“Very authentic street Mexican. Good food. You enter the establishment, order in line and then they give you your food to eat at high standing tables. Great to eat quickly and well without spending a lot.Kid-friendliness: Yes, children are accepted.“
“phenomenal tacos made right in front of you. corn tortilla was a standout, along with the creamy guac. so many salsa topping options that you can load up your tacos with so much flavour that will blow your mind. only downside is the wait but if you get luck you’ll skip the line and dive into your tacos within 10mins.“
“Scarfed 'em down as soon as we got 'em! They are the minis but PACKED with meat and flavor. Sauces are optional and honestly uneeded. Both the Chicken and Steak are phenomenal. The Pork is a bit drowned in the Adobo, while the others stand on their own. Also, to mimic the infamous Pancho's Takos of Puerto Vallarta, the Al Pastor needs more than 2 "slivers" of Pineapple. They also changed up the Tortilla. It feels a bit thinner and lacks an authentic corn flavor, which they used to have. Still GOOD though.Overall, ALWAYS worth a visit!“
“Love birria-landia in brooklyn and decided to come to the roosevelt ave location. This one definitely seems larger as they had a whole section for orders and things. Food is always good but i will say it did get pretty expensive. Downside is that parking in this area is difficult.“
“Love all the items on the menu! Tacos were crispy, loaded with tender and juicy shredded pork. Each bite was a magical combination of savoriness, sourness, sweetness, cheesiness…insanely packed with flavors. The price is unbelievable in 2024 NYC! “
“THEYRE THE BOMB ?Los Tacos No.1 is an absolute gem in the bustling streets of New York City.Despite the crowds of tourists, locals, and imitators, this taqueria stands out as the best of the best. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the enticing aroma of sizzling meats and freshly pressed tortillas. And let me tell you, the taste lives up to the hype.Today, we indulged in the adobada quesadilla on a warm flour tortilla and the classic adobada taco "con todo" on corn tortillas. Each bite was a burst of flavor and freshness that transported us straight to the streets of Mexico. While the prices may be a bit higher than what I'm used to paying, the quality, freshness, and flavor more than justify the cost. In fact, I'd argue that it's worth every penny.Having lived in New York City for over 30 years, I can confidently say that Los Tacos No.1 ranks among the top 10 taco spots in the city. It's a testament to their commitment to excellence and dedication to serving up authentic and delicious Mexican street food.Whether you're a tourist or a local, Los Tacos No.1 is a must-visit destination for taco lovers in NYC. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.“
“This place is a fantastic cocktail bar! ? Donna serves a wonderful selection of cocktails ?, wine ? , and alcoholic drinks.? Definitely try the Hall Pass cocktail! The staff ?? is super friendly and the service is quick. ⏲️ The ambience ? is great and the place is nicely decorated. ?️ I wish I came here sooner!“
“Not quite as good as Tacos No. 1 but still pretty fun! The standout is the price point for the quality and freshness of the seafood that they are serving -- it's really hard to get fish tacos for under $5 anywhere and here they come fresh out of the fryer with unbelievably fresh salsa and toppings. That said, the combination of flavors doesn't match the heights of the Tacos No. 1 meat tacos -- it's great but it's nothing amazing like the sister establishment is. Given that, I'd recommend but it doesn't get my highest rating, especially since the space is pretty cramped and food can be somewhat slow to come out. Still the price is right if you are in the mood for fish tacos!“
“Watch out chipotle, they coming for you. I got a burrito bow at Tacobees, the ingredients are fresh, the spicy queso slamming, the steak properly seasoned, their hot sauce is homemade, and the portion is HUGE. Extras are also not that much, more. I just wish you had more “
“Not gonna lie the food was pretty good, there’s a nice ambiance in the spot, over looking the view of the city from queens but the thing that really did it was the waiter, Gary. Not gonna lie top 5 waiter I’ve ever had an encounter with and I’m a chef in the food industry. If you ever come here make sure Gary is your waiter, I promise he will not disappoint !!!!!“
“Ate a late brunch here and we really enjoyed it. Such a diverse menu, the food was so flavorful and the ingredients seemed quality. I got the Za'atar roasted cauliflower and loved it -- it was perfectly cooked. We also got chimichurri skewers as an appetizer which were also great! I was surprised how quiet it was, although it is probably more popular in the evening. This place deserves more traffic!“
“I'll keep this short and to the point: this is the best burrito I've had in the city hands down, and it's not close. Everything fresh and phenomenally seasoned, the lengua is succulent, the al pastor just the right spicy-sweet mix, I can't wait to try a few more meats. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out quick. As far as ambiance, getting in and out of there in record time is all you really want from a food truck. The best.“
“Ive been here a couple of times and as a LA native, this place definitely makes tacos that remind me of home. There is only outdoor seating so I would keep that in mind if you plan on visiting during colder weather. But The tacos were delicious and I got way more queso and chips than I was expecting. They were sold out the last time I stopped by so that should give you a good idea of the quality of the food.“
