Brooklyn already kinda knows it so oh well.“
“I recently celebrated my birthday at Vic’s with a group of friends, and it was an absolutely fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance was lively yet intimate, setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the ARANCINI, which were fried to perfection and surprisingly light, with a delightful balance of lemon and fontina cheese. The VODKA pizza was special, featuring unique toppings like guanciale and marjoram that perfectly complemented the gooey fontina cheese. The MAFALDINE pasta was a revelation, with its inventive combination of pistachio, chive, and bread crumbs creating a symphony of flavors and textures unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. And of course, the CHITARRA pasta with lobster and spicy tomato sauce was fresh and indulgent. To top it all off, the TIRAMISU dessert was the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. I highly recommend Vic’s for any special occasion or simply for a delicious meal with friends. Be sure to make a reservation, as this gem fills up quickly!“
“Abbiamo trovato Via Toscana per caso, ed è stata una coincidenza perfetta! Andrea e il resto dello staff sono stati gentilissimi, accoglienti, e precisi. Esperienza italiana di accoglienza vera e calorosa. Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo e dopocena al bancone e siamo stati tutti molto soddisfatti dell’esperienza. Grande chef Alessandro. Molto consigliato“
“My daughter decided I had to check this place out. She said I would love it!! She was so right. Located in Manhattan and easy to get to. Such a cool Italian restaurant. It had a great vibe that was so nice for an Italian restaurant in NYC. They have plenty of seating and take reservations. We started with some Italian bread with Olives that they bring out when you are checking the menu. Server had our glasses of Vino in no time. For appetizers we ordered some cheesy garlic bread and a shareable Caesar salad. So good. Menu has so many options for the pasta lover. All made in house. We ordered the Mussels Linguini with marinara my favorite and Lemon Pasta. Both were large portions and very tasty. They also had Steaks available as well as chicken parmigiana. For pizza lovers they have some of the best brick oven pizzas. To keep the prices down they are cash only. Perfect for someone who wants to save some money and leave full:) I will definitely be back. If you are around come check them out. Open until 2am as well. Enjoy!“
“Title: An Edible Time Capsule: My Childhood Pizza HavenReview:As a child growing up in Queens, New York, on 87th st on Jamaica At. the city's bustling streets were my playground and its pizza places, my second home. Among the many pizzerias I've sampled, one stands out as not only the best but also a significant part of my childhood - the name of which I hold close to my heart.Walking into this pizza place is like stepping into a time capsule, whisking me back to simpler times when life's biggest decisions were choosing a plain cheese slice or a slice of a Sicilian. The aroma of freshly baked dough, the sizzling symphony of melting cheese, and the tangy scent of tomato sauce colliding is an experience that never fails to evoke nostalgia. The pizzas where I remember - a perfect blend of chewy and crispy crust, generously laden with the freshest of ingredients. The cheese pulls away in long, glorious strands with each slice you take, testament to the love and care that goes into every pizza baked in their traditional stone ovens. But more than the pizza, it's the atmosphere that brings the memories flooding back. The warm and friendly staff, the faded black and white photographs adorning the walls, and the soft, ambient glow from the oven – everything about this place screams 'home'. The Italian atmosphere not just in the pizzeria, but the route the blocks of Jamaica Avenue.I've had the good fortune of sampling pizzas from around the many destinations, but none have come close to the experience this place offers. It's not just about the food, it's a heartfelt connection to my past. This isn't just a pizza place, it's a slice of my childhood, served fresh out of the oven. For authentic New York pizza experience, this is the place to be. Come for the pizza, stay for the memories. It's more than a meal, it's a journey back in time. Not sure if the original family owns it anymore! I moved when I was 12years old. I’m almost 45 now and it seems like it was yesterday and their Italian ice was my favorite during the summer time.“