“The food is delicious here ! I got the Birria deluxe. It came with a cup of consomé, a taco de birria, empanada de birria, and I want to say a quesadilla de birria but I’m not quite sure I think it’s their twist of it. Overall all three were so good my favorite was the empanada never had that with birria and my mind was completely blown away with how delicious that was. I will say it does get chaotic inside with many people ordering waiting and on top of delivery orders so the wait was on the 30-45 mins. Other than that 10/10. I did also try the agua de horchata. I won’t say it was my top suggestion for horchata I felt it more on a leche side like a smoothie almost not sure why it was made that way instead of being more on the water side like it normally is but maybe that’s just their twist to it. Other than that great food. This was all $19.. the food itself was $15 .. so I know that can be a little high for some. One taco is $5.. so I would take that into consideration for some“
“Omg. Amazing food. Truly friendly owner with spot on recommendations. Deserves the high ratings. Mexican food here is all Puebla CDMX in origin. I’m more of a Cal Mex guy but fell in LOVE w the options here. Go! You won’t regret it.Vegetarian options: Lots of mushrooms and cactus options thst don’t feel like an afterthought which is the case at other Mexican places. Totally happy.“
“simple and fresh! not the most flavorful tacos i’ve ever had, but on the flip side i really appreciated the lower salt content and lack of grease. this is a great homestyle option you could eat regularly and still enjoy every time as much as the last.my one critique is that the beef definitely needed the lime and sauce to make up for being on the drier side.i’ll be coming back!“
“I work on third and 53rd do I go to the Hugh often for lunch. It is absolutely over priced -every single one of the businesses there... However... The food is freaking excellent, which is very surprising. I have gotten the fish tacos from PESCE de LULU with both the Mediterranean salad as well as the delicious )duck fat fried!!) french fries several times... Absolutely mouthwatering, and again extremely fresh.“
“I was so happy when this place moved into the area, because there are very few good options for Mexican food, or at least there were. This place is really amazing there meat is fresh, their vegetables are fresh and their tacos are really great. The staff is super nice. The taco al Pastor here might be among the best in the city only because the pineapple is cooked on the grill and it’s really nice. That charred caramelized pineapple as a real beautiful flavor. Reasonable prices too.“
“Hidden gem of a food truck. Lots of meat in the tacos. Delicious consomme. Open late. What's not to love? They have a deal for 3 tacos but I recommend getting 5 if you are hungry.Consomme has lots of meat chunks too so you will get your fill of protein here.“
“Good food and drinks. Beer was ice cold! Chips and salsa sampler was fun. The chips being full taco shells was different. The carnitas were the best tacos. Steak was good too. Potato was interesting but don’t let it sit- eat it first or it will Get soggy.“
“absolutely amazing!!! great local spot to visit in bay ridge. such a warm and welcoming environment, although the space was small the vibes were not haha. the staff was very welcoming and friendly and stopped by often to refill water or ask if we were in need of anything :) highly recommend because the food was AMAZING!!!“
“Sloppy and yummy Mexican tacos. So so so good! The taste was great, so flavourful. The soup next to it was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. Price was a little steep for my understanding but maybe that’s just the area. Friendly staff, cute atmosphere and great taste. What a dinner! Be prepared to get your hands dirty!“
“We got the pork and shrimp spring rolls, chicken dumplings and the chicken tacos. All items were really tasty. Very quick service. And reasonable prices. Would recommend coming here again if you’re shopping in SoHo and want to eat a nice meal after all the walking. It was easy to get a table on a Friday night too! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was not bad. Want to come here again and try the banh mi sandwiches next!“
“When I find a gem, I share it! Yes, yes, yes! Hallelujah to good food! We were trying to find some tacos to eat before going home and I came across a little taco truck that I had to try! They have the pastor tacos in the traditional rotating-roster, and they were delish! I also had an elote ? with everything, and a tiny bit of the powder-picante was enough for me to get a kick of spice in my mouth that turned on all the right taste buds! The lady who took care of us was polite, fast, and so kind! I will definitely be back to try the other tacos they have!!“
“Great!! As someone who grew up in TX, I’m usually disappointed in Manhattan’s Mexican food options, but this is actually authentic and delicious! The consumé in particular was phenomenal. Only way this could be better is if they also sold horchata or tamarindo aquas frescas?“
“Excellent Mexican food, the best tacos in all of New York, the spectacular attention, the service, the speed with which they prepare your food, the location. 100% Recommended, if you are close to the area, it is worth stopping by to try the carne asada tacos!!“
“Run don't walk to get the egg biscuit sandwich! Literally one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had. Don't sleep on their coffee either. VERY reasonably priced as well, friendly staff and just a great place to work on your laptop. A gem of a place in Sunset Pk.“
“This restaurant is a great choice if you want to hang loose and enjoy the music and environment. I really liked the drinks and the service by Nia is amazing. I would definitely recommend this to someone. I think this is a great Mexican cuisine. I would strongly recommend this place.“
“The food was really good! We had an assortment of tacos, and they were all large, good, and very filling. The theme of the restaurant is somewhat incoherent, a mix between maritime theme and classic rock with no real reference to Latin America whatsoever. It was fun would recommend.“
“I've been meaning to leave a review for this restaurant for some time. From the moment I first came here, I knew I'd become a regular, and I definitely have. BEST Mexican restaurant in NYC. Food is always consistently amazing. I always order the chicken & shrimp tacos. Flavor is amazing. The margarita's are strong. The service is always spectacular. Every worker here is so so kind and attentive. One of my overall fav restaurants. I love it here“
“Pork burrito bowl was phenomenal. Chorizo quesadilla was ALSO phenomenal. Wish they had horchata but ZERO disappointment with the quality of the food! Would make this a priority for a food stop if we ever cameBack to the area. They also have free water! Extra perk!!“
“Great service from Yesica. She was very kind, helper, and patient with my order. She took care of us so much, and those tacos were so delicious that I would come back as soon as possible. Keep in mind that if you want to eat and listen to great latin music, this is the right place,I recommend this please 100%“
“I had a lovely and memorable dining experience. I ordered the Spring rolls (which were delightful by the way): fried goodness served with lettuce wraps and julienne veggies. Super fresh and No guilt! My server, Alex, was what made the night! Although the spring rolls are served with fish sauce (delish!) Alex told me about the restaurant’s homemade soy sauce and offered to bring me a sample. What an amazing flavor profile: I happily alternated each bite between the two sauces. Sweet than savory—repeat. Also fun is the speakeasy style restroom and the sign above the toilet gave me a chuckle: “seat yourself.” Thanks for making my Friday night, Alex and 5Spice!“
“This has become my favorite spot on St. Marks Street. I often come here for tacos and tostadas when I’m in the area. The tostadas have crunchy shells with moist and tasty beef. Everything I’ve had here is full of flavor and delicious. Always fresh - the taste and texture is just right.“
“Can you say “las Catrinas” after a few of these delicious must cocktails , in a gringo acento ?This is and will be an Astoria icon. When the aliens arrive , this will be their first stop , bc the food and drinks its out of this world.GPAR our sever (hard to rsvp as well ) just an amazing person, always smiling always there when you need him , just like Superman!Cheers and thank you guys !“
“This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture.“
“Great lunch at a reasonable price with very friendly and efficient service. I will have to come back when I’m not working to try a margarita! While I don’t have any dietary restrictions, the server made sure to check when I ordered which I thought was above and beyond. Definitely recommend!“
“This is without a doubt the best banh mi in town. The bread is utter perfection, the ingredients always fresh, and just the right level of spice. The staff are very friendly and the owner is actively involved. I had a problem with my order, which he personally resolved. I was very impressed why his commitment to customer satisfaction. I will be a customer for life. Keep up the great work!“
“The churros are good, and I really like the mushroom tacos. And when I got mushrooms in my burrito bowl. The chicken taco was a bit spicy for me. I wish I can ask for no spicy things when I get delivery, but there isn't the option to request adjustments or changes via door dash.“
“I was feeling down and needed a happy moment or two. Found both with good food and great drinks at Street Taco. I was in the neighborhood and saw the sign out front for happy hour. Mood lighting accentuated with bright colors, and not too crowded. Just my vibe. There's a bright orange VW van in the back that serves as the kitchen counter, and the best part- Bad Bunny is in the drivers seat! There are big murals, brick and wood decor. Stepped up to the bar and it felt cozy. I ordered a Passion fruit jalapeño margarita $9 and mini nachos $6 (which were not so mini) off the HH menu. Loved the margarita. Sweet but not overly, with a spicy kick. As for the nachos, they were big enough for two me's, because I had leftovers. Needed to try one more thing, so I ordered a mini Brussels Sprouts Taco $3 and a Tecate $5 from Arturo. He was a lovely bartender. Friendly and attentive. Especially when he included me in a smooth tequila shot. That was nice. Parker from the restaurant was sitting at the bar next to me and made my glum, lonely night into a much better one. Chelsea and Andi rounded out the bar scene. With a disco ball, Street Taco Bingo, Taco Tuesday specials and a DJ on the weekends, Id have to imagine it gets rowdy here. For a Sunday night, it was quiet and perfect. I'm looking forward to coming back!“
“Saw this place in social media and I knew I had to try it, so I did and it did not let me down. The concept is a blend between mexico and India but the food if absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended to try! They have two locations, one in Hells Kitchen and another in Greenwich Village.“
“Great spot in Red Hook! Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was not too busy at all. TLDR: Staff was attentive, food was solid! Food: came in with a group and we got the shrimp tacos, Carne asada taco, guac, cheese quesadilla, and butternut squash quesadilla. Everything was good but I definitely preferred the quesadillas!Service: wasn't too busy when we visited and the staff were very nice and attentive. They had run out of tortillas for burritos and a couple taco meats but our waiter was helpful with suggesting alternativesGood for: casual spot to catch up with friends Inside tips: nothing really, just highly encourage you get the butternut squash quesadilla (:“
“It so happened that I've just gotten back from Mexico the week before so I had a fresh palate to compare Tacombi's tacos to. Well, they taste just like they do in Mejico! No water-down "Americanized" or Tex-mex here. Every ingredient adds flavor. Their tortillas are made of flavorful corn (not flavorless flour that just holds things together), their meats are deliciously seasoned and juicy (they don't rely on cheeses and salty greasy rice to get flavor), and their home-made salsas for the tacos go so well with the specific meat.My favorites? Baja Fish. The batter is light and crispy, and the cabbage and sauce make it a party flavor. A close second are the Sinaloa Shrimp and the Beef Birria (the consome is delicious).Since I don't live far, I've started to be a regular with my budsfor 2 for 1 Taco Tuesdays. We love that we don't have to wait to get seated, that the atmosphere is simple and casual, but more importantly, the service is friendly (thank you Deandra!) and quick! My wife also likes this place but, because she's vegetarian, there's only one type of taco (Black Bean & Sweet Potato) and one tostada (Avocado Tostada) that she can pick from. She loves those though! My only recommendation to Tacombi is to switch to corn on the cob for the street corn and to pleeez add Carnitas, another vegetarian choice (maybe re-fried beans and Nopal, or with Jackfruit [Yaka]) and, since it's roots are from Yucatan, why not Cochinita Pibil?All-in-all, not just one of my favorite spots in Forest Hills but actually in Queens!“
“The best birria tacos! Super juicy and loaded and they come with pickled onions on the side. Convenient location right next to parking lot. I usually get the meal (3 tacos and consome) and one or two extra tacos. Very filling. Staff are fast and friendly. Bring cash and don’t forget to tip.“
“First coming here date night with my boy friend and actually I am having dinner right now everything is so good ! I ordered the salt fish fritters oh my god !!!! Small black own business I really really enjoyed the vibe the food the drinks - drank one drink spicy mango margarita and I’m lit !!! Please come support them you won’t disappoint they takeThere time making food but it’s worth it !!“
“cute restaurant, bangin tacos and tostadas. wish we had this back home ?Vegetarian options: took the veggie tacos with black beans to go, had some extra guac, the sauces are spicy but delicious (to my painfully white palate)i actually had to wait like half an hour after getting the food to eat it bc planning reasons that are on me and the food still was delicious.“
“Damn. I should have gotten a picture but THAT’S HOW GOOD IT WAS. We got chicken tacos, an al pastor quesadilla and an asada quesadilla. Everything came with a bunch of guac, was freshly cooked, with good portions, and very (and I mean very) spicy salsa on the side. Al pastor was my fav, but that’s cause I’m a sucker for the savory/sweet. Get anything here and I’m sure it’ll be good.“
“Very cute place that I randomly stumbled upon while in little Italy, Arthur Avenue searching for somewhere to have lunch. They served Authentic Mexican juices like horchatas and Jamaica. As well as different Mexican dishes and ramen. The server who was also the owners son was really nice. I enjoyed the food. The place was very vibrant and welcoming.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at spread Love & Eat and I must say, it was an experience unlike any other. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in the warmth and charm of a kitchen brought to life. The owner's personal touch is evident from the outset, as he warmly welcomes you and shares his personal recommendations with genuine care and enthusiasm.I opted for the soup, and it was nothing short of exceptional. With each spoonful, it felt as though I was savoring the first taste of the new year - comforting, rejuvenating, and simply divine. The attention to detail in both the presentation and taste of the food was impeccable, earning a solid 10/10 in my book. What truly sets this establishment apart, however, is the unparalleled customer service. Each interaction felt like a heartfelt connection, as the staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or simply seeking a delightful dining experience, you won't be disappointed“
“Great Mexican place. food is really good and fresh, prices are average , margaritas have a great flavor but weak in alcohol.they even do karaokeParking: street parking. metersWheelchair accessibility: the restaurant has a step. So unless u have help to get u in. I would not recommend. Very tight spaces“
